You’ve opened my eyes, I need to think about what I carry in my bag while I’m out, I’m going to do some shopping and build up something similar.
    Thanks Kris!

Here in the SoCal desert you need sun screen and a big brimmed hat, lots of water, clothing optional. Snake bite kit might come in handy too. Excellent kit!!

      Life straws are good.
Most of the time a small bottle of water does the job though as it’s rare that I’m more than 5 miles from civilisation.

Got a link to that red spray?
Could come in handy when under attack from the camber sands jihadists

I have an antiseptic wound spray for cleaning out wounds plus an insect bite stick for treating bites, small bottle of suntan lotion. Oh and pen and paper. Mobile phone. Some money. A test coin (really poor silver hammered). Plasters. Spray bottle of water for cleaning finds. An emergency plastic poncho. And a few other bits snd pieces you’ve already mentioned.
    Good video 👍🏼

the cutting implement on your para-cord bracelet is a flint to use with the middle rod in the buckle that holds it closed :)

Your "cutting implement" on the paracord bracelet is actually a striker. On the other side of the clasp is a ferro rod for making sparks and fire.

I'd recommend superglue. It's good for closing small cuts, as well as repairing stuff that breaks. I sliced my hand a few weeks back, and used glue to stop the bleeding, and hospitals also do the same btw, the thicker types are best for medical use as watery glue can travel into cuts or under skin. Dry tinder may also be useful if you are in damp conditions.

Ah yea, as a Bass player superglue saved me so many times after gigs. Great tip :)

You're quite prepared Kris. You might want to put a strip of electrical tape or duct tape over your 9 volt battery terminals. If any metal surface (another battery) shorts across both terminals, it could get very hot.

Kris get some quick clot gauze from TACTREE, if anyone is badly cut you put it over or even into the gash and it stops the bleeding. It used to be a powder but surgeons hated it because it could take up to 2hrs to clean it out of the wound so it was developed as a gauze/sponge.. It is expensive abt £40 for 5 sealed packs but has a good shelf life. I take blood thinners so have a pack of even bigger ones in the car.

Defence spray? Really? When you're carrying a shovel? Paracord bracelet with a flint and steel you nothing about? Garden trowel from the Pound Shop? Survival Fishing kit but no map and compass? No loup? Nothing to use as markers? (Waist of) space blanket? No note book and pen? I could go on, but your kit choice looks like the stuff a wannabe carries because he's seen it on the internet....

    • @Addictedtobleeps
      @Addictedtobleeps  4 года назад +3

Peter Evans Worked fine for me the past ten years.
      Worked very fine Infact.
It’s ID spray. If you can’t see the difference between that and a shovel, I’d recommend looking up some wannabes videos on RUclips as you obviously don’t have a clue. Even more so as you have somehow talked yourself into thinking that’s a trowel from Poundland...
A lot of of your points are tenuous, and irrelevant to metal detecting. I’m taking that you’ve never detected in your life.
      Cheers.
