Wow this is so amazing. Great composition, editing, grading everything is perfect. I have a question to you. I am upgrading from sony a7iii. Thinking about siii, fp and lumix s5iix. Which one would you like to shoot documentary films? I have nothing to do with AF. thank you😊 would love to see your awesome works
Hi you capture lovely footage. Did you use super scale in resolve? I had an fp and a lot of reviews said the HD is soft but I found it usable with some sharpening add in the raw tab, most cameras can't handle sharpening but somehting about the dng handles it and it looks closer to 4k without any nneed to super scale etc. Also what compression ratio do you use in slim raw before it will effect the qualiy of the footage?

Nice. What I notice with the Sigma FP is that it allows contrast in all the right places. It looks like Kodak 2383. My problem is that You can never make a 60 minute movie with this camera . From what I hear it takes up like 2TB. which makes it just an expensive toy.
You can compress the raw file losslessly in post. 2tb hd is as low as $50 here. The fp is the only cdng full frame cinema camera in the market. If it is the case, it might be worth it for you.
@@hideki_film the quality of the footage is very impressive . It looks like an arri. I just purchased the Sony F3 so that I can do some commercial work but I wasn’t to do short films I think the look of the Sigma Fp comes closer to the look of film than the Sony FX3. I would keep both cameras and hope that Sigma doesn’t stop support and updates for the FP
@@Sjaubi-qf6wd I really love the cdng. Our current only choices are the fp & og. I hope other camera manufacturers start considering internal cdng recording again. Thank you.

Hey love this video, truly. I was wondering, what lens would you recommend for this camera? As i'm just going to buy one to start with :) I'm looking to get a similar look as the one you have in this video and am also confused as to how you get everything in focus. Thank you,
The kit lens 45mm is good to start I think. I personally prefer to use old lenses for this camera. Canon fd and Contax Zeiss. Those are very affordable. I set the aperture above f11, and focus at infinity. I hardly pull focus after that. Thank you.
At 0:50 what are those rice shape lanterns called? I've googled Chinese lanterns, paper lantern, pill lanterns, even Rice lantern. I can't find one in that specific shape.
Amazing colours and shots. Do you use the BMD conversion to develop the DNG files in Davinci ? Do You use filmconvert, or just simply grading only in Resolve? Thanks!
This is such a an excellent work man. Can you share the tips for getting the autofocus for the Sigma FP-L. I want to buy the Sigma FP L but had serious doubt about the Autofocus, because mainly I will shoot people on street, and some landscape. Keep up the good works :)
I find your visual work to be among my favorite! If you don't mind me asking, would you consider the Sigma fp to be a suitable upgrade from the original blackmagic pocket cinema camera? I saw in another video that you were looking into possibly getting the GH6, and I'm very excited to see what you film with it if you do.
I would say the fp is a genuine successor of the bmpcc og, not the 4K or 6k camera. CDNG file is so rich and organic. I tried the gh6. Movie is good but photography sucks. I decided not to own it. The fp produces amazing still images. I highly recommend the fp camera if you’re looking for upgrading from the og camera. Thank you.
Your videos are so simple, natural and aesthetic. you don't need anything special, just a good camera and a stabilizer for it, and I think the key is composition ,lights and movements.
The tones and mood you create are beautiful. So cinematic! I am very intrigued by the fp and am considering switching from a Sony FX3. Any thoughts about that?
I’ve owned the a7siii for a very short period of time. It’s a good camera. Both the Sony and the fp camera has its own advantages and purposes. Switching from the fx3 to fp? I wouldn’t simply recommend that. A long story short, the fx3 is replaceable with any other recent cameras, but the fp is NOT. I hope you will make a wise choice. Thank you.
Amazing! Thanks for the video! I've read all questions and comments, am I correct that you shot all of it in 4K 12bits and compressed with slimraw? I'm a bit confused by some answers with a ref to 1080p and the "FHD" on the video description. The other question is that you mention to avoid the autofocus for the recordings, could you describe your gear to follow focus? Or you keep it on a certain level all the time? Thanks!
I mostly shot in 1080p (= FHD), then compressed with SlimRaw. I set focus before I started filming, and didn’t touch the focus during shoot. Thank you.
Finally you are back. Excellent work, as always!
Thank you.
This amazingly cinematic Hideki - every shot is telling me a story - it’s got a lot humanity - thank you for sharing ⛩🎥🎬

Almost looks like super16.
Great
Very nice work. Did you use base ISO 3200 for the night shots? Did you need noise reduction in post? Thanks!
I used up to 6400 I think. NR necessary. Thanks

Contax Zeiss 28mm.

Yes on the 45. It’s an excellent kit lens.

Yes
amazing work as always. How many cameras do you own? Seems you rotate quite often
2 cameras currently. Thank you.
sooo good! looks like film. did you use 1080 or 4K on the 24p scenes?
Shot in 1080, exported in UHD. Thanks

Other 3 options are the GH5S or Z-Cam E2 (-M4)
