I should have made an annotation to the video for the thumbnail used for this one was not from my iPhone's camera. It was borrowed from the website connected to Yale smart locks, www.gokeyless.com, anyway, I simply wanted to be honest. When I have more time I may decide to replace the thumbnail of something of my own creation. Normally, I am able to capture a great thumbnail during the production time of making a video or snag a screenshot from the video footage. Nope! That did not happen with this Yale Lock project, and yes, it was a project. From start to finish this video took over 11 hours. I do not know if that is good or bad. I wanted to reshoot some scenes, alas, that would require more time from another family and take time away from their kids and it would not be feasible. I hope you enjoyed the video and if you have any household gadgets you want to learn about, please let me know. If you don't want to comment publically you can find me on Instagram or Facebook (links are in the description and on my RUclips about page. And yes, THANK you for your support.
On behalf of the Duracell organization, a buy of Yale Lock products, and also an owner of many, many, many, many Energizer Bunny Batteries over the past four decades, my sincere condolences for having offended your Bunny. That was not the intention of this video or anyone associated with the making, editing, or product of this gadget review.
Did this come with a second strike plate to replace the plate where the lock makes contact and locks? If so, did you install that too? I didn’t see it in your video.
I can ask the owner and then I'll let you know. My friend installed a second Yale Smart lock and there will be a follow-up video about Yale smart locks coming in October.
Just found a one that has your key 🔑 override... www.acehardware.com/departments/hardware/door-knobs-and-locks/electronic-entry-door-locks/5427117?store=16589&gclid=CjwKCAiAhbeCBhBcEiwAkv2cY2AnJKgQWdE2S782letC1ZkSQLg9EwXs-w_ooQzQ5SnWzujjgY-4ORoCVpIQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
I felt the same way, but haven't had any problems with this lock over the years. I also have other ways to get into the house so I'm not as worried about the lock "failing" or the batteries dying.
What is not good? Did you dislike my review or did you purchase a Yale Lock and you hate/dislike the smartlock? I am still friends with Steffano and their Yale Smart Lock is still functioning nicely months later. I'll be posting a follow-up video soon...

Yes, I need a smart-lock on my door like the one in this video! Do the Yale locks ever go on sale?
Sometimes you can get a deal either with a discount or sometimes they bundle it. I think I bought this one at Home Depot because it was on sale.
Thank you 😀
How exactly did you change your WiFi to 2.4 and not 5. I’m having a issue getting my nest connect to connect to WiFi
There should be an option within the admin login for your router. What brand of WiFi router do you have?
@@PeterHerget Netgear it’s a nighthawk
Okay, let me do some research for you and I'll post another comment later this week.
@@PeterHerget ok!! Thank you so much 🤗🤗
Did you find out about Wi-Fi 2.4 to 5.0?
Don’t know how I feel about no key override

Great feedback - thank you Stephen 👍🏻
Could you imagine having a wired lock 😂
Yeah, that would be troublesome!
is it reversible?
Are you asking if the lock itself can be turned inside out?
Not good
