Why did your department go with a double doughnut then a flat load? What advantage does load have over a side by side flat load? 50 feet of hose on each side that is flat loaded?

Hi Lee - Of course, there are 10 ways to do everything in the fire service and there aren't necessarily right and wrongs ways, just preferences. We used to use a flat load, but this seems to roll out a lot better for us, with less instances of the hose get hung up. Also the entire 100' hose line is out after walking 50' from the truck. Play with it, i think you will like it. Good Luck!
