- IN THIS VIDEO I'M GOING TO TEACH YOU THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SIGNING COMPANIES, NOTARY DATABASES OR LISTING SITES AND SIGNING PLATFORMS! As a new signing agent, you will have a lot of new terms to learn. Three of those terms are signing companies, notary databases or notary listing sites, and signing platforms. Not knowing the difference between these three entities can cause a lot of confusion for new signing agents.

I completed all the requirements with NSA and they declined my background check because of TRAFFIC TICKET VIOLATIONS 😲🥺🤦🏻♀️ I was chocked when I saw that, and was very disappointed, I guess I’ll have to wait 10 years after those tickets so I can re apply 🤷🏻♀️ or find another company that accept individuals with a clean background and don’t care about traffic violations that happened 5 years ago. Any recommendations will help! Thank you

This is a wealth of good info...I just got sworn in yesterday..and looking for a starting point...
Hi..thank you for all of the expertise you have shared... I am new, just became commissioned and certified as a loan signer two months ago. I finally dived in and had my first loan signing 2 day ago, it was intense... but made it through it without any issues... what a relief! I am an experienced real estate sales person and loan originator...so I thought it would be a lot easier... just need to be VERY detailed orientated and focused. Of course the courses I took helped immensely and all of the videos I watched from you and others were extremely, beneficial. I love this!!!

Thanks, this was very informative, I a new signing agent and I lack experience so when I fill out the application I don’t know what to type for the amount of closings I have done.
If you haven't done any then be honest. But, in your profile be sure to list any training that you've had (like the NNA Signing Agent certification) and any skills or previous experience that are good qualities for a signing agent to have (attention to detail, ability to compete tasks independently etc) . There ARE companies who will give work to new signing agents, you just have to put your information out on as many lists and databases as possible. We were all new once. And once you get that first one it gets easier! 😁

Hi Kendra, thank you for your informative video. I'm still awaiting my Notary Commission Packet from the Secretary of State, which should arrive any day. I haven't worked since 2008 due to some serious neck injuries and am really excited for this next chapter.
Question... is Snap Docs a platform that works much like Uber??? Where they post a "job" in your area and you can claim it or not???

I am not sure what platform to sign up for as an individual One person that has a company. Is docverify a goa sod platform what do you suggest. I am signing agent in florida and I just pass for the NNA for e-signing.

Would you suggest that new LSA start with a signing company in order to get the experience?
It depends on the LSA, if you haven't had any real training and you don't feel comfortable with direct title business then sure, start off with signing companies.
There are no hard and fast rules or one path to success as a signing agent. Each signing agent has to figure out what works for them. 👍🏾

I am a new Signing Agent and I want to launch out real big by signing up with a number of the companies and databases that you mentioned in the video. However, can you please advise me on the industry rating of Notary Resume and Signature Closers. Furthermore, if I have to subscribe to their service, is is mandatory, or optional, that I provide them with my SSN? That is a tough one for me, because I wonder what they would need it for! Please advise and guide me, to enable me take an informed decision. Thank you.

If you plan on working through a company that you form do you generally list your company name or individual name in the various databases and snapdocs? thanks for any information you can provide
I would list my individual name. Signing companies aren't looking to hire a "company" for signings, they want to hire an individual signing agent. Not to mention, your notary commission isn't in a company name, it is in your individual name. However, you can usually indicate if you want your checks made payable to your business name.

Hello I just applied on line with notary public America. I ordered the package for $90 I received 3 emails.... one with my username, one with my receipt, and then I received another one with an application and paper that I’m supposed to sign and have notarized and then send it in with a money order?? Does that sound right? I’m assuming after that they send me notary stamp and journal? So basically I paid them $90 for the package, but I’m really not approved yet until I send them the other stuff? What if I’m not approved, do they keep the $90? I assumed I’d be done after I applied online. So I gotta get this notarized and send $30 with the application after I applied online, does that sound right? I’m in Washington state. Thanks for your time
Every company and every state has different ways of completing the application to become a notary public. I am in Texas and I don't work for notary public America so I have no way of knowing what their steps are.
Follow the instructions carefully and if you have questions contact notary public America.

Hi i m struggling to get work. I have a profile on notary rotary and snap docs. I tried to signup to get work from some website and it says they have my profile from either snap docs or notary rotary and some signing companies have no link to enter my info. Its been 2 months and i havent got a single job request.

This isn't something that can be quickly answered in a comment, you need signing agent training! There are a LOT of ways to mess up a signing, and if you have these types of questions training is definitely needed!

Letting you know that American Notary USA, is a member base site. You must pay out $4.99 per month or $39.99 for a year. I don't like having to put out money to a Notary site, just to get work. Maybe you might want to let people know this. I will say, you are very informative about the industry. I wonder where you got your experience. Are you in Texas, as I see in the background you have a Texas sign. I am in Richmond, Texas. With all the marketing I do, I am not getting work on a daily basis like I want. How do you handle this problem, or is it due to Covid-19. Thank you.
That is INCORRECT. You DO NOT have to pay to be listed on American Notary USA. They have a Basic plan that is absolutely FREE. On the membership page if you scroll down past the Platinum plan you will see the FREE Basic plan. The upgraded Platinum plan does have a monthly or annual fee. Most reputable databases have Free plans and paid plans.
Please do more thorough research before making such statements 😉
And I've been even busier than normal during COVID-19! It is not slow AT ALL!!
I've found that if a signing agent isn't getting business it USUALLY is for 1 or 2 reasons (or a combination of both).
1 - They don't know how to complete a signing efficiently and effectively. People should say "that's was the easiest / smoothest / most efficient loan signing I've ever seen" when you conduct a loan signing. If they don't you have room for improvement with your training.
2 - Your marketing is ineffective or insufficient. People either spend their time "marketing" in ways that simply don't work OR they are not marketing enough.

I TRIED TO SIGN UP ON 123NOTARY PUT IN ALL MY INFO THEY TOLD ME I DONT QUALIFY FOR A FREE LISTING SMH
Yep, 123 Notary gets mixed reviews, signing agents either love it or hate it. I have personally never been a fan of 123 Notary. Good thing is they are NOT the only way to get business!

The National Notary Association is also NOT a platform, it is NOT a database and it is NOT a signing company.
