I like to use extra dark green leaves. Wash them , cut them in strips. Cook in a separate boiler with a little cooking oil until tender. After the white
cabbage is done, drain the liquid off green cabbage strips and add to white cabbage. This makes the presentation better and it doesn't affect
the taste, just the appearance! Love your dish 😍

I LOVE cabbage! I fix cabbage, onions and tomatoes (diced) sometimes. Soooo good. Tonight b/c I have a very busy afternoon, I am chopping up my cabbage, onions, and when it's done, adding a can of corned beef hash. I put the top on the frying pan, and allow it to get hot and tender, and it is a really tasty dinner (and very inexpensive too!) I've never put Lipton Onion Soup in my cabbage-I'll have to try that sometime. Your food ALWAYS looks so delicious!

Thank you, Ms. Chris. I will be trying your smothered cabbage. I'm Austrian, Hungarian decent and we fry it down in a stick of butter, salt, and pepper and of course the onion until it is somewhat browned then we mix in cooked egg noodles. We also sometimes cook in some smoked sausage.

This looks so yummy. I take the cowards way out and do not use Lipton. I do use dehydrated onion when I am in a hurry and thick bacon. When not pressed for time, I do use fresh white onion. Thanks. You are making me hungry!
