Story about Robbie's black eye is either:
1) He got into a fight with Jim
2) A car accident
3) A guy went to punch Jim for being a "hippie". Jim ducked, nailed Robby right in the eye.
All of these have been said by band members.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Once again...The Doors Видеоклипы
No lip syncing either...just pure talent.
Truth! Unlike most 60s singers live performance.
Dead right
You do realize that this was not "live", right?
@@dannylgriffin You do realize it was, right?
@@williamwilson6499 Absolutely not.
When aliens will ask me to introduce to them humans, This video will be the best choice
+morrisonien interesting choice m8
+morrisonien You guys realize David Bowie exists right?
+Duke David Bane david bowie is an alien.
So aliens will think that humans want physical contact with other gender more than anything else and that they easily make promises that they cannot be sure about keeping.
Sounds about right.
Dude, there's no way... The Doors are the Aliens !
I'm 3 years old and LOVE the Doors. Can't believe kids of my generation listen to "artists" like Nicki Minaj, blah blah. Can I have a few likes for being so young and listening to old music? Thanks.
+Omair Sheikh Yup, spot on man. That's basically the comment section on every classical song video.
+Zylan - Gaming videos More like the comments are full of people making fun of those comments
+Omair Sheikh Of course you are xDDDD
+Omair Sheikh Ha
3 years old? wow...you must have that genetically acceleration disorder.... you develop super fast :) lol I guess you meant 30? me too :)
there will never be another keyboardist like Ray RIP I think he brought a brilliant touch to the doors sound
I think he was the chief arranger on most of the songs. Loved his touch. Loved his story telling.
Dioniso and Apollo. Jim was Dioniso and Ray Apolo in sort of unforghtreble alkimia..
Is very hard, wen I think, now, Jim And Ray was in another dimention. Buth every time we play our music, come back, for ever and ever..
Beautiful man with a mesmerizing gaze and a deep, haunting voice.
Damn...those are nice words. You obviously feel it
The gaze? That's LSD
@@DJK-cq2uyThank you. ❤️
@@leftystevenson2436 Hard to say for certain, but, point taken.
That sax player is killing it
"Lawrence is good at piano... he's gonna rock in my show sha ga ga gaaaa" hahahaha
YOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! SoR
i can't listen to this song without thinking about jack black hahahah ra kakakaaaa
I almost hate to admit it but I always sing that to myself now when I hear this song!!! lol
I’d be lying if I said SoR wasn’t practically my intro point to classic rock 💀
I love the way this performance is a collaboration between two different types of musician and generations of musician yet the result is fantastic
Yes, absolutely. It's really quite breathtaking for the time. Beautiful.
They're studio musicians. They play with everyone. No "types".
what gorgeous looks \ voice !
haha he looks kinda wasted in this video.
Mike handgrenade
More than likely was.
This live performance never gets old. One of those unforgettable ones
The most gorgeous man who ever walked this earth, beautiful song
I agree. He is gorgeous beyond belief.
Jim Morrison is a fucking legend, this guy was simply amazing
❤❤❤
How can one not be unhealthily obsessed with him...he had it all, seductive brains, seductive beauty and seductive talent!
I really don't think there's any voice in this world that has more emotion and power than Jim Morrison's. R.I.P Mojo Risen the king of lizards.
+Sharu Thammanna how about David Gilmour?
+Sharu Thammanna I would call it an even tie with Jim, Early Robert Plant, and the raw power of Freddie Mercury. I will never say one is better than the other because they all bring a different and unique "thing" to their vocal style and frontman personas.
+Chris Nealis I'd throw the sir Paul McCartney into the mix too.
+Sharu Thammanna Frank Sinatra
Erm Meatloaf! David Coverdale! Ronnie James Dio, Jon Bon Jovi, Gary Moore fact is there are so many great singers with a tune or 2 that exhibit raw emotion to pick one is a travesty i love them all.
Such an amazing voice. He had so much charisma. It's nuts.
Visited a few countries in Europe a couple of weeks ago and made sure to visit Jim's resting place. It was a shame that out of all of the famous artists buried at that particular cemetery, his grave was the only one fenced off. Still a pleasure to be on those sacred grounds though! RIP you legend.
Love his voice - it was so beautiful, had such a richness in tone and was so versatile. Jim could sing so poetically and tender one moment @ 1:54 and then tear the roof off with raw sensuality the next - incredible power and control! He was an original and there will never be another like him.
This man was a God. RIP Jim, you're sorely missed.
What I love about this is older musicians and younger coming together to make beautiful music there was no generation gap there
I saw them in 68. Asbury Park NJ. Most awesome concert ever.
Happy birthday, jim...
Happy Birthday Genio!!!!
What makes this recording interesting is that at 1 min:08 Jim get's his Maraca mixed with the mic and it just shows how live and organic this amazing performance was .
Today July 3, 2023...52 years since this heavenly voice left us.
"I'm gonna love ya till the heavens stop the rain... "❤😢
Who can sing like JIM MORRISON. NO ONE.
Truth!
who could sing like frank sinatra. jim morrison.
the bigger question is what lead singer has the balls to shake a maraca when they aren't singing ? total dedication to the music, no concern whatsoever for 'looking cool'. probably why the doors have slowly, constantly grown on me year after year. (90's kid)
cam moses He's more of the rock and roll version of Sinatra, I see what you're saying though
Scott Strahp or Glen Danzig for one
real music right here
i agree hahaha i cant stand the stuff people call music nowadays
It's funny to see Jim not just 'behaving himself', but acting so.... cute. A choir boy ;)
Robbie's shiner spoils the mood a bit though ;))
i'm italian and i start to listen this when i have 1 years old. One word Fantastic
This clip is too good for humanity.
If USA have to be proud of someone, this someone has to be simply and only Jim Morrison, Cheers from Morocco ! !
EXACTO!
what a voice man!
Yeah!
Come on, come on, come on, come on
Now touch me, baby
Can't you see that I am not afraid?
What was that promise that you made?
Why won't you tell me what she said?
What was that promise that you made?
Now, I'm gonna love you
Till the heavens stop the rain
I'm gonna love you
Till the stars fall from the sky for you and I
Come on, come on, come on, come on
Now touch me, baby
Can't you see that I am not afraid?
What was that promise that you made?
Why won't you tell me what she said?
What was that promise that you made?
I'm gonna love you
Till the heavens stop the rain
I'm gonna love you
Till the stars fall from the sky for you and I

Lawrence is good at piano
+CanadianBacon School Of Rock LOL
What a song, what a band! If only you could back in time to the late 60's. When music peaked...
Just two words here: Pure Magic. Watching this wonderful performance brings me nostalgic happy memories of my youth. This is an absolute brilliant song, i love the key changes, the strings and horns and the amazing sax player. Jim Morrison's presence always commanded attention, Ray Manzarek's infections groovy keyboards, Robbie Krieger's black eye lol and John Densmore's latin shuffle beats. CLASSIC!
Great song, I love it!! And a real masterpiece, beyond compare, like any of their songs!! And such a great band, legends!! Real musicians that played real music that always got to your soul!, and that still gets to your soul today and forever!!
+Alice Stanescu Wow. As is true because lately do not speak of this great talented singer.
Yeah and no computers
love this song rip sweet dear jim x
Hi guys, I'm just 13 ,and I'm listening to The Doors
RIP Jim Morrison

+Drpepperlike so?
+Drpepperlike Cool story, bro. You should send that into your local newspaper and they might even publish it in their next issue because it is so interesting.
Same here
+Eighty / Active soon so most people from this generation don't listen to rock, let alone rock this old
I really like this song. Especially the way Jim Morrison sang it.Too nicely!! I love The Doors!!!
Daniela Leite Linda cançao. Eu amo músicas internacionais. Boa noite meu anjo.
Danilo Rodrigues Eu adoro!! Pra falar a verdade até mais que as brasileiras..Boa noite meu lindo..bjss
This video is one of few moments where Jim was totally lucid and not under the influence of drugs. This was the jazzy Morrison song. Jim was way ahead of his time with the type of music he and his band put out. They will continue to have a following.
Can't get much better than this. I love the Doors!!!
One of their best SONGS!
EXCELLENT BAND for our times, our generation, our people. Thank you so very much ,The Doors, for your style, lyrics, musicianship and fun. You were WONDERFUL!
So cool...these men all dress up and one brother playing it so cool
Lawrence is good at piano...
TheMoscardinoReviews he shall be rockin' in my show, ragagagaaaaa!
It's Ray Manzarek,idiot.
***** I'm a renal cunt
+TheMoscardinoReviews am dumbaba
+sesnaf faout your no movie fan
He had such electrical charged magnesium in his performances watching them forces you to have to see him live, he still has this over 40 years after Morrisons death, he will never lose that, he'll never lose an audience. 🔥🎼🎤🎸🎶🎻🎺🎷🎵🎧🎹
So do I ❤
Do you mean magnetism?
I saw the Doors in Philadelphia in '70 at the Spectrum. Unforgettable!! Miss the 'old days,' but also, now I'm old. Never thought I'd live this long...
Was at broad st at least one hundred shows miss the spectrum
I never realized the doors were that great until I really listened to the lyrics and did some research on Jims backstory he was truly a talented poet and songwriter he truly is s legend.
I just woke up from a dream with this song in it.
Specifically, I'd told some people in my dream that I wanted to go back to my room, get intoxicated, and listen to this album.
As we were about to head downstairs I started singing this song.
Amazing, Love the Horns. Classic. Magical keyboards.
INXS and The Doors, same awesome sounding music, different decades.
Hi to all! My name is Pauly. I'm from England. It's so heartwarming to see all of the nice positive things that my fellow brothers and sisters from all over the world have to say, about The doors. I'm 57 years old. unfortunately, I never was able to see The Doors play live. But, I have all of their albums and quite a few DVDs. Check this out...I have two large framed posters of Jim in my living room; how sad is that...ha ha. The Doors were, and still are one of the greatest bands ever to have existed. That's my humble opinion. The utter mediocrity, vacuity and utter banality of todays so-called beggars belief, it really does. Peace and friendship to you all. Pauly.
Like he’s hair and the music is amazing, timeless !
I love seeing non-hd non-edited Jim/Doors. So authentic. A fantastic band.
The sixties had some awsome music.
Curtis Amy solo 2:15......absolute classic. I think its sad that the Doors / Morrison took flack for "selling out" with this song. It is actually somewhat groundbreaking for rock. The orchestration, the rideout / jazz solo by Mr. Curtis Amy. Brilliant in its own right.
i never get tired of this song, love it.
Just a perfect song, in my minds eye this must stand as something truly wonderous and beautiful, this live performance by all the players stands forever more, my words wander but not the depth of regard and appreciation for these performers from time to today, nothing can better this
I'm 19 years old! But hey, my generation!!! This is music! I really FUCKIN love it!!
Thank you for posting this brother. Jim Morrison is at the peak of his creative powers here and looks like a young god. Fantastic!
I remember watching that Back in the Day! I was 13... Mom watched it too. The U.S. had had a couple of messy years, and she had no use for those hippie types, but felt duty-bound to monitor what we kids watched.
And Jims father said Jim had no talet for singing? wrong
His father just loved to demean him even when his son was dead
I know right
I just watched something where his father was saying good things. Where did this come from? Jim
He had the most delicious baritone voice.
i always loved the mess up at 1:10 or so.......it was epic JIM!!
Это неповторимо!Джим!,,ДОРЗ,,не во времени!Были,есть и будут,!больше полвека слушаем,наслаждаемся великолепным звуком!высший класс!в моем сердце!👍🔥♥️🎤💎

I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO CAME HERE FROM SCHOOL OF ROCK!!!
+Lucy O'Donoghue Def not.
Wish I could have seen them live. One of my all-time favs. Another light that was snuffed out too soon.
i am NOT a big DOORS fan but this performance is simply GENIUS..A GEM.
Tripping his face off 🤣 The Best Era of Music ❤
The whole set-up of the band and orchestra is so perfect. It's fun to watch and an instant classic. Plus, I love the life that comes across in the song.
I'm 18 and love the Doors!
fuck you then congrats
plz im 16
is it wierd if im 14 and i love but i mean LOVE ! Classic rock?
Not at all cuz I'm the same way and age
Dorian Vargas yeah, i really think the same, the fact of being young and listening to this dont make you a different person, this music is still amazing!
fuck me , you made me quite
The Doors are just too good, its incomprehensible
It's a good thing cuz it means we (the young generation) might be able to put stuff like this back on top again
Fantastic performance by Morrison and company! And that sax man is killing it at the end! 2:20
The Doors! Maybe the greatest band that ever played music! Real soul!real guts!real life!real magic! I was luck to have seen them play in Asbury Park Nj. I think it was 1969! When the did (We want the world now and we want it now) Jim took off his leather coat and put his cigarette out on it.What a amazing show!
Sexiest man that ever lived!!! And what a voice, Jim Morrison one and only
the song was actualy supposed to be called hit me but jim morison thought the audience would try to hit him so it was changed to touch me
I saw this performance on TV while in my young teens, and thought it was the most electrifying song I'd ever heard
perfect to me!!! i can feel the love again
♥️🖤
The Doors would blow any rock/rap band out of the water today , just that sensational and this is one of their greatest numbers and who'd ever believe that such a brilliant hunk would come out of the empty no culture swamp that is Florida
I just started listening to the doors... amazing
Fantastic that is the right Word. I have listning to The Doors fore near 30 years! Some of the best Music!
I miss him, and I was 2 when he died.
I miss him 2...and I wasn't even born...RIP Jim.
Great song really gets in the soul.
One of the Best songs of The Doors
Absolutely amazing!
Jim was such a brilliant person... Please, could anyone here bring Jim back?
Thanks
TheHalliday123456789 jim still here
Jim Morrison looks like Val Kilmer, who ironically play Jim in The Doors movie. The song also sounds like one that Frank Sinatra would perform.
+live4marilyn val kilmar looked like JIm, that's why he played him. and Jim was a huge Sinatra fan.
+live4marilyn DUH... Val Kilmer resembled Jim Morrison
+histatimaniples - fuck val kilmer anyway
That's not really ironic
+KITTYKISSIS WHITE RACE NUMBER ONE GERMAN AMERICAN I'm just saying that it makes sense that the people in charge of casting would pick an actor who looks like Jim Morrison. I don't know what you consider "ironic" about that
I will never look at a door the same way again...what a great voice and song....
Saw it Dec 15th 1968--never get tired of it.
Camom cmom no tchotchi baby eu cantando kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk Brasil varonil quase indo pra pqp kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
I'm gonna love you till the heaven stops the rain
I'm gonna love you till the stars fall from the sky...
for you and I !
There is a reason why time CANT NOT STOP.....we need awesome memories....I will never stop loving them! Namaste.
Not only is Ray Manzarek playing two instruments at the same time. Organ and piano Bass. Ray also is conducting the horn players giving them their cues!! Notice at 1:40 we see Ray doing all three. Incredible performance. Absolutely freaking awesome. !!!
genialny kawalek , wysoka klasa .
He was a very erothic singer and he knew it...
Settle down
This song is stuck in my head
Straight out of left field for this band, but it proved just how versatile Morrison and the guys were. Great song.
mi gran infancia
en unos minutos
gracias a mis padres por dejarme esta hermosa sensación de buena música
+Yazmin Casas good
Mise en scène et interprétation impeccables : Un pur plaisir...
In 1997 rock historian Brett Meisner took a photo of Jim Morrisons grave in Paris, France and captured a full body apparition of Jim’s spirit that is authentic.
Feliz dia do rock.
