Ghirahim does seem to have a power similar to Malice, when seeing the bosses he brings to life. But I agree, it wouldn't suit him to go on such a rampage, i'd imagine him better helping and manipulating ambitious characters to access dark powers over the course of time to keep on the work of his master.
Actually, it could still be ghirahim, but instead of him on his own, it is part of his power and merely a tool, which would explain the intelligence behind the malice.
Good point, however I feel like in a weird way Ghirahim wouldn't mind, being immortal (I assume), and once he finally materialized in humanoid form again he would lick his lips at the boy in the green tunic and say some creepy stuff like, "I have been watching you for so long now...I have seen all of you..."
I would argue Ghirahim's bitter hatred of the Hero (which he makes no qualms about being made known during his and Link's last battle in particular) was passed on as part of Ganon(dorf)'s personality. Think about it, Demise, for all his violent tendencies and desire to put the world under his foot, actually gives Link a fair fight without employing underhanded or shameful tactics ( _during_ the battle), and even respects him to the point of actually allowing him a few moments to truly consider his decision to face him. Ganon(dorf) exhibits no such self-righteousness with those that get the way of his goals.
@@Vanya-fc3qo i mean it when it loses all of its sealing power in wind waker its blade was stated as “Its edges are Dull” and failed to even leave Ganondorf with a mark at all. Why im stating this is because depending on how you look at a dull blade you could perceive it as Broken due to it needing to be fixed. I dont personally think entirely like that, but generally, if something needs to be fixed it can be considered broken. Also stupid haha joke here: Hyrule warriors’ version of the Master Sword is broken. Strongest weapon in the game at 900 power and getting extra added damage boosts and phenomenal range at full health. Therefore it is broken just not... broken broken.
If Ghirahim is still around, then I think he's been manipulating things in a subtle matter. For example, he might have disguised himself as a prophet and convinced the royal family to dig up the ancient Sheikah Tech.
@@mmyr8ado.360 well it was never confirmed that Astor was the prophet who told the royal family about the Sheikah tech. Theorist mostly spoke that into existence without it ever being confirmed.
That would be cool. And if that were to happen it could explain how some of the sheikah turned into the yiga tribe, he could have infiltrated them somehow
Something to keep in mind : the Master Sword charges by being raised to the _sky_ and gains a glow. The antithesis could, hypothetically, be charged when stabbed _downwards,_ right? That would explain why Demise purposefully stabs his sword into the ground with the last of his strength. We’ve never seen Demise’s sword charged up, since in the fight, it gets struck by lightning to gain power.
That would probably only work if we hadn't seen Demise's sword get struck by lightning and powered up (charged) by raising it to the sky, just like the Goddess Sword/Master Sword powers up when Link raises it to the sky
To me, it seemed like Demise was surprised by the sword disappearing. The sword disappears, then he looks at his hand and is like, "Huh? Where did it go?"
Not really when the sword disappear and Demise look at his hand he doesnt seem angry or confuse more like to see if the sword have return to the surface yet
@@gamerwithsandwhich2160 >"Not really" Don't be so sure about that statement, buddy... This entire thing is very much open to interpretation since there is no definitive answer confirmed by either the devs or ingame, don't assume your headcanon as canon. You could both be right or wrong equally.
I think so. I think he raised the sword to attack but couldn’t keep it aloft and fell forward stabbing it into the ground where it disappeared, to his shock.
@@daveyg34 I agree. Ghirahim is shown taking many initiatives when his master's not around, and, feeling his imminent death, decided to carry on this plan on his own. Demise, at first confused by Ghirahim's disappearance, probably got it and then laughed and "explained" the curse of the Demon Tribe.
@@SytRReD I suspect the sword was destroyed by the battle rather than disappearing. I would've assumed that Ghirahim (although having some autonomy), is a complete subordinate to Demise. Interesting to think he may have escaped, abandoning his master.
I think it's more likely Ghirahim ran away. Demise looks at his hand in a surprised manner, even examining his opened hand as if he were not expecting it. Perhaps he thought he was betrayed, or just confused.
Perhaps Ghirahim flew the coop, but in parting, told Demise how his power would continue to manifest in this curse, explaining why Demise goes from confusion to laughter a moment later.
The way I always thought, was that only the most powerful could wield Ghirahim. Since Demise was defeated he no longer was able to wield Ghirahim, but he was too egotistical to just turn himself over to Link
One more bit of proof that Ghirahim wouldn't vanish if Demise did, is that *SPOILERS AHEAD*: When Link wishes for the eradication of Demise, Ghirahim still shows up and is able to travel back and revive him. If Ghirahim's lifeforce was bound to Demise, he would've ceased to exist, at least in that time period.
Something else to think about that just popped in my head; The ghirahim that Demise uses as a sword in that battle is the one from the future timeline. The ghirahim from the timeline where link fought demise is still out there..... independent to whatever happened to the ghirahim we've been following the whole game.
He’s just the Sword of Demise(funny enough thats the only name we’ve heard that sword called, alonside Fi’s only pronunciation ever stated in any game with zelda characters) The catch? Simple. Spinoff game with canon trivia in the loading screens. And ganondorf weilding a blade that’s identical in shape, but redesigned for that game, and they gave him a second sword.
@@SoaringxDragon I actually dont know how to feel about that theory. Maladus and bellum are NOT reincarnated demise/ganondorf. Wind waker breaks the curse. The phantom sword and lokomo sword could actually fall into the “Multiple master swords” but not actual complete copies of the master sword as the blade went down when Hyrule was truly sunk by King Daphnes’ wish to end the cycle and have them both drown with it.
It’s a super interesting theory! The biggest hole I can poke in it is that Ghirihim is WAAAAYYY too extra to have been influencing everything during the whole of the timeline… and NOT show up to tell us all about himself. Maybe the loss of his humanoid form is a side-effect of Demise’s defeat?
The problem with ghirahim being malice is that it already existed during SS, there was a whole pool of it already resurrecting monsters in the ancient cistern. And as for being the curse itself, i dont know about that. Demise seemed to look surprised at the sword vanishing, like he wasnt expecting it. Then i ask what would ghirahim do to create this curse, somehow bio engineer ganondorf as a being who looks an awful lot like his master? One possible theory i like to lean towards is him somehow becoming dark link. I mean he's literally the dark reflection of fi and the master sword, and dark link also wields a dark master sword. Hard to say though if he's a dark version of link as if to mock him or in the future ganondorf as demises reincarnation managed to pull ghirahim's essence back and turned him into dark link
This is a good theory. I personally lean toward him being majora, but perhaps ganondorf found remnants of a demon lord with sword skills to rival link, but no personality to create. Therefore, he made it slowly copy and reverse link’s personality
If the death of Demise meant the death of Girahim then he never would've been able to take Zelda back to the past and free Demise, as Demise is dead at the time of him taking Zelda, so he's gotta be out there somewhere
At the end of the fight, Ghirahim told Demise that the batteries in his Wii Remote were nearly depleted. That annoyed Demise, so he told Ghirahim to get out of his sight and never return, and that's what he did.
Its Fi, according to the one game that has her with voice narrations. Idk if its her canon way to say it but its all we’ve heard from a game with her in it
I think there’s a pretty clear answer actually. In all languages, including japanese, it is pronounced like the "Fi" in "Wi-Fi", so why should it be any different in english?
@@Buphido its not different people it’s pronounced like you said, this was confirmed and is still the only pronunciation stated in a game with zelda characters in it
Definitely a plausible theory, for sure Hyrule Historia confirms that each recurrence of Ganon and Ganondorf is in fact Demise in an alternate form each time, and the book also says multiple times that Ghirahim specializes in summoning demons So, a recurring demon summoning Demise over and over again definitely seems very plausible
I think it's possible that Ghirahim himself gets reincarnated, and that the first reincarnation of Demise was actually Ocarina of Time's Ganondorf. Characters like Vaati, Astor, and Yuga all look remarkably like Ghirahim and all aim to revive Ganon in some way or another, similarly to how Ghirahim relentlessly tried to revive Demise is Skyward Sword. I'd say that Demise has reincarnated into Ganon multiple times, and then perhaps Malladus in Spirit Tracks, while Ghirahim reincarnated into Yuga, Vaati, Astor etc. If Ghirahim isn't still actually around like Fi is and actively continuing to revive the Demon King, then he might be getting reincarnated into other characters that look like him and have similar goals.
@@koshai6521 Actually, I think Fi has been getting reincarnated, too In the 2d games, the Great Fairy looks almost identical to Fi, and then on top of that, Fis voice is a lot like Midna's, so could from evolution be an ancestor to the Twili; that one robot was quite fond of her, after all, so definitely could have descendents I'm sure 😉
@@windhunter7 That's certainly a possibility, but unless the reincarnation cycle works in a different and more complicated way to how we know it does, Fi can't have been reincarnated because we see that she's resided within the Master Sword for eons up until The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Ghirahim, on the other hand, hadn't been seen since the events of Skyward Sword.
@@koshai6521 Yeah, fair point, although I'm still kinda wondering if "Mistress Fi" came out of the sword at some point, I mean, it was her who went inside, so if she wanted to come out, she certainly could, and it would explain the rampant evil after Skyward Sword, as well (e.g. bokoblins were a lot rarer in SS than in other Games)
@@windhunter7 Yeah. I wonder what the "eternal sleep" actually means and whether it makes it so she can communicate through the sword like in Breath of the Wild but not leave it or that she can leave if she chooses to.
Pretty much all spoiler warnings too. They're like "Did you play it yet?! Did you?! Okay! Here we go!!" To be fair the more people experience that sooner, the better. :)
I know this is pretty late, but I recently played through Skyward Sword and saw something that would support this. After the second sword fight against Ghirahim, he says he will enjoy dragging Link into an eternity of torment (or something along those lines), and I think an endless cycle of reincarnation where you’re fated to battle against unimaginable evil in every reincarnation counts as an eternity of torment.
This was actually something I was thinking about as I watched the final cutscene again with BotW 2 in mind, so I actually agree with your final speculation. It’s interesting to think about how much of this they planned, how much they could retcon, or how much they didn’t think about these details XD
Demise looks kinda confused when his sword disappears. I don't think he would be surprised at his sword suddenly disappearing if it was a deliberate move.
I watched this theory awhile back that suggested that Ghirahim is actually Majora. The theory goes that after Link, Zelda, and Groose returned to the present, Impa encountered Ghirahim, or what was left of him, and sealed him away within Majora's Mask. The reasoning behind this that Majora's Mask is implied to be incredibly ancient, and for many years, it's been speculated that Majora's Mask was created by the Interlopers, who themselves are speculated to be members of the Sheikah tribe. If Impa did create Majora's Mask, or at least used it to seal Ghirahim away, than it fits with the known origins of Majora's Mask. Also, Ghirahim and Majora are both known to be insane, and perhaps Ghirahim being Majora is the reason why Majora says that Link is the bad guy. Because in a previous life, Link killed his master, and was a thorn in his side throughout Skyward Sword.
There's one thing that always bothered me about this "Curse of the Demon Tribe", if all monsters came from Demise himself, it means that the Demon Tribe is just a part of Demise's essence, which means that the Curse of the Demon Tribe is the Curse of Demise, becasue all demons came from him (Demon Tribe = Demise, so, Curse of the Demon Tribe = Demise's Curse)
I was thinking that the way the master sword choses who is worthy of the sword it’s the same with dimise’s sword. So similar to when you made the theory about zant and the neck crack ghirahim deemed dimise unworthy of the sword after seeing him being defeated by a young boy and like ganon was angry that the person who he thought of as a god was defeated so easily. So maybe there is a birthplace for dimises sword?? But that’s just my opinion :).
Well demise had been defeated before and ghirahim stayed loyal, twice as well as zant was completed trash talked by Ganon after his death so ghirahim most likely still has loyalty to demise, but you can have your own opinions I don’t mind.
Me: Wow what an interesting theory. Very well presented, thought out and while a little out there, still is completely possible Also me: hehehehehe he called Ghirahim a tool
I was playing skyward sword again and I noticed that after beating girahim again in the fire sanctuary he said this "You filthy scamp! You have awakened a wrath that will burn for eons! I swear to you, whatever it takes, I'll drag you into an eternity of torment"
Considering we got a Fi shout-out in BOTW, I really hope we get some hint of Ghiraham in the sequel, especially since this is probably closest Ganon’s been to Demise in eons. Although I can’t help but imagine his first reaction to Ganon being, “Master, you’ve shrunk!”
To quote Ghirahim from his second fight: "You filthy scamp! You have awakened a wrath that will burn for eons! I swear to you, whatever it takes, I will drag you into an eternity of torment!"
I think Ghirahim abandoned Demise because he failed to kill Link, kinda looks like Demise looks at his hand in confusion like "why did my sword just disappear?"
I personally do not, I don't think there's anything that suggest that Demise draws any power from Ghirahim. If anything it probably would have worked more in Link's favor since he would have more energy not having fought Ghirahim or the hordes of enemies on the way to him.
Love your content, Bandit! I agree with this theory 100%. I think Ghirahim has persisted as a physical representation of the curse. Also, if you look at Demise’s words. He does not claim to have just cursed the hero and Zelda. He merely reports that the two of them are ALREADY cursed to repeat this cycle. This implies that he may have completed the curse when sealed by Hylia, foreseeing her plans before his downfall. When Link defeats him, he has been RESURRECTED, implying that he was defeated once before. This was likely when the curse was placed.
I also was thinking of this theory when replaying the hd remake, I noticed u didn't mention it butwhen confronting link for I think k the 2nd or 3rd time Girahim gets angry at link and raves about how he is gonna torture link eternally or some such
I really do want to know where Ghirahim went. Did he “abandon” Demise? Because he seemed to have just teleported away from the battle. And I’m not sure if it’s just me being over-observant, but Demise appeared pretty surprised, or at least caught off-guard. I don’t think he was absorbed into the Master Sword nor do I believe that he was killed when his Master was killed. If he really is Fi’s counterpart, this means that the same rules apply to him as they do to Fi/the Master Sword. (There may be a few exceptions, but we can touch on those later.) What I’m suggesting is that he’s somehow, somewhere still alive, or at least existing in some dormant state, because when Link is killed/not present in the timeline, Fi doesn’t get destroyed/dissolved. Obviously, neither Fi or Ghirahim are directly tied to their Masters’ life force, yet they are both crucial in their survival/revival. So if Fi is “present” in the BotW era, where is Ghirahim? Where has he been for the whole timeline(s)?
I mean Ghirahim was stabed multiple times in the crystal on his chest, the same where the anti master sword was created out of. Fi also has the same crystal btw. Maybe thats the source where the two blades are drawing their power from since they are also present on the swords. I guess if the blade spirits are badly wounded, the swords become unstable. I mean they ARE the embodyment of the swords. Ghirahim is really injured the time he enters the sword. Maybe Demise is so shocked because he never believed that his sword could be destroyed like how the Master sword can't be. He didn't care about Ghirahim, he hasn't payed attention that he was so beaten up. He probably did not realise in which state his sword was hince the disbelieve when it just disappeared. The sword or rather Ghirahin couldn't handle anymore fighting with link
You always have the most ridiculous speculation, but there's always some credibility to the wild ideas that come out of your head. It's clear that you actually put some thought into your work, and I for one, really appreciate that. Too many Zelda tubers come up with some stuff with zero evidence at all, and then speak as if it's fact, so you are a welcome change. Been subbed for a while, and I can't sub twice, but I WILL sub to your second channel ;)
Great theory. I've also wondered where the other Ghirahim is, from the past. Link defeated two incarnations of Demise: once with the Triforce (Skyloft in the present) and once with the Master Sword in the past. Only one Ghirahim dissipated, and although it happened in the past, it was the Ghirahim from the future, assumedly. If so, where is Ghirahim from the past? Is it possible that Demise knew this, being essentially a deity. And even if he did not know, there should be another essence of Ghirahim from the past lurking around in the present.
Ghirahim's own sword disappears in a similar matter before his fight at Skyview temple yet her resummons it easy peasy later on in that same fight. He also does something similar to his cloak. It's fully possible that Ghirahim was just teleported away or left on his own.
Zelda 2 is a good redemption ark for Giraham . Giraham might tell you all demise’s secrets or show a secret tunnel to a chest or even better to demise himself
I always figured that only the strongest could wield Ghirahim. Since Demise was defeated, Ghirahim left as he didn't have the respect he once had for him. But he was also too egotistical to simply turn himself over to Link, deciding to simply disappear as he waited for someone he deemed powerful and worthy enough to wield his blade.
It kinda seemed like Ghirahim just abandoned Demise, because Denise seemed confused about where the sword went (he looked at his hand afterwards with a confused face)
It's good to be back. I wasn't watching any Skyward Sword content until I beat it (an hour and half ago). I never played it before. Motion controls, I'm old. Great game. Good to see you again Bandit. Not watching Zelda videos for 2 weeks was difficult. I owe Xenogamer a visit still and I think I got everybody. Take care Bandit. I missed you Dude.
If that’s so then perhaps Ghirahim eventually stumbled upon and instructed the trinrova sisters to offer baby Ganondorf as a sacrifice to Demise when he was first born
We also know that Fi’s presence is still in the Master Sword to some extent, despite how SS ended, because in BotW, Zelda can still hear her voice. So it would make since that Ghirahim’s presence lived on in some way as well.
I used to live in Texas and actually spent a couple summers there in a place with no air conditioning; the first summer literally almost killed me. I can definitely empathize with what you're going through. Hope you can get it fixed quickly!
Hey mask Nintendo banded here is a very special theory what if Nintendo put out skyward sword HD instead of breath of the wild two because if they would have released breath of the wild people wouldn’t recognize the sky elements and the return of Ghirahim so Nintendo was preparing us for breath of the wild two
Dang, these theories are great, my theory was that ghirahim got reincarnated into the people who succeeded in fully reserecting ganon, like agahnim, yuga, & astor. Now I want to believe that ghirahim being the curse of the demon tribe is true, awesome theories as always 👍
Personally I feel like Ghirahim fled since when Demise looks to his sword dissolving he looks surprised. As to the curse of the demon tribe it might be some sort of evocation fueled by the last bit of Demise' life force being transfered before he basically disintegrates. Also I hope thing are all good in the banding household and especially for poor Ganon. Huskies are not made for the heat and I want the poop pup to be ok
Demise stabbing his sword to the ground to enact the curse makes so much sense and I can't believe I never considered that in 10 years. Stuff like this is why I love you and all the other YT Zelda theorists.
Yay, another video about carnivorous swords! These have.been popping up in my recommendations recently, and while some of them are older, most of them are fairly young. Video age aside, let me get back to carnivorous swords... I agree with your final assessment. As far as Ghirahim taking forms other than a sword or a humanoid, that may be due to the influence of his wielder at any given time. It also may be that Demise's absence keeps him from taking a humanoid shape. As for him possibly conversing with his wielders since Demise, I don't think he would have found them worthy, which puts a knot in the idea that he may have been wielded by people other than Demise himself for me. He was crafted by Demise to specifically be a tool. During Demise's imprisonment, did Ghirahim work to free him because it was part of his function? I'm not sure; Demise was far too full of himself and encountering a human who was ballsy enough to stand against him seemed to be enough of a pleasant surprise that he showed a respect for his adversary you typically don't see in the run-of-the-mill demon king. Demise was certainly no dumbass, so it may well have been that he worked failsafes, backups, and secondary functions into Ghirahim. That doesn't explain the pleasure Ghirahim took in battle, the frustration he showed during key points throughout the game, or the joy he expressed at Demise's return. Fi, on the other hand, only came to know happiness and gratitude while on Link's journey with him. This brings up the question of how long Ghirahim was with Demise prior to Hylia crafting Fi. It also brings up another question: how exactly did Demise temper Ghirahim? One could argue that he was tempered in the three sacred flames as the golden goddesses appear to have been morally neutral, but maybe not? Demise was of the demon tribe, after all, not of the gods' tribe. There's another question here of whether or not immortals can use the flames at all but if I go there I'll forget where I want to go with this. Carnivorous swords. Considering Ghirahim's bloodthirsty nature, it could be that he was bathed in the blood of the gods. The only gods we ever hear about in the Zeldaverse are the three golden goddesses, Hylia, and Demise. If there are more I've forgotten, someone please let me know. If there were more, did Demise hunt them and use their blood to temper Ghirahim, or did he go around slaying insanely old and powerful slightly lesser spirits instead? If Ghirahim was bathed in blood rather than flame, it may explain the massive personality differences between him and Fi. Yes, I also think the Master Sword (Fi) is carnivorous, and since there's been such a large time gap between the last game and BoTW, that may explain why the sword almost kills Link when he pulls it 100 years pre-BoTW (and again during BoTW)as well as at least the previous two risings of Demise's curse have been Calamity events, which I'm assuming were as hands-off as it were as the most recent one (the evil wasn't actually stabbed with the Master Sword as a finishing blow prior to being sealed away again). I also think that's why the sword glows when in the presence of Malice or Malice-infected enemies, it wants sustenance. In WW, the Master Sword needs prayed over to maintain its abilities, but it doesn't in OoT or TP. In BoTW it needs time to rest after a certain length of time to regain its strength, and even finishing the DLC doesn't entirely restore it. It was also put in its pedestal before the Deku Tree by Zelda so it could heal after the damage it sustained pre-BoTW. Ooo, here's a thought. Back to Ghirahim. When Demise thrust him into the ground, depending on what physical ground the otherworldly ground would correspond with, did Demise have Ghirahim...uh, regurgitate himself into the ground as the curse? So that way there would be no way to break or otherwise stop the curse, period? The earth, according to the lore, would correspond with Din which would prevent the.curse from running out of steam. The curse would take on the behavior and attributes of a natural force (which we see in BoTW). Ah shit, did another wall and went off on a tangent again. Sowwy.
This is a very good theory and take on why Ghirahim decided to up and vanish, I felt like he merely hid himself from this fight so that he can then come back because if you think about it, he probably did the same thing for when Demise got first imprisoned in that stake-thing--- Also I can't help but laugh at your search bar in the youtube section of the video 🤣 gotta love auto correct.
I've had kind of a similar thought. I've thought that Ghirahim is still stuck in that realm, watching the events of the series and trying to figure out a way to get the heck out of there. One more thought is that he could be influencing things to a certain degree from in there, as I'm sure the hatred of watching your side get defeated over and over again is sure to produce a lot of Malice, and he's still Demise's second in command, meaning he probably still holds some influence. I've given this man way too much thought, but given he's the main villain of a fanfic I'm working on, I kind of have to. I really hope we get to see him return in some form or another!
Ghirahim's name is based on Ghira which translates to "the terrible' and the ending of Agahnims name from Lttp. To me this is an indication that Ghirahim's role as the right hand support to the demon king does indeed replicate, at least in some capacity, over the ages. Zant, Agahnim, Chancellor Cole, Yuga, anytime there is an evil servant devoted to resurrecting or using a powerful demon leader it's that echo Bouncing back once more. Now of all villains, I love Ghirahim the most and I truly hope he makes a comeback someday in full form. By far the best character of the villains in the franchise. Why just look at that body, such an exquisite form! Why he's pretty much got it all!
What if Ghirahim escaped to create a following for his teachings of power, and guide them to create a vessel for this curse. Ghirahim, the dark skinned demon, might have encouraged the rise of the Gerudo. Even if he then became a weapon again for his new master, his new people would cultivate the curse of his master so it could materialize easier.
The thing is if ghirahem was destroyed when his creator was, then why wasn’t FI when Hylia died. Denise and Hylia both had sword spirits, and reincarnations. So if hylias lived when she died, then I can’t see why demise’s wouldn’t.
I love your theory, and if it is turn out to be true, it would be exciting to see the return of ghirahim and if his story is being explored more. of course it should be not being too tied on skyward sword, but I think it is easy for legend of zelda that they have doing that for multiple times
The only problem about this theory is the fact that Demise looked... confused/surprised to see his weapon disappear. You can see it in the clip at 9:26, where Ghirahim disappears and Demise then rotates his hand and then looks at it for a moment.
I know I’m late on this one, but it really seems like malice is flowing out of the dead body, that is presumably ganandorf, in the BOTW2 Trailer. Therefore, gannondorf makes malice, and if girahim IS malice, then ganadorf makes girahim, not the other way around.
If Girahim is the opposite to Fi, it only makes sense that instead of being loyal he will betray his Master when it was clear they could not win. The trustworthy Fi versus the untrustworthy Girahim. I think he ran off.
This is one of the most believable theories I’ve heard in recent years and sounds like it could definitely become true. What if this whole time the true evil is actually ghirahim. He’s able to bring his master back time and time again, something that his master could not do himself. Ghirahim has so much personality compared to the reincarnations of his master that shows he would be the better overall antagonist. We see that zant is basically controlling ganondorf so why can’t ghirahim do the same. Demise may of been the true original evil but he was defeated and ghirahim took a pledge to keep his ‘legacy’ alive but all reincarnations of him were weaker in comparison.
I like one theory of that both Ghirahim and Fi were both made by the Goddess Hylia as living weapons, but Ghirahim was given free will and questioned why he had to listen to orders, and defected to the demon army out of resentment for his creator. This could explain Fi’s more robotic nature as she was made with less free will out of fear of her defecting. This could also help prove Ghirahim running away rather than getting absorbed or dissolved as he isn’t really tied to demise himself. There’s not a whole lot of evidence for this theory other than both the master sword and the dark master sword looking so similar, and Fi and Ghirahim’s true forms having similar design elements.suggesting they could have been made by the same person. -though the fact Fi doesn’t have arms could be another way that the goddess restricted her as Ghirahim’s arms are very strong-
My only rebottle is that when he slams his sword to the ground and it disappears he looks at the palm of his hand like why is it disappearing if you look at his face
A good theory however think about this: If Ghirahim was actually absorbed into the Master Sword, that means that there could technically be both Fi(Fee?) and Ghirahim inside the sword! What if they have spent thousands upon thousands of years with each other, unable to leave the sword! Idk, might be funny lol.
In the spirit of heavily overthinking things, I do see one problem with Ghirahim being malice in botw. And that is that malice already exists in Skyward Sword in the form of the evil crystals. This is while Ghirahim is still in his humanoid form so it would be a little strange if there were little crystalized chunks of him spread throughout the land lol. Like I said heavily overthinking but I think that's the point here
Give the new browser a try! mtchm.de/y2cuw
Hey guys, thank you so much for watching! Have you finished Skyward Sword HD yet?
I have indeed finished SS HD, and pretty fast, I’ve had the original for years!
I'm not buying it
Hey could geraheam be that guy in age of calamity
i bought it but i haven’t finished it yet, been playing a small bit at a time so i can enjoy it
@@iceninja6649, you mean Astor? They have a lot, and I mean A LOT in common, but uh, no, probably not.
I like the idea that Ghirahim is the curse, but not that he's malice. He's way too... opinionated to let himself become evil ooze.
Ghirahim does seem to have a power similar to Malice, when seeing the bosses he brings to life. But I agree, it wouldn't suit him to go on such a rampage, i'd imagine him better helping and manipulating ambitious characters to access dark powers over the course of time to keep on the work of his master.
Yeah, he can clearly wield Malice in SS and has power over it, but is not Malice himself.
Actually, it could still be ghirahim, but instead of him on his own, it is part of his power and merely a tool, which would explain the intelligence behind the malice.
Malice isn't Ooze
It's clouds of Pure Evil Essence
Good point, however I feel like in a weird way Ghirahim wouldn't mind, being immortal (I assume), and once he finally materialized in humanoid form again he would lick his lips at the boy in the green tunic and say some creepy stuff like, "I have been watching you for so long now...I have seen all of you..."
Ghirahim is the blade of evil that isn’t truly destroyed but vanished
Also stupid haha joke here:
Hyrule warriors’ version of the Master Sword is broken.
I would love something that left field tbh, spice things up a bit haha
If that's the case, then Astor shouldn't have freaked out when he was being consumed by Malice
@@mmyr8ado.360 well it was never confirmed that Astor was the prophet who told the royal family about the Sheikah tech. Theorist mostly spoke that into existence without it ever being confirmed.
I have actually always theorized the dig up sheika tech was actually Ganon's plan all along kupo
@@gamerwithsandwhich2160 >"Not really"
Don't be so sure about that statement, buddy...

One more bit of proof that Ghirahim wouldn't vanish if Demise did, is that *SPOILERS AHEAD*:
When Link wishes for the eradication of Demise, Ghirahim still shows up and is able to travel back and revive him. If Ghirahim's lifeforce was bound to Demise, he would've ceased to exist, at least in that time period.
Something else to think about that just popped in my head;
The ghirahim that Demise uses as a sword in that battle is the one from the future timeline. The ghirahim from the timeline where link fought demise is still out there..... independent to whatever happened to the ghirahim we've been following the whole game.
@@justinkomora4518 Oh… my god… two Ghirahims theory?
@@mysryuza to go along with the multiple master sword theories
He’s just the Sword of Demise(funny enough thats the only name we’ve heard that sword called, alonside Fi’s only pronunciation ever stated in any game with zelda characters)
The catch?

@@Buphido its not different people it’s pronounced like you said, this was confirmed and is still the only pronunciation stated in a game with zelda characters in it
Definitely a plausible theory, for sure
Hyrule Historia confirms that each recurrence of Ganon and Ganondorf is in fact Demise in an alternate form each time, and the book also says multiple times that Ghirahim specializes in summoning demons
So, a recurring demon summoning Demise over and over again definitely seems very plausible
@@koshai6521 Actually, I think Fi has been getting reincarnated, too
In the 2d games, the Great Fairy looks almost identical to Fi, and then on top of that, Fis voice is a lot like Midna's, so could from evolution be an ancestor to the Twili; that one robot was quite fond of her, after all, so definitely could have descendents I'm sure 😉

Sameeeee :)
Same!

I was about to say the same point. I second this.
I love how thanos-snap is a verb now!
I was thinking that he absorbs the sword using the power to give him last bit of strength to have curse
Love pfp
Probably would've helped your theory if you had quoted what Ghirahim said in the Fire Sanctuary.
Are you not going to put said quote?
@@SoaringxDragon probably talking about the "thread of fate" line
There's one thing that always bothered me about this "Curse of the Demon Tribe", if all monsters came from Demise himself, it means that the Demon Tribe is just a part of Demise's essence, which means that the Curse of the Demon Tribe is the Curse of Demise, becasue all demons came from him (Demon Tribe = Demise, so, Curse of the Demon Tribe = Demise's Curse)
"his masters sword...a master sword if you will"
Someone call the police this man is out of control
Very well presented, thought out and while a little out there, still is completely possible
Also me: hehehehehe he called Ghirahim a tool
I was playing skyward sword again and I noticed that after beating girahim again in the fire sanctuary he said this
"You filthy scamp! You have awakened a wrath that will burn for eons! I swear to you, whatever it takes, I'll drag you into an eternity of torment"
Would that also have been a curse?
That sounds plausible, good catch and great video. As always!
Ghirahim has always confused me and is so weird
Ghirahim is possibly my favorite character in the whole series. I love his energy so much.
To quote Ghirahim from his second fight:
"You filthy scamp! You have awakened a wrath that will burn for eons! I swear to you, whatever it takes, I will drag you into an eternity of torment!"
When Demise put his sword into the ground, it was also the opposite of a Skyward strike, further balancing out the duality between him and Hylia.

I think Ghirahim abandoned Demise because he failed to kill Link, kinda looks like Demise looks at his hand in confusion like "why did my sword just disappear?"
Do you think that Demise would have won if Ghirahim wasn't defeated by Link moments before the final battle?
I personally do not, I don't think there's anything that suggest that Demise draws any power from Ghirahim. If anything it probably would have worked more in Link's favor since he would have more energy not having fought Ghirahim or the hordes of enemies on the way to him.
Nah.
Ghiraham is a fabulous character
Pun intended? He's very clearly gay-coded.
He is ham
This actually would make a lot of sense.
I love your theory videos
I also was thinking of this theory when replaying the hd remake, I noticed u didn't mention it butwhen confronting link for I think k the 2nd or 3rd time Girahim gets angry at link and raves about how he is gonna torture link eternally or some such

Just gotta say... whether intentional or coincidental, Ghirahim's "evil" expression at 2:00-2:02 is absolutely perfect lol
With them hinting at Fi still being inside the sword in Botw I have some hope that some form of Girahim might return in Botw 2
If there are differents weapons then maybe there are differents spirits. Ghirahim is maybe just one of them. The Trident might be someone else ^^
I never thought of that, that would make more sense than ghirahim serving a different master
I really liked Ghirahim as a villain, he was interesting and unique as a character.
At the end of girahims fire sanctuary fight, he actually curses link in the same way that demise does.
Finally someone talks about this guy.
Nah man, Ghiraihim now works at walmart. Seen him there are a few days ago. Weird guy but helpful when I couldn't find batteries.

Hylia was badly wounded and hasn't really died. She transformed her soul as a last afford to survive and to hold up the seal
Yasssss!!! Let's goooo!!! No problem also, It'll be even more hype when ya begin making Let's play videos
Keep uploading masked, if you ever stop I will give up on zelda tubers!
-though the fact Fi doesn’t have arms could be another way that the goddess restricted her as Ghirahim’s arms are very strong-
If this means that Girahim can come back or that he has already come back multiple times I am so on board with this theory!
BANDIT, U SHOULD DO A GHIRAHIM COSPLAYYY
My only rebottle is that when he slams his sword to the ground and it disappears he looks at the palm of his hand like why is it disappearing if you look at his face
NBC and MNB uploads it’s lit
A good theory however think about this: If Ghirahim was actually absorbed into the Master Sword, that means that there could technically be both Fi(Fee?) and Ghirahim inside the sword! What if they have spent thousands upon thousands of years with each other, unable to leave the sword! Idk, might be funny lol.
I love this vid already and I haven't even watched it
In the spirit of heavily overthinking things, I do see one problem with Ghirahim being malice in botw. And that is that malice already exists in Skyward Sword in the form of the evil crystals. This is while Ghirahim is still in his humanoid form so it would be a little strange if there were little crystalized chunks of him spread throughout the land lol. Like I said heavily overthinking but I think that's the point here
The avocado of death...that gets arms....and then can fly.
it's more like a pineapple really
“Giriham is Malice” isn’t even the weirdest theory that makes sense which I’ve seen and I still did a double take
