I started getting monkey channels in my recommended over the past week but these people were abusing them and just exploiting them. I came across this channel and this is different. Im addicted to watching this channel. He doesn't bother them at all, he actually generally cares about these monkeys and it drew me in. This is the only channel Im subscribed too and when I come across those other channels that exploit and abuse them I just report them. Thank you for this channel and for what you do ❤️
👏Agree 💯 this is my first time back, in over year, 3 years ago AM was the first for me, is what got me started,before watching other Troupe's, and always coming back to AM and 1 other Troupe, showing how it should be, how it is, and could be, when "Observing, filming from a distance, with absolutely No Interferance, in what and how they do things. I love these animal's, can't believe I was so fortunate, to come back with a chance, to see and watch, a new born! blssed to see a new born
So am I! This is the best monkey channel! When I see abuse videos from other channels I report them too. But I don’t see option “animal abuse”, only “child abuse”(and sometimes I choose it). Usually I choose “dangerous”, “aggressive”. What option do you choose when you report abuse?
With the increase number of this creatures called monkey given birth here and there I hope they don't get over populated and start making like miserable for us someday. In my opinion
That wonderful lady who comes to feed them does it with so much joy. She just laughed when they knocked her cart over. She will be truly blessed for her kindness.
Sweet old Nan is always there to try to get Nora to be more kind and motherly to her babies. Offers to babysit when Nora starts to get abusive to the baby. Mostly gets ignored.
What a generous woman giving so many treats. Healthy treats and not just to one troop, either! This is how feeding should be done. Healthy and in a manner that doesn't provoke aggression.
Sadly I have no hope for this baby. She is doing the same as before last year, hugging it to her neck, not her chest. Hope I am wrong. For anyone skeptical about Nora, there is another VO on here called JW, and 2 to 3 years ago she filmed Nora being vicious to her baby at the time. I do believe he survived though.
That baby was literally JUST born. Her umbilical cord is still attached and fresh. And she already has broken skin on her face from being dragged. Nora needs to be fixed.
Arroz can you spray paint a big red X on Nora’s back to make her easy to find for the next sterilization roundup? If there was a Child Protective Services for baby monkeys Nora would have her babies taken for sure. She’s unfit.
Stop with the asking to interfere and mess up the troop if Nora was fixed can only imagine her kidnapping other babies and probably killing them to stay alpha, baby is freshly born doubt she dragged it and hurt it she's still bleeding and baby has fresh cord still so it was just born how ever long it took baby to dry off probably in couple hours of Nora hugging baby and baby hasn't latched on yet all signs baby is really fresh she's not abusing it at least not yet the face is from birthing
Today has been the first time in months that I've watched any monkey videos. I just can't handle all of those Cambodia videos anymore and how abused those animals are from the humans.

Since Nora is the matriarch of her troop I am surprised that she doesn't have more adaptive skills as a mother. How is that behaviour not a very heavy cost to the troop?
@@angelacarleton9575well that’s pretty obvious because they are in fact just (WILD) monkeys so therefore they don’t have any of wanting to get pregnant and giving birth. Wild macaques don’t have the choice of getting pregnant and becoming a mother, because they are not human beings. So therefore maybe you shouldn’t be treating them for anything more of what they truly are!!

Nora with her new baby gives me anxiety. I keep thinking what's gonna happen to this one? Will it suffer like the others or will she be more motherly? Now after watching her hoist her baby up to her chin (away from her nips) a few times, it's not looking good for this kid, either. So listen to me kid! Latch on or it's game . . . !

@@tngrandma242 glad you're ok.. little pusscat not had them yet but any day now..we have been feeding her with high calorie food and vitamin supplements she will need all the help she can get her little body is just so tired..and she is only around 2 yrs old.. she is monitored all the time in case she needs help with them..and as they're so small they might need help too..fingers crossed for all if them..just so glad we got her..don't feel guilty one iota..the vet says any day now..the longer she can hold on the better for them all..but nature doesn't work to a clock..I've got to take one of mine to the vet as she has a lump under her chin..i think its an abcess..so anti biotics for her then maybe surgery..ive got another that needs a dental op too..so expensive but got to be done..having my lockdown hair cut tomorrow thank God..its over my shoulder and i normally have short messy bedhead style..cannot wait especially with the warmer weather..got it in a tiny ponytail..god cant remember last time i had one of those..in my early teens..i have that style as both my shoulder rotator cuffs are knackered so cannot get my hands to the back to dry my hair so the messy look suits me fine..i just put a silver mousse on it to give it a bit of zing 😻.. might have it pink next time..
It’s beautiful seeing kind hearted individuals loving on these animals in a safe, responsible & respectful way. You can tell just by the food the women is passing out she wants to do right & has no ill or selfish intentions 🫰🏻 …the way this channel reports on them as if it’s a reality show (by simply observing & not interfering) also tells me that he just wants to share the entertainment that he experiences by watching them live their lives; makes his videos the most genuine monkey channel on RUclips. 🤩👏 is a breath of fresh air!
That’s about the freshest newborn I’ve seen- so cute and squishy. It’s amazing how they are able to cling on. Poor Nora looks tired. It’s always good seeing them get fresh healthy food - just what a new mother needs.
Freshly Born and seems already distressed with feeding frenzy going on for Nora. Hope for the best for lil one. they need get her spay this year when the traps are up and running.
YAY! Two newborns, how wonderful. At least the second baby seemed to be nursing well. The other poor little mite had the misfortune of being born to Nora. I do hope it's still alive today and I hope it's a boy since they seem to have a better chance of survival. A nice boy's name would be Nate, or do we already have one of those? Many thanks, Arroz! This is my favorite time of the year. All that precious new life really gives my spirit a lift!

Yeah why didn't the authorities take the time to sterilize the mothers who are consistent in baby abuse & infanticide?? There are some wonderful unnecessarily fixed females who can only surrogate babysit for ones like her.
@@cathrinewhite7629 The park authorities would have to take weeks or even months observing each individual troop to determine things like hierarchy and behavioral traits/habits. It would be a monumental undertaking. Arroz has been studying & documenting several troops for literally years but he is only familiar with a small fraction of the now 3000+ macaques in the Hong Kong Parks. There simply isn’t enough resources (time & money) to determine which individual animals should be spared sterilization or conversely, be spayed or neutered. These macaques are not endangered. In fact, there are too many of them in many locations in Southeast Asia or India. The authorities want to prevent the population from from becoming a danger to each other, local wildlife, & humans in a quest for territory & food. It’s a numbers game and we are fortunate that Hong Kong is doing the more humane tubal ligations & vasectomies, instead of hysterectomies & castrations, or even worse culling healthy animals to reduce populations.

I too stumbled across this video and was pleasantly surprised that Arroz Marisco is telling it like it is and not abusing or interfering with the monkeys' lives. Keep up. the good work. It is nice to know that someone isn't lying, using slingshots or drugging the monkeys to make money off of naive people sending money to others who are abusing these beautiful animals. God bless you!
I should add that y'all can save any scolding comments because it will fall on deaf ears. While over the years AM taught me to have some compassion & understanding for Tina & Gypsy, Nora has absolutely NO excuses so there'll be no compassion for her!
Tina is a good mum shes just like gypsy very low ranking and skittish, her only fault was taking the food out of teeny and tinys pouches, but am said its very likely how Tina's mother was with her.

I would like to see spanky have her second baby. She got broke in good with her first baby sparky. She learned to be a good mom but wow what a first time baby. She was so energetic feisty with a mind of her own. Loved when she saved her lil aunt from kidnapper such a smart and loyal to her family baby she was. She showed no fear just went after the kidnapper like it was what she was supposed to do. What a special baby she was but she has such a loving mom also.

The compassionate lady who pushes the food trolley up the hill is a kind soul, who goes put of her way to feed the different troops. However, I'm not so confident about Nora. I'll say a prayer and hope she doesn't mistreat her baby like the last two who died. She might just changed her ways--only time will tell. 🙏🙏🙏🙊🙊🙊🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Only a few hours old and already that poor baby is desperately trying to cling on as best it can with no help whatsoever, and instead of being held close and cuddled after the traumatic experience of birth and the loss of a warm, protective environment with all its needs met, left to lie on the ground half the time and flung about like a rag doll most of the other half. The only time it’s being ‘held’ is when Nora is trying to hold her ear of corn and eat beans at the same time and her arm crosses over the baby. Because of the corn, not the baby. Nora doesn’t even try to help the baby lift itself close enough to latch on and nurse. It may be instinct for the baby to try but at just birth it needs support, physically and psychologically. Some may see Nora as ‘late bloomer’ with motherhood, but it’s more that luck has allowed some of her babies to survive. She’s abused all of her babies to some level (The eldest, Vince, seems to have made it off lightest), and on a non emotional, practical side, since the two that she basically starved to death were girls, she’s not helping the troop any by growing their numbers. I can only hope that Celessa and any other daughters that manage to live through infancy and eventually have babies of their own don’t repeat this cycle but model their behaviour on the other mothers around them or on that of their aunt/grandmother Nan. Yes, it’s the wild and they are not people, but these particular animals are so closely related to us that it’s difficult not to notice some behavioural similarities, and certainly not difficult to see the difference between an abusive parent (Nora), a desperate one with few resources and societal stigma that affects behaviour (Gypsy, Tina), and loving mothers like Norma, Reddy, Dolly, Gaby, etc. The possibly short life of this baby will be difficult to watch. And the treatment it will receive even if it survives equally excruciating.
I think this baby is nigel? If so hes fine,big and healthy. Poor baby cessa didn't make it, the girl before celessa, who is spoilt can be a brat, causes arguments and knows nora will defend her. Can't help laughing at that though.
That's one beautiful baby.I hope the mom will love and care gently for her precious.Nora must have learned from gypsy in not caring for the baby.. praying for the baby's life.
Let me translate for u what the kind lady said when she saw Nora’s baby,she noticed that Nora wasn’t very keen with her new baby so she said “ if I knew I would bring along some milk. “ therefore she wasn’t going to touch the new baby,so I think she is very very familiar with the monkeys & thank u for bringing so much joy for us to watch specially we are going through our 3rd week of Lockdown.
Nora's doing the same thing she did with Cessa. And it resulted in Cessa dying. I with she and Tina would get sterilized. Some macaque females aren't made to be moms. I was hoping that the death of Cessa, just last year, fresh in her mind she would be more accommodating to a baby. Sadly, it doesn't look like that is the case. Shes still refusing to even hold the baby in the area where it could find a teat and nurse. The baby looks very lethargic. Not animated in the slightest. Now I understand that it takes some moms a day or so before their milk comes in and until then they may be reluctant to allow the baby near a teat. But a mom who will encourage some nursing even before the milk comes in will start to produce milk sooner than those who wait. When the milk comes in there are glands surrounding the teat that produce a smell that attracts the baby's rooting to the teat area to nurse.
Too bad they don't have vets to help them when they get hurt, I fell down the stairs and broke my right ring finger in March it is taking forever to heal after surgery

Nora with her new baby gives me anxiety. I keep thinking what's gonna happen to this one? Will it suffer like the others or will she be more motherly? Now after watching her hoist her baby up to her chin (away from her nips) a few times, it's not looking good for this kid, either.

@@tngrandma242 glad you're ok.. little pusscat not had them yet but any day now..we have been feeding her with high calorie food and vitamin supplements she will need all the help she can get her little body is just so tired..and she is only around 2 yrs old.. she is monitored all the time in case she needs help with them..and as they're so small they might need help too..fingers crossed for all if them..just so glad we got her..don't feel guilty one iota..the vet says any day now..the longer she can hold on the better for them all..but nature doesn't work to a clock..I've got to take one of mine to the vet as she has a lump under her chin..i think its an abcess..so anti biotics for her then maybe surgery..ive got another that needs a dental op too..so expensive but got to be done..having my lockdown hair cut tomorrow thank God..its over my shoulder and i normally have short messy bedhead style..cannot wait especially with the warmer weather..got it in a tiny ponytail..god cant remember last time i had one of those..in my early teens..i have that style as both my shoulder rotator cuffs are knackered so cannot get my hands to the back to dry my hair so the messy look suits me fine..i just put a silver mousse on it to give it a bit of zing 😻.. might have it pink next time..
It’s beautiful seeing kind hearted individuals loving on these animals in a safe, responsible & respectful way. You can tell just by the food the women is passing out she wants to do right & has no ill or selfish intentions 🫰🏻 …the way this channel reports on them as if it’s a reality show (by simply observing & not interfering) also tells me that he just wants to share the entertainment that he experiences by watching them live their lives; makes his videos the most genuine monkey channel on RUclips. 🤩👏

That’s about the freshest newborn I’ve seen- so cute and squishy. It’s amazing how they are able to cling on. Poor Nora looks tired. It’s always good seeing them get fresh healthy food - just what a new mother needs.
Let's just hope she doesn't kill this as she has some of her other babies. This baby is very lethargic, which worries me.

YAY! Two newborns, how wonderful. At least the second baby seemed to be nursing well. The other poor little mite had the misfortune of being born to Nora. I do hope it's still alive today and I hope it's a boy since they seem to have a better chance of survival. A nice boy's name would be Nate, or do we already have one of those?

Well this new lady at least is a lovely addition for the monkeys, she at least is trying to give them more nutritional food which is very helpful during this season.

Yeah why didn't the authorities take the time to sterilize the mothers who are consistent in baby abuse & infanticide?? There are some wonderful unnecessarily fixed females who can only surrogate babysit for ones like her.

It would be a monumental undertaking. Arroz has been studying & documenting several troops for literally years but he is only familiar with a small fraction of the now 3000+ macaques in the Hong Kong Parks. There simply isn’t enough resources (time & money) to determine which individual animals should be spared sterilization or conversely, be spayed or neutered.
These macaques are not endangered. In fact, there are too many of them in many locations in Southeast Asia or India. The authorities want to prevent the population from from becoming a danger to each other, local wildlife, & humans in a quest for territory & food. It’s a numbers game and we are fortunate that Hong Kong is doing the more humane tubal ligations & vasectomies, instead of hysterectomies & castrations, or even worse culling healthy animals to reduce populations.

I should add that y'all can save any scolding comments because it will fall on deaf ears. While over the years AM taught me to have some compassion & understanding for Tina & Gypsy, Nora has absolutely NO excuses so there'll be no compassion for her!
Tina is a good mum shes just like gypsy very low ranking and skittish, her only fault was taking the food out of teeny and tinys pouches, but am said its very likely how Tina's mother was with her.

I would like to see spanky have her second baby. She got broke in good with her first baby sparky. She learned to be a good mom but wow what a first time baby. She was so energetic feisty with a mind of her own. Loved when she saved her lil aunt from kidnapper such a smart and loyal to her family baby she was. She showed no fear just went after the kidnapper like it was what she was supposed to do. What a special baby she was but she has such a loving mom also.

The compassionate lady who pushes the food trolley up the hill is a kind soul, who goes put of her way to feed the different troops.
However, I'm not so confident about Nora. I'll say a prayer and hope she doesn't mistreat her baby like the last two who died.

Only a few hours old and already that poor baby is desperately trying to cling on as best it can with no help whatsoever, and instead of being held close and cuddled after the traumatic experience of birth and the loss of a warm, protective environment with all its needs met, left to lie on the ground half the time and flung about like a rag doll most of the other half. The only time it’s being ‘held’ is when Nora is trying to hold her ear of corn and eat beans at the same time and her arm crosses over the baby. Because of the corn, not the baby. Nora doesn’t even try to help the baby lift itself close enough to latch on and nurse. It may be instinct for the baby to try but at just birth it needs support, physically and psychologically. Some may see Nora as ‘late bloomer’ with motherhood, but it’s more that luck has allowed some of her babies to survive. She’s abused all of her babies to some level (The eldest, Vince, seems to have made it off lightest), and on a non emotional, practical side, since the two that she basically starved to death were girls, she’s not helping the troop any by growing their numbers. I can only hope that Celessa and any other daughters that manage to live through infancy and eventually have babies of their own don’t repeat this cycle but model their behaviour on the other mothers around them or on that of their aunt/grandmother Nan. Yes, it’s the wild and they are not people, but these particular animals are so closely related to us that it’s difficult not to notice some behavioural similarities, and certainly not difficult to see the difference between an abusive parent (Nora), a desperate one with few resources and societal stigma that affects behaviour (Gypsy, Tina), and loving mothers like Norma, Reddy, Dolly, Gaby, etc. The possibly short life of this baby will be difficult to watch. And the treatment it will receive even if it survives equally excruciating.

I think this baby is nigel? If so hes fine,big and healthy. Poor baby cessa didn't make it, the girl before celessa, who is spoilt can be a brat, causes arguments and knows nora will defend her. Can't help laughing at that though.
Those particular baby’s remind me of teddy bears probably because of their fur. They’re prettier than the other newborns who are pretty themselves!

Let me translate for u what the kind lady said when she saw Nora’s baby,she noticed that Nora wasn’t very keen with her new baby so she said “ if I knew I would bring along some milk. “ therefore she wasn’t going to touch the new baby,so I think she is very very familiar with the monkeys & thank u for bringing so much joy for us to watch specially we are going through our 3rd week of Lockdown.

Nora's doing the same thing she did with Cessa. And it resulted in Cessa dying. I with she and Tina would get sterilized. Some macaque females aren't made to be moms. I was hoping that the death of Cessa, just last year, fresh in her mind she would be more accommodating to a baby. Sadly, it doesn't look like that is the case. Shes still refusing to even hold the baby in the area where it could find a teat and nurse. The baby looks very lethargic. Not animated in the slightest. Now I understand that it takes some moms a day or so before their milk comes in and until then they may be reluctant to allow the baby near a teat. But a mom who will encourage some nursing even before the milk comes in will start to produce milk sooner than those who wait. When the milk comes in there are glands surrounding the teat that produce a smell that attracts the baby's rooting to the teat area to nurse.
Too bad they don't have vets to help them when they get hurt, I fell down the stairs and broke my right ring finger in March it is taking forever to heal after surgery
