    Good advice. Maybe do a follow-up video showing how to use match photo(s) when more than one photo shows different views of the same building? And ditto for a room?

    I always struggle with this feature when applying it to new models. Watching this video made things clearer! Thanks for the video Aaron and the SketchUp guys!

    I need to go through and check your library of videos, but do you offer an up to date back to basics SketchUp course that incorporates the current version? I see many how to's on the RUclips but most of them are way out of date.

      for training you would be best served by checking out learn.sketchup.com. There you can find structured training for SketchUp for Desktop. Most of our videos on RUclips aim to give existing users a little lesson once or twice per week.

    I love watching you model with match photo Aaron, you should do more on the live stream like the cyberpunk apartment model.

      Indeed, that apartment modeling session is one of my favorites. I'd love to see more multi-image match photo examples like the cyberpunk apartment. Even this utility shed, with a proper photo from each corner, would be fun and educational to see.

    Match Photo in SketchUp has been around for a decade, but have there been any updates to the SketchUp UI that make modeling from photo matching easier? If so, please make an updated tutorial video on it and it have to be Aoron who does the tutorial.. thanks

      Well we have a team of people so if you're open to learning from more than just Aaron, we just launched a course on SketchUp Campus on modeling from just reference imagery only - learn.sketchup.com/courses/arch-reference

    Maybe dragging the lines to the edge of the roof isn’t the best idea as the roof will have a slope to it.
    Might be more accurate to use the top of the door and the window.
    That shed looks very British! I’ve never seen pebbledash render in the US.

    Maybe critical, but the shadow in the roof “overhang” interfering with your proper line set?

    • @aarondietzen2995
      @aarondietzen2995 Год назад

      Probably not. I would most likely use the top of the roof and the bottom of the wall… that shadow should not make a difference!

    CAN I MOVE MATCH PHOTO IMAGE SIR?

    • @SketchUp
      @SketchUp  5 месяцев назад

      Match Photo fits to the exact perspective from where the photo was taken. If you change the view, it won't match that perspective any longer, so the photo disappears.
      You can get back to the view with the photo if you go to the Scene that Match Photo creates.
