How can you say that? Nobunaga was kind of a brutal monster and made many mistakes that led to his downfall. Besides, had Nobunaga become Shogun and united all of Japan under his rule, who's to say worse things wouldn't have happened? Tokugawa Ieyasu was pretty intelligent, patient, stretegic, etc. He endured many failures before finally becoming Shogun, and Japan experienced 200 years of great peace and prosperity.

Yasuke, being still a little unfamiliar with a samurai's way of thinking, is still trying to think of ways that he could save his lord, while Nobunaga has already accepted that he'd meet his death where he stood. A samurai falls with his castle. His ambition ends here, but he knew that it will gave way to those who have similar ambitions. In the end, whether it was him or someone else, he knew that Japan will be unified. Besides, he already has two people who was ready to inherit those ambitions. Katsuie and Hideyoshi.

To begin with, there is no way that Yasuke was wearing armor at the time of the Honnoji Incident. Yasuke was not a soldier, and the followers who were near Nobunaga at the time of the Honnoji Incident were still in their regular clothes.
I highly doubt yasuke wasn’t wearing armor considering he fought until nobunga’s son died and akechi told him to surrender. His wounds was treated as well. We also gotta account akechi had gunman with him.
Its highly unlikely yasuke would survive considering his wounds going off context and the only logical reason for his wounds being treated and sent by to the jesuits was to not anger the Christians who valued yasuke as a slave.

None of that is true. He fled to Nobunagas son. When when he was caught he wasn't offered sepukku because he wasn't a samurai. He was returned to the Jesuits who brought him to Japan. They left Japan soon after and he was never heard from again. Fictional tv with Yasuke is fine but this made up history needs to stop
Sadly the soundtrack was the best part of this anime, luckily it’s being released on vinyl. It would have been much better if it were based on real world events, and not some pseudo Feudal Era & Cyberpunk mashup. 😑

Gorgeous visuals, decent voice acting, unusual but superb soundtrack by Flying Lotus; nevertheless, the story is plain bad. It tilts towards sci-fi and cyberpunk and that is where it lays its problem. The last three episodes were rushed and the three out of the four mercenaries were killed off too soon. There was so much chemistry. Disappointing. My rating is 5/10.

The plot feels pretty weird I was expecting more of his past rather than some weird ass magic shit and corny mechs The animation and music is fine but my issue is with the plot structure and concepts here and Honestly there’s no world building and if there was then it very little lol. And Things just happened and there was no explanation as of why, the characters had no depth or backstories,deus ex machinas,no character development at all (if there was then its very little lmaoo),etc

As a Japanese, let me say that Yasuke is a person for whom historical data is very scarce. With that little data, it is impossible to confirm whether Yasuke was recognized as a full-fledged samurai or not. This animation is mostly based on imagination.

I had intended to judge this anime purely on its portrayal of Nobunaga. So 0/10... So terrible that it actually made me go hunting for better portrayals. Then I discovered Kujaku-Ou/Spirit Warrior, so that worked out rather oddly.

The animation and music is fine but my issue is with the plot structure and concepts here and Honestly there’s no world building and if there was then it very little lol. And Things just happened and there was no explanation of why, the characters had no depths or backstories,deus ex machinas,no character development at all (if there was then its very little lmaoo),etc
I had intended to judge this anime purely on its portrayal of Nobunaga. So 0/10... So terrible that it actually made me go hunting for better portrayals. Then I discovered Kujaku-Ou/Spirit Warrior, so that worked out rather oddly.
