He has, on more than occasion, blamed his loss at master rank down to him still learning the character. That alone says all you need to know about master rank's barrier to entry.
If sf6 rank system is like tekken, I bet he can't keep his master rank for long. Remember his yoshi reached first purple rank, then was demoted to red rank very quick because he was lucky to fight weaker opponents. He is looking for weaker opponents to beat and avoids better players. He and LTG did the same thing in fighting games.
Legend rank requires him to both earn and maintain a MR of at least 1900. Every time he's jumped into ranked with his Master level characters he's always struggled to just to maintain the default 1500 MR he starts with when entering Master rank.

@@miked237 The problem with that is that everyone who actually cared about Phil is out of the area (his parents) or abandoned him (John Rambo, loyal fans) All Phil has left is the wife, the mentally challenged whales (enablers) and the trolls. There is no way an intervention could be even feasible.
The trolls would simply make the situation worse, the enablers would tell Phil that nothing is wrong and Phils parents would give into Phil's whims.

We said to play ken or cammy to prove that their neutral is braindead and they get to just do whatever they want and win. Because we know that Phil would have all the same complaints if he played those characters. It was never about how well he would do with them (not that he IS doing well with bison anyway).
If he actually made it to legend rank I would be impressed and I think a lot of people would admit he is good. The thing is, that won't happen. He's patting himself on the back for getting to 1560 on a new OP character in master. Master rank means nothing in this game, it's not impressive at all. That's like getting gold in league of legends and saying you're a competitive player. Everyone gets to master so not only is it easy you are also fighting against a bunch of other mediocre players which makes it even easier.
Detractors just laugh at how pathetically Phil clings on to his past and desperately needs validation that he's actually not bad at games.

59% is ok, but depends on who you fight and what character they use. Capcom is making it so that most characters have counter picks rather than making everyone balanced. Forces people to learn more than character for tournaments
Imagine you played a game and anytime you got beat you blocked that player to never play again. If you find someone you can beat you'll play them all day long.

Here is why people like to see Phil fail:
1: When he wins, it’s skill.
2: When he loses, it’s cause his inputs dropped, the net code magically changed once he hit Master, connections are bad, connections are too good, the other player is a pattern scrub, he lost to himself, he was not outplayed , nothing he could do, still nothing he could do, Cammy, the game sucks online, mash jab, top tier, guessing, wake up level 3 super, and his moves wouldn’t come out. Just to name a few.

As far as inputs, I'm positive if he displayed his inputs it would show he did a quarter circle forward motion, then immediately had to block, then tried to do the quarter circle forward move and the first motion was buffered in already "thus" giving Phil the super instead of the special. Phil should know this stuff by now and it has nothing to do with the net code.

5:15 no phil, you can't just punish with w/e the hell button you want. you should already know which moves you have that will be able to punish blocked or whiffed moves at different ranges. if you whiff, that's on you. and give it some time, bison is a great character, but people will learn how to deal with him and you're gonna cry that everyone was labbing non stop and now you can't play anymore.
