The Concerts in China was a concert tour by Jean Michel Jarre, notable for marking the opening of post-Mao China to live Western music, in 1981. Five concerts were held in the two biggest cities, for an estimated audience of 120,000 spectators, on October 21 and 22 in Beijing, and on October 26 through 28 in Shanghai.

The extremely fat Synths on "Overture", what were they? The bass line that is kind of a low pitch brass sound (The slowed down arpeggio sound from Magnetic Fields 1)? Fantastic! The drawn out "Drone"-like sound? The "Sync" lead sound?
And the fantastic solo playing by one of the other musicians!
And Equinoxe IV sounds way, way better than the studio version. It's the best version of all time for him.
I think his best albums are collaborations with Perrier, Geiss etc.
Mostly done in the earlier parts of his career, which most people also think are the best!

JMJ is the pioneer of the synthetizers even back then he managed to play live including pre-recording loops and parts back in 1980 also using computers, so as you can see he is a true artist, he created and discovered lots of things that current musician now applay when they make their music....no play back whatsoever just a way of expose all the parts of his work at the same time, himself is an orchestra
