    Hello sir, I want to know the difference between transposition and recombination because both the terms have got the same mechanism ie, exchange of genetic material between or within the same chromosome..also in recombinant DNA technology a piece of DNA is cut say for example antibiotic resistant Gene and transferred in to bacterial chromosome and hence called recombinant DNA but this again can be said as transposition DNA

      the recombinant part is made..that's the property of transposable elements that makes it suitable for genetic engineering...how do you think we can add genes...
