REALLY liked seeing this. It would have been nice if you described how you were building the arms of the chair. It was hard for me to understand what you were doing. But great rendition of the Morris chair. Great picture you found a sample to work from too!!

I’m trying to create a perspective trick in a model, similar to some sidewalk chalk artists. Anamorphic projection is the technical term for these effects. The “project textures from photo” command seems really promising as a way to accomplish my goal. The challenge is to size the photo, if there were a way to scale that image to suit my model I’d be home free. Thanks very much for your videos, been a huge help!
If you can assist me with this challenge I would be even more grateful. 🙏

I liked the video but I would've really benefited from knowing how you made all the shapes in the model rather than fast forwarding through to the end. Is there another video that explains how to make these various arcs and contours?

Great video Justin! You can use the default model to scale your foto (blue axes) and then delete it :-)

I have a chair that I have deconstructed and made paper patterns for each of the nine pieces it is comprised of. Is there any way to get those patterns into Sketchup? They are all curvy so measuring them and getting the curves exactly right is tedious.

Can I orbit the camera if there is something behind the chair that I need to draw ?? or I need to match new photo again ?thx

Sure - just drag the blue marker up or down when you're first setting it up

What is the 'round corner' extension you are using for the seat cushion? I've tried looking it up and am unable to find it.

Here you go Whitney - ruclips.net/video/36myjGh1iGw/видео.html - Most of the tutorials should have a link where you can download the extension - thanks!
