Great Video.... 👍
Thank you! Cheers! :)
I have an Anchor Hocking 1 qt melamine microwave casserole that is perfect for ramen noodles. I've always wished that it had a lid but it doesn't. It does have side grips that stay cool so I love it and have used it since the 70's. I probably use that thing every day. This one looks good and I'm sure it's healthier than any plastic dish to use.
Are you familiar with some of the warnings about heating food in melamine? I've heard it's safe to eat out of, but not for heating food in. True? Not? Not preaching, just maybe check into it? D'Ohhh!!!
Very cool, I always worry a little about microwaving in plastic even though all the research I've done says it's safe.
I know! And worrying can make us sick also! Corning though, makes some great microwave pieces for sure!
Neat little dish. I recently purchased a Corning Ware MW-9-B browner dish which I have not tried out yet. I’m looking forward to testing it out soon.
Cool! I have yet to try any of the browning pieces. They do seem like fun to play with. On my list-o-things! :)
Corningware is awesome. Have you ever tried Michael Angelo's frozen dinners? Their eggplant and lasagna are the best frozen dinners on the market. Please give them a try you won't regret it.
I agree about Michael Angelo's and very much like their Lasagna and Eggplant. Eggplant is my favorite. They just didn't look like they would fit the CW but maybe I'm wrong. I'm over-do for some Eggplant so we'll see. And apparently there are larger versions of this MC-1.
Very nice dish
Very nice dish! Bears repeating :)
Any more dishes like that kicking around ?
Let me know
kicking around? ebay, ebay, ebay :)
Can you post a video of cooking boneless chicken thighs in your Visions skillet?
Ya know, I don't think I have cooked boneless chicken thighs here yet. But sounds like a plan!
I have a bigger corningware browning dish with no lid, can I still use it in my microwave?
As long as it says microwave, the lid won't matter except for splatter :)
Looks like it would make a good loaf pan as well.
Loaf of what though :) I think there are tons-O-possibilities with this one. P.S. I don't think I'll be doing any more recipes from that microwave booklet. Maybe, but idk, maybe not, idk, maybe... idk...
@@xetaprime Your choice! Bread or meat. Even cake.
Hahaha! Are the recipes weird or something?
I think the Manhattan clam chowder was the most interesting. I was looking at the bbq chicken and potatoes but it was just bbq sauce, nuke, flip, bbq sauce. Potatoes just butter and onion. Truth is the rest weren't very interesting.
@@xetaprime Just watched the Manhattan clam chowder one yesterday. It was definitely interesting. Despite being born and raised in NYC, the New England clam chowder is more appetizing to me.
Hopefully you'll find more vintage recipes that are interesting to cook with, or even modern stuff. I've been looking at "sizzling" recipes to go with my Visions casserettes.
It’s a shame you ripped the original box.
True. But, I still have it :)
