I like seeing alternative ways to do things. It’s good to have options. Others drop a pre-measured tube over and just trim with a knife. I see benefits of both methods 👍😎
I use a mini lathe, but then I do 1000s of shells for commercial starter blanks ( 12ga-30 and 60mm) and Film Blanks (12ga 65 mm Roll crimp) The Tube cutter gets a bit noisome after about 20 shells. But Horses for courses... Good Video. DocAV AVBFilmGuns Australia.

This is a good one I'm going to try this.
Simplest, best I've seen so far.
Wish I still had my other Lyman easy shotshell trimmer! I'd send it too you!

your champ steve. nice tool the good thing is, its an original idea
That'll work in a pinch. You can make a nice trimmer in twenty minutes with wood, a hinge, a knife blade and a 13/16 drill bit.
Great video, thanks for sharing.
Wise man!
Do you use these are 3-inch shells or two or three quarter
Why cut all the way through the tubing? Can you cut only the shell and reuse the tubing for another shell?
You don’t cut through the copper tubing as the video shows.
Can you use these as dummy rounds ?
