Met Chris and Bomac in a hotel lobby the day before his rematch with Liam Smith. Very friendly, polite, engaging guy who was more than happy to stop and have a chat. He gets far too much negative press.
Yeah ive met Chris Jr in Brighton and a nicer feller would be hard to find.
People forget that Geoerge Groves was an elite boxer and a World Champion and he did state in the press conference that there are "levels to this game". Callum Smith got his whole reputation from beating George when he was forced into fighting the super series final when his dislocated shoulder was nowhere near properly rehabbed.

After Micheal Watson, Eubank was never the same. He didn’t want too permanently cripple or kill his opponents and you could see that after the Watson win he’d rather win fights on points rather than aiming for a KO

Cmon, i enjoyed Eubank Snr, but he had the WBO title which wasnt recignised at the time, it was having the IBO title nowadays. He fought an awful lot of 2nd and 3rd rate fighters.
Very true. WBO never really became a top tier belt until around 2000 well after Chris Sr retired...WBO at the time was a Barry Hearn thing (aka. British "World Champions" as Tyson Fury would say). Chris Sr did avoid the top Americans (Toney, Jones, Nunn) but despite thinking he'll have lost against them all he would have made a decent account of himself. Chris was all about business and yes while he fought a lot of 2nd/3rd rate fighters and ex champions well past their primes (Lindell Holmes etc.) and bringing up smaller guys from lesser weights (e.g. Gary Stretch brought up from Light middle to fight at middle) but he beat some tough guys too - Benn, Watson, Rocchigiani, Wharton.
Simply the best!!!! 🎵

Sorry, Its time to pay attention to more active boxers and honestly think his best was years ago. Not knocking only saying that he is good, just not as good as thinks.
Didn’t like Eubank at his height but, grew to like him when he fought Calzaghe, showed real spirit to finish that fight after a first round knock down. Chris Jnr is brilliant, very intelligent, articulate and great fighter. Started too slow against Bottle Job Billy but if the fight had gone one more round Billy would have lost. That’s why he never fought him again despite promising that he would.

They're all warriors. Nick was domestic level and came up short against Chris...brave, coming forward but no head movement. He sparred GGG when GGG was still in his pajamas and got ahead of himself. He was never world level but thankfully he's on the mend now and doing well.

Ive loved and hated JR. But ive always watched. And he delivers entertainment before, during and after the fights. He does need to be active now though without any excuses.
Eubank needs the following fights in the order:
1. Vs Lara for WBA title
2. Vs Sheeraz if Sheeraz beat Adames for the world title
3. IF he Beats the two above then Canelo fight would bigger
4.Retire

Chris Eubank Jr’s is only relevant or popular because of his father. Not only that, but he's had a massive advantage when it comes to training; unlike other boxers early in their careers who had to fund themselves, Chris had a daddy to pay for everything, get him connected with a promoter, and he still hasn't won a world title whilst acting like he's the best thing since sliced bread. Like Naseem Hamed said a while ago, he needs to pack it in and retire.

The truth is, Chris Eubank Jr has made a good living and earned millions off his dads name. He has nowhere near the talent of his dad and will never be a world champion.
Chris Sr, love him or not, was as hard as nails. Good boxer and very very tough. A worthy world champion. However, he never fought James Toney or Roy Jones who were in his era. A prime Roy Jones was a totally different class.
Chris Eubank Sr beat Gary Stretch. Stretch appeared in "Dead Man's Shoes" a classic film.
