Disagree cause the fun factor is here. Crazy how peoples have that high expectations considering the fact that way to many games have a bad start. They also are mentioning compensations aleredy.
After the demo for Solar Crown came out, I figured I would hold off on buying the game for a while. But after seeing the performance issues, bugs, and a car list that hardly has character, I will just wait until CarXStreet gets a console port.
Yea that demo was really bad performance wise. Its not worth the asking price at all.

Playing on Xbox series X. Enjoying it so far. I am not concerned about the graphics, as it's set on xbox and not much I can do to change it. However, gameplay is pretty solid, lots of depth to the tuning and racing, tires matter depending on road surface and conditions, ai is competive and it's very rewarding to beat them when you nail the right setup (I am.playing as single player as I don't have or want Xbox live, so my experience and expectations differ from others). To each thier own, and sorry others are not enjoying it, but I am.

Apparently people were having this issue with the beta as well. There's posts about it on the Steam page. I can't find a fix for it. And the thing is that for the Beta the game ran fine for me but now the full game is out and it's not running properly
@@DUBSmbhey i don’t know if it will work 100% but if you go to your setting, in apps, find the game go to options and choose « high performance », it could fix it because by the looks of it, it seems like you’re using your CPU’s iGPU not your GPU
If that doesn’t work just turn down the settings that use a lot of cpu
As a long time TDU aficianado I'm enjoying the game on my Series S so far. Graphics can look awesome then completely awfull but I appreciate the gameplay, the sound design, the radios, the setting and especially the ambiance. Late night cruising in the mountains is a mood, same goes for the city.
I can't excuse them for servers and performance issues but this game has a "soul", what I can't say about many current games.

Exactly -1-2% is when you're not doing anything just rendering the desktop etc. Game clearly have performace issues, but it's not using just 1% of the GPU
IDK if either of you are part of my Discord server but I put a vid up there now as proof. Also tried it with other games to see the difference such as CarX Street which uses 80% and COD. Along side MSI afterburner to look at the clock speeds. So yea the game is just not working on my system for whatever reason
If MSI Aftwrburner also shows same trend there is probably a huge problem with the game, wich as far as ive seen seem very probable then

idk how yall are not getting 60fps i have a 4060ti and i get a constant 60fps only times it dips is when im near the hotel but then again it only last like 2 seconds i have everything on high settings at 1440p still get a good 60

27:30 I would assume that the whole map and stuff is streamed through their servers. So your system doesnt matter. Their servers are at fault. I could be wrong though.
I started out with the original TDU, loved it, used the ferrari 288 gto to drift around the map on my g25 wheel, tried tdu2 on console, cars wouldn't even reliably drive in a straight line, no stick drift because it only happened in that game, I think I'm gonna pass on this game, I was excited when they announced it but it just has too many problems, and am currently enjoying carx street

If you see low GPU usage and high CPU usage, it means that the game has not been optimized. This is something that is usually done well before the game is released to the public. This is one of the things that development kits are for. The fact that they have released this game without doing that first is almost unbelievable.
The big thing for me is not necessarily the average fps but the consistency. Like 45 FPS but with .1% lows of like 40-43 feels wayyyyy better than 120 with microstutters down to 30 and below. But this game looks so bad to me because the fps is low and the microstutters are bad enough to cut through yt compression. Also the game looks apocalyptic with the lack of traffic or anything
Kinda quick addition, I think the game is handling the reflections and shadows on the cpu which means that as you turn up settings, you suffer. It kinda reminds me of Minecraft shaders

There are several issues with the game but the primary cause of most of the issues stems from the locked beta testing, by locked im refering to the fact you had to preordr the game in order to access the beta's, another issue looks like they are using first generation dlss/fsr tech and they haven't bothered with optimising the game at all, playing on my rog ally on the lowest settings still uses almost 8gb vram which is crazy, most of the graphics options dont drastically change the vram but a few drastically increase it, im sensing the developers have ignored optimising the base game to focus their time on the ibiza expansion, im yet to test it on my main pc te see how much difference forcing afmf does
I can go rn and play the off-road one on my ps2 and it would be 1000Xs better

6900xt and 5950x and I barely squeeze out a steady 4k 60fps at medium settings using fsr quality settings... On forza horizon 5, I can max out nearly every setting and no fsr and still get 4k60. Poor optimization here
put reflex low latency on ON only not with + boost, only turn on + boost if you have an weaker cpu

If they did that people probably would have been even more annoyed for a delay lol. Plus other bigger games are likely releasing in a years time, which would steal their spotlight. If they waited any longer they'd have needed to delay it for two years, maybe longer just to release appropriately - of course, what happened instead isn't much better at all.
Do turn on Nvidia reflex to On + boost. Helps a good bit with latency

4WD cars are meta in this game, if you compete with RWD especially on rain, you have no chance of winning. FWD cars are awful too, try the abarth, the handling is so trash, I think it's the worst handling car. And for the performance side, with a 4090, in max graphics, with frame generation and on 1440p, I get like 120fps. It's insane that with that beast of a graphic card I don't get this in native resolution at least. The AI is broken too on the hardest difficulty, when you have the same car and same power level, they're just faster than you.
I have the lowest setting and it still struggling to run on 3060

I am disappointed. I was waiting for so long for this game. I hope they will fix this soon‚ as I want to play‚ but I am not willing to play a game like this on 30 - 40 FPS. It has to do at least 60 FPS for me to be playable. This is the reason why I have never finished NFS Rivals (another game that I was so hyped about).

Exactly on point, plus I don't think anyone noticed that the game doesn't have baked-in lighting, only full-screen global illumination, unfortunately everything doesn't fit together because of the reflections on the car and poor quality shadows, which will probably be fixed, as for global illumination, Nier Automata also uses global illumination to imitate ambient lighting, and many people also had problems with running the game on maximum detail, where the graphic level wasn't at the highest level anyway, in the latest Forza Motorsport they gave up on global illumination (it was active on the trailers) because it would be even worse than on the day of premiere, Forza Motorsport, Horizon have baked-in lighting, that's why they work much better, just for information ;)
