Seriously bro. Goosebumps through the entire video. They're so fucking talented and have such a unique sound. On top of that, they're damn good people and really appreciate their fans.
They've tried tying one arm with rubber bands to makes "things fair", but it established an increase in the tilt and rotation of the Earth so the Government created and edict the "y'all just amazing so carry on"..... dig
True story: In 1999 at the Warped Tour, Fletcher from Pennywise threatened the management with violence if they didn't let these guys play so they got to play a short 5 song set.
A friend of mine gave me a blank cd with the word cigar written in sharpie. He said it’s some band from San Jose (which I guess was false)and all their songs are fast. I listened to it everyday for years until I eventually lost the CD. never met another person who knew what I was talking about until just now. This was a faceless band in my head
I saw these guys at the tiniest venue you can ever imagine (Chain Reaction in Anaheim), the band sat in the parking lot and spoke to us for what felt like hours. A while later someone from my high school convinced them (probably by lying) to literally come play a backyard party. They seemed so disappointed to be there. Really nice guys.
I played guitar in hardcore/punk bands in the late 90s/early 2000s. I’ve been listening to punk, ska, and hardcore and going to shows since the mid 90s. How in the hell have I never heard of these guys until today? They’re the best!
My story is almost exactly the same as yours! Played in a progressive punk band, toured a bit around the same time and never heard of these guys…..They threw in the towel after putting out their first album in 1996, touring in a dirty van, playing shitty bars, making no money, and praying that 10 people would show up to their shows. After while doing that they said fuck it only to reunite when they were in their mid to late 40s a couple years ago and fucking nailed it this time! Now I have to call my band bros and throw the band back together, lol.
I discovered them maybe 8 or so years ago by accident and I've been listening to all this music starting in 87' to current. I played in two pop punk bands in the mid 90's here in Texas.
The hallmark of 90s punk - super tight stopping on a dime into light speed. I don't think it's possible to know how good this drummer is... that right hand on the hats and ride! You're supposed to cheat at these speeds! It's like he has technique or something... which is cheating ;) They all rule though. Awesome bass playing. The singer's voice, as is usual, has only gotten better with age.
My thoughts exactly. There hasn't been a tighter punk bank with a better drummer since Derrick Plourde backed Lagwagon. These guys have it all. Speed is Relative is one of the best punk albums from start to finish ever recorded.
goddammit...how am I JUST hearing about these guys now? This makes me angry beyond belief. But it also makes me happy because if i heard about them when they came out, i woulda been PISSED that it took over 20 years for a second album. hopefully they all get a creative hair up their asses and churn out more shit like this. this is amazing.
Man, between these Bridge city sessions, KEXP, tiny desk concerts - I have found soooo many awesome bands in the last 3/4 years, music is not dead, I am so happy :)
These guys and propagandhi might be the two best bands on the planet and they make other bands seem very not talented. Writing these kinds of songs is difficult, recording them is hard. Pulling this shit off flawlessly live as a 3 piece is on another level 👏👏👏
Hate to be a “hater” on Propagandhi, especially because I’m vegan and used to enjoy listening to them, but their live show is pretty boring. Unfortunately, if a band isn’t good live, I tend to lose interest.
@@andrewciervo6631propagandhi is literally the best sounding live band I've ever seen. So on point and tight. Stage performance? Not too great, other than Sulynn and Todd, because they don't have to sing so they can get a little crazy and show some energy. I mean, try playing those songs and singing lol.
I first listened to these guys in 2002 and still today they never grow old. I hope they come to Australia one day ….. nothing beats listening to these guys cranked up when you’re riding a ride on lawnmower cutting the grass lol.

You've got all your friends
And convinced them again
The mess that you made
Wasn't yours
Remorse feeling scarce
'Cause you're claiming not fair
Ever closing doors
Constantly try
To avoid and deny
Will never be made to confess
Your logic's a lie
And you know it's not mine
Knowing you obsess
On and on
With nowhere left to go
Should've walked away
You burned me once again
I should've known
How we soon forget
The same it goes
Its always, it's always
The classic you
Skilled at the game
But it's always the same
And they all believe what they see
The slight of the hand
You're revealing your plan
Never to agree
A tremor so slight
And it doesn't feel right
Off of the slate, wipe it clean
And the truth has escaped
And it shows on your face
Once again, it seems
On and on
With nowhere left to go
Should've walked away
You burned me once again
I should've known
How we soon forget
The same it goes
Its always, it's always
The classic you
The painted canvas drying
A brush with honesty
Do you do this
Cause you're lonely?
Or just a trick
Because you know me
Trying
The wash we made to make those colors bleed
From the painted picture showing
Never think of any others' needs
You hold it as your trophy
From a shallow victory now
Hold it high so they can see
How we soon forget
The same it goes
Its always, it's always
The classic you
You're the only one looking out for you
Everyone else is looking for second chances
After all the things that you go through
They want to pawn off all their problems
They can't solve on you
I don't want to feel the weight of the world
There's too much pressure but there's time
To find a better way to speak my mind
Than complaining and whining
It's your pressure you're defining
Can't rely on all those people
To do the same for you
Independence makes you strong
A willingness to carry on,
But you don't even try
Try and try to get things right
But it's a cause that's been lost from the start
I don't want to feel the weight of the world
I won't know what to think
When the quicksand around us
Sinks everything that's been standing in our way
I don't know if we'll succeed
In satisfying everyone's needs
'Cause clearly there's not enough hours in the day
Just to wake up
No longer enough to tackle
Every day so I won't
You've got it rough
And all you can do is sit around
And complain well don't
I don't want to feel the weight of the world
This sounds SO good! Man these guys are criminally underrated.
