I got my Regal (turbo) about 6 months ago and couldn't be happier. It is comfortable, fast, and elegant. Don't underestimate Buick. I would be hard pressed to find a better car for the price. I had a Verano for 3 years and upgraded to the Regal. The best choice I have ever made car-wise. And this is coming from someone who has tried just about ever make and model of car over the last 30 years. It's not just for old people any more.
David thank you very much for this post. I just bought a 2017 Regal Turbo AWD with the Limited Trim Level from Carvana, without laying eyes on it, due to good reviews like yours. Thanks
Carl D'Angeline hi. Do you still have your regal? I just acquired one from a family member. How can I tell if it’s s Turbo or not? It has the T emblem on the right side rear but the owner thought it was not a turbo
I just brought one 4 days ago. But I bought the Premium II trim level. The car have so many features and amenities, most not even offered in traditional luxury brands, it is taking me some time to learn to use them all. I am loving all the telematics features especially the remote and satellite start that allows you to turn on or off your vehicle from anywhere via mobile phone, now that the cold weather has arrived. Don't sleep on Buick. Remember The legendary 1987 Grand National GNX was a turbo Buick Regal.
How's the car working out for you? And how many miles did you buy it at? Asking because I'm seriously considering buying the used one I saw today (same trim, Premium II)
Just purchased one a few weeks ago, in fact, this exact model. I keep looking for confirmation that the vehicle is as good as it seems. I am extremely happy with this vehicle. I cruise most of the time, but every now and then, I hit the pedal, and she does not disappoint! I love this car.
@@bobrobertson3558 The car has been going excellent to this day,. My only slight concern is that I seem to have a slow leak in one of the tires. I have to add air to it every few weeks. However, its not bad enough for me to buy a new tire.
I have a 2016..Its a screamer when you put your foot in it wicked quick! with premium 93 ..Nice handling also really like this car...its a keeper.. much more than entry level and very underrated..
@whatever_whatever Looking at a 17' turbo premium II. Have you seen any issues concerning earlier, I think 14' to 15' cracked rings and or pistons. Almost forgot, do you love it?
Not enough Chevy references. Come on now we know the 2.0T is also found in the Malibu, Camaro, ATS, etc. The buttons and infotainment is the Chevy Mylink rebranded and stuff. Still a GM product at the end. #16Malibuowner
The two cars have some very different personality traits. The Buick build quality is noticeably tighter, handling much better, and the ride is a lot more quiet. And chicken before the egg here: Malibu is the same platform, but was designed & engineered by Chevrolet division in North America. Regal was designed by Opel Germany, with luxury enhancements (like the quiet-tuning) and other, more superficial changes commissioned by Buick division for the NA market.
Are you nuts? A comparable Audi or BMW or Mercedes would be much much more costly with the same equipment and likely have higher insurance costs, never mind the cost of running a European car in north america. I own this exact car, very sporty feel and will push 140 mph rather easily. The definition of an overlooked car.
Driving this car is like riding a horse without saddle, its too much noisy inside, low profile tyres may have improve looks yet uncomfortable to ride, small road dings and dents are felt loud, annoying, poor manoeuvring, too heavy look, poorly manufactured I Canada, though upholstery is good in quality but not elegant, insufficient capacity in cabin, no left foot rest is provided, seat are harder and uncomfortable, nothing to say "wow" accept brand name, that's the reason this car is not popular in market, no resale value,

I got mine as a first car and it is in fact one of the best price quality on there 🤤🤤. Love you Bumblebee
One of the best looking sedans I have ever seen! This is what a true sedan looks like, way better than today’s designs.
As an 11 Regal owner I love my car. So underrated. Quiet, smooth. Not much has changed so its def due for a new model.
2018 will be the new refresh based off the 2016+ Malibu Chassis.
2018 Regal is Buick's version of the current-gen Opel Insignia. Malibu, while sharing a platform with Regal / Insignia, is designed separately.

Is it reliable? Or expensive to maintain?

Comprehensive, seemingly unbiased review, thanks.
the new Regal is coming and its going to be bad ass, more power, less weight, and a much better interior. can't wait!
If much better = more plain + less expensive-feeling surface materials, then yes.
Wish the Regal wouldn't be so forgotten. Seems like the only Buick Sedan anyone ever knows about is the Lacrosse
I know! The Regal is a great car!
Can anyone tell me if the '17 Turbo Regal has auto start/stop of the engine? The '18 redesign does, and I'd like to avoid it by perhaps buying a '17
a little late to the party here, but my '17 does not have start/stop.

@whatever_whatever Really, well that's honest opinion. Now I have second thoughts. Lol. Hmm, what year s4 by the way. Lol
great job you know your Buicks will buy one ! . Beautiful !!!.
300 lb. ft. of torque for a 4 banger, is monstrous.
Could you please review the Sierra 2500HD with the gas engine? Thanks
So I'm planning on getting this car. I personally love them. Do you think it's too old Manish for a 32 year old to drive?
No, not even. The car is bad-ass. Anyone who tells you they're hung-up on a car's "name" has a personal problem.
I'm 25 and I'm planning on getting one soon haha. They're sick! But I want the GS
I'm 21 and going to get it
Also, onre more thing, this car is a fuckin value. $30k for a Regal? WTF. seriously this should be 5k more at least.
Yoshiaki K. I know right?! Buick doesn't get enough credit, their cars are top notch for a good value.
Yoshiaki K.
Lol don't get excited....it's not a Camry or an accord.
Check out hertz car sales, yes it was a rental but I'm looking at them for 16,000 not bad they also have audi a3 for like 17k and a q50 for like 19k.

Well no shit it's a gm product. The Buick is likely quite alike to a Cadillac but it's got a much sportier feel
good video
Looks like an IlX killer!
bdoleza
I don't know , I've driven both and the ilx in my opinion is the better car
Also, dem CT6's in the background. Hnnnnng.
