I used 22mm copper for a 9m run of the exhaust but found after two years it was almost completely coked up with just a small hole through the middle to let the gasses through. Now I have increased the bore size to 50mm after the initial 1.5m (using 50mm aluminium tubing) and extended it to 12m long. The result has lowered the noise to around 25db and the gasses are exhausted a long way from the house to the bottom of the back garden. This has been my best modification. Even with a couple of 90 bends, it is able to breath freely
Double heat now. Wow. I would put a perforated cover the whole length of it. Mount it to the wall.allows heat to rise and warming the garage ..far greater Protection is a must. Fill the gap in wall with fireproof foam or other
Hi this looks great! However I would lower the exhaust at the wall or raise the heater as the moisture will collect at the bottom of the heater as shown. Thanks for your demonstration.
I run an exhaust about 3m long to get it out at the rear bumper of the motorhome, been working fine for 2 years now. The temp gun will work on the copper pipe if you spray sections of it with matt black paint.
The recommended length of a diesel heater exhaust pipe is a minimum of 200 millimeters and a maximum of two meters also arsenic can be produced when exhaust gases pass through copper pipe so not advisable
How can you live with that noise inside? Instead of the 3m copper pipe for the exhaust, why don't you use a water radiator (exhaust fumes heating it instead of water)? It will collect heat, and maintain it much better and for longer than the copper pipe.
Just wondered would it use any more fuel with a longer exaust.i put mine on alpine and fuel consumption went from2 and a half litres for 30 hours two 1.8 for 30 hours
Im. Busy dealing with this , love vevor heater

Thanks for the tips!
I've put one in about 1 metre copper pipe hope to add a radiator at somepoint
