I have to say that I plan to watch this video again and again. I'm always trying to improve my awareness in pursuit of capturing interesting composition. This video not only tells you what to look for, but explains the reasons behind the science of desirable/undesirable qualities of composition.
-Update. After watching this video, I have had an opportunity to go out and apply what I have learned. I feel that I have a greater ability to define my subject both in camera and in post production. I now have greater confidence in my photography. In addition when I see something that I have shot that is not quite right, I can now identify my mistakes with less effort and understand what adjustments that I need to perform. I watch a lot of video tutorials for photography, drawing and painting, this video has to be at the top of my list of recommendations. I am compelled to express my deep gratitude to Christian Tudor for producing this video and sharing his precious knowledge on RUclips.

thank you for your feedback. Not sure I understand how you want me to elaborate more than I have already done in the video. the main value of a photograph is to tell a story. Composition has the tools to support this. Every composition has a meaning as I have already mentioned and this is how you can choose to tell the story.
How I started as a photographer? I have done courses in regards to visual arts earlier in life and combined my knowledge and experience in this video

This guy is a real "PRO" He understands HUMANS. Which is very complex. He explains rules and law that we humans define "Beauty" using the human face/ Taking thinks that are familiar he helps you apply to your photography.

My goodness. This is the the the best article I seen on composition.
We know most of the things earlier like Golden ratio, Fibonacci and also research to define what is beautiful. But the way you put all these to define beauty and made a relations to define we already know is simply the best.
Your article is not just useful for photography but also for architecture.
You put all the things in detail and covered all the things required.
    Hats off.

Wonderful tutorial. I've been watching a few of your videos tonight, and have found them very clear and invaluable. I've had a finepix S8650 bridge, for a few weeks and until now, have just been on auto mode and snapping randomly. Watching this I understand why some of my better images draw attention. This really is the best tutorial on composition I've seen (and I've spent the last 4 weeks scrolling endless webpages) Will be heading out tomorrow morning with my son to put into practice what I've learned tonight. Thank you, have subscribed! xxxx

Excellent video - I love watching this before going out to take pictures. Videos like this help remind us of the rules and how to compose a good image. Thinking of these rules - even if it means putting the camera down for a little while prior to actually taking the picture - can mean the difference between getting or not getting the shot. The over abundance of chaotic photos (facebook, flickr, etc.) makes knowing these rules, before posting one's work, even more important.
I've been shooting for almost a year now with my D7000. Prior to even buying a DSLR I made sure I learned these rules and would suggest this video to anyone interested in photography. Sadly, bird photography (which I love) sometimes frustrates me because birds are difficult to frame/compose, They move out of an area quickly and/or land in areas that are visually unappealing. Even with post processing sometimes I just cannot compose a bird well based on where it landed. Luckily my cat isn't as finicky as birds!
P/S: This video appeals to me because I am a sociologist who works in the field of research/statistics. I love these meta-thinking discussions on how we unconsciously process information into feelings.Great information!

Greetings from Maldives Christian, Thank you very much, I found your tutorials very easy to understand, and much worthy than thousand of documents and tutorials I've gone through, Just to understand the basic photography because of lack of interest in Bird and wildlife photography, However my Nikon D5000 is broken as I mistakenly drop it to sea, I have ordered a new one through ebay. So hopefully I shall get it soon, as soon as I start following your exercises, I will be sending you pictures. Hopefully I wish I can sponsor a short course or workshop and invite you to Maldives to teach. Your Just so kind to share your knowledge, only few people have that gut. Again Thank you so much and you can't even imagine how much your tutorial has helped.

Dear Christian(i think thats your name:)Thank you for excellent explanation.I think in this video you share the most important things a photographer or hobbyist must know/learn before jumping into different camera reviews or technical stuff of photography.to know how to compose is far more importand than the camera, its sad that this kind of videos are often underestimated and get far less views than a random, useless camera versus or heads up
