I was born in 1971, was grown up with Jean Michel Jarre. He brought me the spirit of open mind, the romanticism of a technology world and at the end my C64!!
For me personally, this Jean Michel Jarre album "The Concerts in China" is one of the most important works done in the history of music. This album is the best of all time. This does not mean that the Equinoxe, Oxygene and others albums are not good, but this one is for me the favorite. All the songs are absolutely incredible.
Thanks for the message. I really wanted to say "Amazing piece of work". Then I was going to say "Awesome vid". But I don't want to wear these adjectives out! So I'll say instead "Highly impressive. Fabulous. 5*+" Oh, and it's an amazing piece of work by the way! ;-)
Which makes it all the more chilling. Like watching a victim desperately struggling to claw her way out of a killer's dungeon. You get more of an ominous, bleak, dark sense with the slower tempo
Yeah I couldn't get my head around it when I actually got hold of the Magnetic Fields album - to this day it just sounds ridiculously fast - I first got to know this version on the Essential Jarre Compilation
Wonderful animation. Jarre fan since 87 approved. Let me ask you a question, creator. Do you have the 1987 Jean Michel Jarre large format book by Jean-Louis Remilleux?
@@cheebachops My new phone won't send me youtube alerts.. Yeah, I even have the French version of the book signed by JMJ himself. I asked since there are many variants there of the China logo, and I thought you'd have to see it in case you hadn't and I was going to post an imgur link.
@@autentyk5735 Nice one, JMJ fans are the best. I would have done more for the video, but the red and white scheme just stuck. My version is the UK one, only £9 back then! Can't get anything as glorious today for that price!
Based on a subset of the Magnetic Fields 1 multi tracks run at 50% with new lead and rhythm overlaid... Half speed = one octave down and pretty much pitch perfect for about a minute and a half - mix/levels bit different but otherwise...
yeah...for years my mind is in trouble with this idea...and i tried it on ableton...BINGO...you´re damn right and my mind is too....to read that there is another freak thinking about the same and hear the same....greetings ch
