The first time I rode I was 8. I’ve probably had 50 hours of riding over a span of 6 years. Mind you I can walk, trot, canter, gallop, jump. I’m training to become a horse coach to teach at a farm near me. So that I can afford to get a horse. You are so lucky Ella!

normally you choose the saddle depending on what kind of discipline you plan on doing, BUT that's only a minor factor, because then you have to make sure that the saddle fits properly, so the saddle i used was a Wintec 2000 GP (general purpose) and it had an adjustable size so i could take out / replace the piece that fits depending on how wide your horse is :)) but it varies for every horse... and yes for some horses you can ask the seller what saddle the horse is used to and base it off that-- hope this helped

i wouldnt advise a friesian as your first horse… they have a very special temperament and the smallest thing can make them emotional, they’re cery sensitive physically and mentally so I wouldn’t advise having a friesian in the beginning
U need to make sure your horse has enough water when in the trailer that was sad to see and h need to make multiple breaks throughout the trip to make sure they get stretched and aren't uncomfortable
@@Urfavcocolife yes! 100% we took multiple breaks and we had this massive water dispenser in the car boot and a bucket, i didnt show it in the video because i couldnt record myself giving water aswell as recording for the video 😊

trust your gut, if you think somethings right or wrong- follow it, and alot of ppl say " oh never buy the horse you first try" and its not necessarily true, it simply depends on what youre looking for and if that horse is for you- but its not a bad thing to try alot of horses at the same time, you can always go back to the first one if that's the one you feel you want :) hope this helped!!!
Well to be completely honest we don’t have any and I don’t feel it’s necessary for her understandably for horses that have more delicate legs you can use it , but I personally dont use them just cuz i never really thought of them or have any haha 😂😂

Well before there was a dapple grey called Max who was a loan horse and then there is Era and Etessian Era is my dads horse and for about 5 months Etessian was sort of my horse but i had problems with her and i wasnt old enough obviously to take care of her so my dad took her back ( Era we didnt have when Etessian was mine because we still had Etessian’s mother who sadly died so we had to buy era so that Etessian wasnt alone )

Well for me daily i need to feed them in the mornings muck out and feed them in the evenings i check on them everyday also since they live in my garden but if they were up at a field i would also check on them daily aswel as if they were at a stable ( Yard) i wouldnt have to check as much or feed them myself but i would definitely go up just to say hello
I don't like stables because of its like a jail for a horse and they are safer in pasture because if a strom comes and a tree falls on the stable horses most likely can't get out if a tree falls in pasture they have a chance of running and horses would rather be in pasture some horses maybe was born in a stable so they rather be in a stable or if it has rain rot issues
Actually I’ve been asking for a very long time already since about seven and I have made so many PowerPoint presentations on why I should be allowed to have my own horse, my parents didn’t agree to it i’m not quite sure what convince them but eventually I just kept on asking and asking because my riding lessons had been going badly because my teacher wasn’t there so i couldnt ride . The stables where I live are also really expensive you have to pay around 200 euros per month in advance for the lessons which is ridiculous so my dad was then thinking about it and we started looking for a horsse not really important but just browsing sort of , i then found Claque and she was a really good price , and a good age and height etc … i went to try her and fell in love with her . I also heard on the way home when i was supposed to be asleep and my dad saud he thought it was a good horse and a good idea but my mum wasn’t convinced , my dad said that it’s either now or never because if I get a horse when I’m older I won’t have time free in case of school whereas now is a good time as im not in a HIGH level of school so it would also teach me a form of responsibility so that’s sort of it. I think there’s more to it but that’s how it went from my point of view

No problem for the question 😊😂Welll if you get one that already part of the work snd if you get 2 its mot much extra work, say along the lines perhaps that if there are two first off it keeps the other one company, what mostly happened was my dad talked to my mum and he convinced her , i also was REALLY helpful for about a week i was helping my mum alot to win her over.In the end she wasn’t so convinced but she’s sorted just said okay will get it but don’t say I didn’t warn you if something goes bad or if Ella doesnt take care of the horse. 😊 hope that helped.Feel free to ask Any more questions

Get one when you move out.” I’m now 11 and getting a pony in April-may 2025! Dreams come true, don’t nag your parents. They will realise one day.

No problem for the question 😊😂Welll if you get one that already part of the work snd if you get 2 its mot much extra work, say along the lines perhaps that if there are two first off it keeps the other one company, what mostly happened was my dad talked to my mum and he convinced her , i also was REALLY helpful for about a week i was helping my mum alot to win her over.In the end she wasn’t so convinced but she’s sorted just said okay will get it but don’t say I didn’t warn you if something goes bad or if Ella doesnt take care of the horse. 😊 hope that helped.Feel free to ask Any more questions

Make a list with what you need
Always ask to tack up the horse your self when try out
Make sure to have the stable ready for it
Always be sure the tack fit them. Hope I helped
Definitely don’t just try one horse because for example for me i had no experience in what to look for in a horse and the horse you might THINK is perfect might actually not be

@@RealIslaKayyusually parents just lie. My parents (non horsey. Only my mum used to take riding lessons when she was younger but she stopped after a little bit) ALWAYS used to say “there’s no chance. Get one when you move out.” I’m now 11 and getting a pony in April-may 2025! Dreams come true, don’t nag your parents. They will realise one day.
