You also know EXACTLY the feelings of relief and euphoria as he rolled across the bottom. It's one of the cornerstones of skateboarding. And PS: I'm in my 50's. I started skateboarding in 1977 and I still think it is the coolest thing ever on the face of the planet. Period.
I built a half pipe (not quite vert) for my nephews bday… I had no money but had the tools, time and his dad covered the lumber costs. I coached the 8yr old on dropping in for 15 mins and he couldn’t get it but was getting close. The 5 yr old crawled up and dropped in behind us as I gave a pep talk to the older brother! Kids can be fearless! Sometimes I think we instill more fear in children rather than courage. Way to go here! We were all watching this and cheering him on with you… AND being inspired by your voice!
At the end too that guy hitting his board that's a way to show a skater loves your trick or what you js did on your board you don't see many skaters like that nowadays ❤
The kid wanted it bad. I love how unlike many other sports, the encouragement and tips that people who have no business really for the kid and what he is trying. But they want to see others succeed and overcome challenges. Beautiful family or community a skateboard can bring together.

I'm 49...In my skating days, aside from low garden mini ramps, I could never commit and drop any bowls or large ramps. I pretended that it wasn't my thing and that I preferred flat. (don't think anyone ever bought it, just a dumb way to save my pride...). Props to the dad for encouraging and hyping his kid up.
