I filmed this on my webcam... LOL we will be back to the good quality videos next week but here ya go :)
It's excellent❤
Still looks terrific!!!🎉🎉😂
I actually prefer this way of filming. Not so perfect & clean, more old style - like you used to. It feels more intimate and real. Just my two cents. Love 'ya, mean it!!! 🙂❤️
@@lf7065I feel that way too!!! Honestly and it’s so easy 😂 😊
@@NeishaSalasBerry❤
I'm a Ketovore. Mostly Carnivore, but occasionally I'll have a few berries or a salad. On vacation, I will eat a few sweets and some cocktails. Sometimes, you just have to adjust to your environment and not become a miserable creature. I stick to the program 90% of my life. But I don't feel guilty for being a normal human who likes to eat
Same!!
Same here!
Same
Yuuuup. I'm going to a wedding in 2 weeks. I'm gonna eat the cake. I go to a wedding every 2ish years if that? It's not garbage seed oil birthday cake. It's the good stuff! Live a little!
Me too!
I am someone who cannot moderate which is what brought me to keto in the first place. Having a roll will send me on a downward spiral. I wish it wasn’t that way but I’m glad I stopped trying to have everything in moderation like other people and torture myself constantly
I am the same. There are foods that I just can't have sober behavior with, it sucks, but I know it is what it is.
Me too!
Me too!
Me too! Eating one birthday cupcake will send me into carb cravings for days.
Its painful to have to watch you explain yourself to the haters. I for one was happy to see you enjoy yourself on a vacation that was once in a lifetime(at least for me). So glad you enjoyed yourself and did you boo!!! You have healed your body, you know how far you can push your body, and you deserve treat yourself without guilt on your vaca!!!
My husband and I had a staycation last weekend. We went a Mexican restaurant. I had fajitas without the tortillas and I enjoyed the chips and salsa. We also went to a burger joint the next day. I had a lettuce wrapped burger and some fries on the side. Once we got back I went back to keto. It’s all about balance and doing what works for you. I feel fine. Enjoy!
Good for you! Knowing yourself and doing your best to stay on plan or close to it is a great strategy. I do the same thing when I go out to a restaurant too!
I went to a Texas BBQ restaurant and had ribs and chicken. I put very little BBQ sauce on my meats but did drizzle a tiny bit on just for taste. I also had some Cole slaw and a few of my girlfriend’s French fries (3 or 4?) with a little bit of ketchup.
Overall I felt I did pretty well all things considering!😊
@@Papacarnivore15 exactly! You have to do what works for you and know how much you can indulge every now and then. I am happy that I’m at the point where I can do this now. It hasn’t always been this way. I was not able to moderate in the past and tasting those non keto foods would trigger me to fall off the wagon.
Thank you for being you, If is important for everyone to find what works for them. Can you tell me the name of the protein pancake mix you use?
I definitely would have the fries over the hamburger bun!! Good for you!❤
@@LilCraftyNookI just did that; went to 5 Guys and ordered two burger patties with cheese no bun and had some of my husband's fries; you really enjoy something when it is a once in awhile thing.
I'm jealous of people who can have something off plan and then hop right back on. If I do that, I'm derailed for a good two weeks!
It’s amazing that you know that about yourself. That is KEY!!!
Knowing that about yourself is your Super Power, hooray for you
Don't you dare feel the need to defend your amazing trip and what you ate or drank while there. You do you ! You've been at this way of eating for so long, you can do whatever you feel good doing! Thanks for all the great videos ❤
I'm 100% grateful for being a moderator. I am the same way. I can eat two bites of something and be over it.
I won’t know what that’s like … it was never two Oreos it’s the entire pack . Not satisfied until it’s empty . Been struggling with this my entire life .
@@Christinesobsevationsme to I am an addict I can’t just have one or two bites
@@elizabethgerads3717 yes … even berries are a huge no for me . I can’t even moderate dairy right now . One day 💕
There are some foods I can moderate and some that I can’t. I guess you just need to know which you are, a moderator or an abstainer. Also you need to know which foods you can’t moderate and avoid those!😊
Same....I love to eat savoury foods. Not sweet. Love meat..but odd times ill have a date or a piece of chocolate (and typically not a fan), and my body is accepting if I genuinely feel happy about it. Isn't it amazing when we "let go", so many other aspects of us heal.☮️
I'm so glad you share realistic eating for special occasions. I really appreciate that about your channel.
Ditto!😊
Exactly no dogma! And Ken eats differently than her! Its why I started following both of them!
I this the “controversial” video?! People are ridiculous. Go, Neisha, go!
Being carnivore-ISH has made me very healthy. I love that I have my ISH figured out. And yes, it took me years. Hooray 🎉
Me:
❤️❤️ sugar & wheat
💛💛 some fruits, corn, potatoes, keto desserts
✅✅ all the meats, dairy & berries
Everyone experiments with food when they travel. You have nothing to explain. I, too, eat a healthy diet of meat, fat, and low low carb. When I decide to have something "other"..... I know the price! And I enjoy it thoroughly, knowing said price. I was happy to follow your London trip videos, and glad you enjoyed yourself!
It's a great 'teachable moment' for folks who may be obsessive or fear straying from the path (the path? whaever! lol) ... love & light~! xx
Some day there will be a carnivore option on planes and such, once it becomes popular enough 🙂
Neisha you are making me want to grow out my gray. Beautiful hair and beautiful person!!
I’m loving the traffic light analogy. It will work well for me!
I love Ketovore because it’s ‘liveable’ and not a dogmatic approach. I love that if I want to try and introduce a new food that’s not meat, I can trial it without guilt that I went ‘off plan’.
First of all, how dare you??? 😆 Second, I love that you're sharing all this rather than just showing what is perceived as "perfection". I feel like my journey over the past few years has been one of becoming free from that perfection/orthorexic mindset. It's HARD work but SO worth it! And my more recent journey has been one of learning that there are things that can actually heal my body to the point where my list of green light food can actually expand! Life is good on this side! 🚦🚦🚦
I appreciate YOU! It’s a reminder that we all need to figure out what works for us. I’m still trying to figure it out. Ignore the haters. Some people thrive on being negative.
You are such a breath of fresh air in the health community
Your London vlog was just fantastic!!❤ i will probably never go there, but it was super fun living vicariously through you and Dr. Berry ❤❤🎉
Thank you so much!!
You don't have to explain yourself but it will help others to see how you live
I think that sharing maintenance eating is essential!!!! I was introduced to low carb years ago. I found out that gluten was my enemy!!!! I’ve finally years later got sick of being unwell. Now I know what to avoid. Cheese gluten some vegetables. I eat mostly meat I prefer red meat. I feel amazing! Now there are times out to eat I’ll have a French fry etc. but being on plan most of the time for me is important. Everyone needs to figure out their plan. Loved the London vlog thanks for sharing!!!
Thank you so much 🥰 so glad you have found what works for you
Yes I agree. I went out to dinner with my girlfriend this weekend to a Texas BBQ restaurant and had ribs and chicken. I out just a little bit of BBQ sauce on my meats and had some Cloe slaw and 3 or 4 of her French fries with a little Toney bit of ketchup.
Overall I felt I did my best to stay on plan but also enjoy myself at the same time. 😊
@@Papacarnivore15 amen. Pizza pasta even gluten free I can’t tolerate. Plus I’ve been carrying around this 30lbs for too many years, so I got super serious. My A1C is 4.9 so I’m not afraid of diabetes but too much sugar isn’t best for me so I watch. I’m so happy to have been educated more by wonderful doctors like Berry and Neisha, yes I believe Neisha deserves a Dr status for her dedication to health. We can enjoy our nights out in moderation and go right back on plan. Most people can do that and should. Thanks for the discussion.
I think I've seen Kelly Hogan (my zero carb life) and the Carnivore Dr talk about putting foods into red, yellow, and green categories.
Yes, she does have a video about it too :)
I really appreciate your realistic view on eating and eating what works best for you and allows you to still be able to go out and socialize and not feel left out. ❤
Thanks Neisha❤
My goal in life as a 57 year old is to move to Paris and live on coffee, French fries. and champagne 🍾 I’m Canadian French by Genealogy, though I’m from Louisiana.. Maden name is Jusselin ….pronounced Juicelain in French .😄🥰🍾
Shout out from "Acadia". I'm 1/4 French, Nova Scotia. Come visit the Land of Evangeline, you'll love it! :)
Is this me, omg, I live in Louisiana and live on coffee and champagne, lol
And I’m 58!!
Thank you for this video👍👍
I can eat sourdough bread and as long as it is a small piece, I’m all good.
I don’t have sober behavior around bread. I love bread with butter on top so much that it must be avoided at all costs. Same with pork rinds and cheese.
Everyone is different so it’s important to know yourself and what you can eat in moderation and what you can’t. Those you can’t, I recommend abstaining from them completely if possible. 😊
@@Papacarnivore15 Yes! I have so many foods in that category😂. I am happy I can do this with bread. I have to say, I never really eat it, though. I just have it once in a while and only a small amount.
Same here! I make myself very small real sourdough English muffins and enjoy for breakfast sometimes
Welcome back !!!
Love how you're so real. Thank you!
Keeping it Real , Neisha! Helpful info!
I loved seeing London with you🙏❤️
Love your approach Neisha❤️
Glad to see you back!!
Love your balanced approach ❤
100% agree with you each person is so different and you need to find what works for you!
Loved your London video!!!!! it was very enjoyable to watch!
Thank you for showing us London on your last video. Really enjoyed it.
I loved your blog and I follow a similar approach on vacation
Thanks for your vlog! It was a bit of a trip down memory lane for me as I was in Europe for 6 weeks back in 1970. We stayed in London for almost a week. Enjoyed the sights, which by the way, haven't changed much at all in 50 years!! Welcome home!!! 🥩🧈🥓🥚💪❣️
I love how transparent you are and consistently telling your viewers that what you eat and your lifestyle is what works for YOU... But may not work for everyone. I've been keto/carnivore for 18 mths and still haven't found the proper human diet that works for me. I haven't lost much weight and still deal with skin rashes. I have been able to figure out a few foods that make me feel terrible. Hoping that my hubby and i can come to a conference soon. Would love to meet you and Dr. Berry! 😊
My advice after 485 days on keto and now 90% carnivore is to do a strict 60-90 days of Lion Diet as an elimination diet to get back to a baseline of health and see if your skin rash goes away. You should also begin to lose a lot of weight in the process.
Then, after you do the strict elimination diet, as Neisha would tell you, add back in ONE food at a time to see if it negatively affects you or not.
For instance, Neisha can’t tolerate mustard greens… they make her very ill.
I’ve added back in occasional avocado, berries and some non starchy veg like asparagus, Brussels sprouts, fermented veg (sauerkraut, Kimchee and pickled cabbage)…. These don’t bother me.
Hope this helps ya!!😊😊
Thank you so much. Excellent useable info!
16:12 Thank you Neisha, I appreciate all that you shared and don't understand how people can miss what you are saying. You continue to say that everyone is different, and what works for you may not work for someone else. God bless you ♥️
Glad you and Dr. Berry had a wonderful time away!! Love the traffic light illustration for foods. Will try it. Thanks!
Thank you for this video and keeping it real Neisha I needed to hear this. I just celebrated my 60th went off plan now back on and moving on.
LOVE this! Great way of looking at it-red,yellow and green foods! Simple! Thank you for this video Neisha! Welcome home...xoxoxoxo
I'm coming to the TN conference in August! Looking forward to seeing you in person. 🎉
Absolutely loved your London vid. I lived vicariously through your menu choices. All the food and drinks looked so tasty. Off to London end of next month. You’ve made me so excited about visiting. Your traffic lights made everything so simple. 👏🇦🇺
Helpful tips as I begin the PHD, thank you ☺️ Enjoyed your London vlog. ❤
Definitely have missed your videos!! This was a fantastic conversation and very obtainable. It’s always time, isn’t it 🙃. We all want quick results and easy answers.
❤I loved your video of your trip to London, Neisha. You showed us a holiday, even though it was work. You went to a lot of trouble filming, editing and putting it uo very quickly for your fans to enjoy.
Most people will never make it there, and the sights, food and experience was a delight.
I loved to see you let your hair down, have a drink, have a nibble of a pie and enjoy the gastronomical delights of another country.
I could really pick up on the fun you and Ken had, just enjoying each other and time away from home.
Bless you.
Keep them videos rolling. You inspire me big time❤
Thank you so much for sharing how you categorize foods to determine if you can indulge in them. Your point about knowing what your body can handle is ABSOLUTELY key to being successful on keto/ketovore!
Thanks Neisha. As always informative and helpful ❤. Grateful for your honesty and tips to help each of us to find our way 🥰. Full of admiration for the work you and Ken are doing to help anyone who is willing to listen with an open mind 🙏❤️🙏
I love your transparency. I hope to get to the place you are were you can have a little, and it does not trigger a land slide.
Neisha’s Traffic Light… love it!😂 Loved your London vlog as it really gave me courage to know I can stick to my “ketovore” plan on my upcoming vacation. Been on this journey seriously since January, and the healing my body has gone through is amazing! No more tachycardia, no more panic attacks…. That alone is a game changer. So glad I found your channel! Keep inspiring. Keep changing lives!🩷
I love your stop light analogy! Going to use it now for me!
You’re awesome! I have lived by the traffic light system for about a year now! Freedom
Makes perfect sense. Love your content xx
Goodness! Go Neshia- we are human living in this world using what we know about the the PHD - thank you 💜🙏🏻💜
Girl!! I always Learn Something that HELPS me!!! Stay You!!!❤❤
Love the Traffic light!!!!!
Hi Neisha great attitude it will be sustainable through pregnancies perimenopause and whatever life throws at us women ❤
Great informative video! This is for real life people. Everybody needs to decide for themselves what they can tolerate.
Truly appreciate your open book relationship and honesty with all of us. You didn't have to do this but we are all glad you did. It makes us feel better seeing we aren't the only ones. It's ok to know our bodies and it isn't the end of the world if we go off path every once in a while. ❤
Such great common sense advice! Love it!
I love this video. It’s actually very reassuring a good reminder that if things aren’t going perfectly, you can always get back to it and it’s not the end. All
I’m putting in the work. I agree so much with your philosophy. I’m starting to reintroduce foods after 4 months of elimination diet. It’s amazing to start to understand how MY body works. Thanks for the video.
A fry or two is about the only thing I can safely eat off plan!
I finally gave up steva! So proud of myself!
Great strategy. It makes travelling, going out for a meal, time with family and friends easy, especially on special occasions thank you Neisha
I love your honesty and agree with you, you do what’s good for you. I eat mostly meat but sometimes I mess up but I don’t beat myself up anymore. I like what your saying about the the stop light, I will be doing this. So happy you and Dr. B had a good time and are back. Haters will be haters!!!
Love the way you are real with your eating. You have influenced me in so many ways. Thank you ❤.
(RN and Certified Health Coach, and chicken crackle lover).
We all have to learn what works for us and watching someone work out what works for them is educational and helpful Not to copy but to learn how to manage what we do ourselves.
Thank you, Mrs Berry
You live your life! You do an amazing job sticking to your plan day to day! Love seeing the what I eat vlogs 😊
Thank you!! 😊
Spot on Neisha! Love ya girl ❤
🤗
Thank you for this sharing.❤
Thanks for sharing ❤
Thanks for letting us know what you ate. I was really curious ❤. That happens to me too. I can have some yellow light foods but if I had it every day I would have a lot of inflammation. So back to ketovore
I had a request over the weekend to make my family famous risotto with peas and mushrooms. You know I had to 'taste' it to make sure I wasn't going to kill anyone...LOL! I was happy that I didn't have a reaction after not eating rice or peas for almost a year. I make a darn good risotto ya'll! It's always fun visiting vegetarian family eating carnivore. I come with a cooler full of vacuum sealed grilled chicken, steaks and this trip I had meatloaf too. And then of course a dozen boiled eggs for breakfasts. We've always brought some food but they eat a lot of processed stuff now so we bring full meals for ourselves plus some to share.
Thanks for always being real Neisha. We're all a twitter about folks that have become overly dogmatic within the space. I think there is room for everyone at the table. We all have different bodies and different dietary tolerances. Anyone looking for healing should try strict carnivore to see what is possible but then we all gotta live our lives! Glad you had a great trip - London is fun!
I agree. I started dirty keto 16 mos ago, then clean keto, then ketovore and now 90-95% carnivore.
I believe that if we are going to significantly grow our PHD and carnivore, ketovore community, we have to be much more inclusive and stop putting labels on people’s WOE, and being so inflexible and negative, looking down one a carnivore who drinks coffee or tea or uses spices for example… or occasionally like me has an avocado, some berries or some non starchy veg with my meat or seafood. 😊
@@Papacarnivore15 I could not agree more! I have to laugh because 'dirty carnivore' is adding broccoli....lol!
I picked some Blueberries 🫐 out of my yard This AM & They’re delicious 😋
Always good info … yes it does take time … when I am doing it right I am not hungry and have zero cravings
Thank Neisha for the encouragement to get back on track of foods that are right for your body after being on trip, sometimes it’s hard for me to go back eating what I know is good for my body after a trip , getting back in the swing of things , but when I do get through a day of what’s good for me ,then I’m okay till next trip . This was good encouragement
You got this!
Fab idea. I’ve been doing this woe for 2 years now my stumbling block is sweet things so from now they are my red food. I can tolerate occasional cheese and good quality bread maybe berries. Thanks for the traffic light suggestion ❤
Great to watch this video. I live the ‘me’ diet, I call it the Lainey Lifestyle. I have so many allergies and intolerances, I also use a traffic light system, I’m still working out what things can go under the different colours but so far it is making me feel so much better. Love your videos, thanks for what you do. ❤
Your video makes sense. Lots of people, not on carnivore plans, make decisions on what foods bloat them, upset their stomachs, etc….from listening to this podcast I don’t get the message that you are telling people what to eat. Rather, what works for you. Thanks for sharing. I will follow you because I’m a lot like you and want to be healthy but also, at times can moderate myself.
I'm 2 hours away from Austin, but I did not want to go either... Too much traffic... But it was great meeting y'all in San Antonio this spring...
Ι have been waiting for someone ahead of me on this journey to talk about this! Thank you, Neisha ❤ Thank you for being brave, honest and...you!
And just to add: you talking about this openly actually shows that as a coach you trust that your followers and/or clients are sound adults and that you're trusting their responsibility over their own choices. Shame some people don't get that, but then the right people will ❤😊
You rock
Said things perfectly. I am somewhat like you I know my red foods, yellow foods and green foods and can get right back to plan. It’s just hard when you do it in front of other people and they’re like what are you doing? What are you eating and then they start judging you because you’re eating off your normal plan that you follow.
London is amazing I’m glad you had a fantastic time
Isn’t it amazing how before cleaning up the nutrition, that we didn’t have red light foods? Like milk… I had no clue that drinking milk would make it harder for me to breath…
If people could just get the “you have to do what’s right for you” message, a lot more people would be successful with their nutrition and not offended or triggered by the way someone else eats.
BUT I will add, it takes time, trial and error to figure out what works for their own body. It’s not something that can be figured out quickly. But figuring it out is so worth it.
In just over 5 years heavy meat based keto/low carb/carnivore whatever label, I learned I can have about an inch of a slice of bread from longhorn steak house. And that’s if I feel like having it. If I don’t feel like it, I won’t. No big deal. But no more than that slice or I’ll have some serious abdominal pain.
Thanks for sharing Neisha! I love the traffic light analogy.
Glad y’all had fun and glad you always do you. 🥰
Really refreshing to hear this analogy of eating. I drive myself crazy with food and need it to be simple. I’m a paleo/ Mediterranean/ low carb / gluten free kinda eater The traffic light method would work very nicely for me. Thank you for this
ive had to learn to write how a food made me feel after and was it worth it, did it give me the pleasure i thought it would by eating it and then also how it physically made me feel, so next time i think i want that food i read what i wrote (keep it on my notes in my phone) so I know if I should. I like your idea of traffic light. I'm gonna go through and mark mine as red, yellow and green! Thanks Neisha. I'm on a long journey ahead but feel encouraged.
I think it’s great about ketovore, carnivore, ketogenic diet is that once your body heals and you’ve been eating this way for years, you can have a little bit of something and feel fine afterwards. I noticed that if I just have a little something that would’ve made me feel tired and sick, six years ago when I started this journey, I don’t have that issue now so I’m very happy. I love this. I don’t consider a diet, it’s my lifestyle and I will always eat this way and I’m so happy and delighted to have stumbled onto this path.
You’re amazing to follow you’re refreshing and true ❤
Thanks for the video!
❤ I LOVE YOU NEISHA ❤ KEEP BEING THE BEAUTIFUL AUTHENTIC YOU THAT YOU ARE ❤
I do the same thing now Nisha. I started Keto in 2017 gave up sugar cold turkey...still can not eat sugar but I can have sweetners sometimes, finding I really don't like sweets that much anymore (and i was a sugar addict)....However I do have potatoes sometimes and home made flour tortillas once in a while....took me a long time to get to this point...I no longer stress over food and only eat the foods that I feel good eating...(not focused on weight loss anymore, only health) I AM FREE!
By the way I have followed you and Ken for years love all your content!
I thought this was a great video! I think sometimes people forget that the carnivore diet is an elimination diet, not a forever-for-the-rest-of-your-life-diet. My goal is one day to be able to add more variety, not stick to a particular diet- but to be healthy, and have a healed gut...and that may or may not fit into a specific carnivore box. Anyways, I like your individualized approach to carnivore. That is true food freedom in my mind.
❤good vlog! Thanks 😊 👍
I loved your sharing your beautiful trip, you and the hubs are a beautiful couple, inside and out ❤ PS carnivore chips….STOP they lasted 5 minutes with the hubs and I❤
Great advice. ❤
Hi Neisha welcome back. Your trip looked wonderful. I would love to know what restaurants you went to in England could you post. I also wanted to know where you buy your clothes.? I have the same taste as you thank you 🙏
Neisha, I love how real you are. People don't truly understand the Proper Human Diet is more than just eating meat. It can look different for some people. I myself am mainly meat heavy based, but I can tolerate some fruit (berries or bananas for example) and some dairy as well. I do eat a rare veggie, but very rarely. I explain to people that I can't just "eat whatever whenever I want". I have a corn allergy and reaction is thankfully not hospitalizing, but I am so sick (like flu) for days afterwards. So I am very controlling of my diet and it's hard because I also want to live somewhat of a life too. But I lean more on the cautious side than not. I can't have processed food. I have to read every label. I can't just go to a drive thru and grab something as there is typically corn in all of that. I can't just eat this slab of meat, because it's meat. It may have been cooked in an oil that has corn in it. I have "safe" places I can eat out, but most of the time I don't. If I travel I have to explain my allergy to the waiter and tell him to just cook the steak with salt, no other seasoning or oils as it will make me sick. It's frustrating when people don't understand that, but it's my weird quirk. I use the Fig App when looking at new foods, so I can find out what's a "no-no" or "sort of-no" food. It's helped a great deal at the grocery store.
