The Headless Horseman song is an old classic.
My family has sort of a tradition where we watch "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" after going trick-or-treating on Halloween every year
And it's not on Spotify:/
@@vocaloid2263 That's an awesome tradition! I have to watch that every Halloween too!
A great cover of the Headless Horseman Song is done by Geoff Castelluci.
Agreed
Nat King Cole, what an absolute stud. The voice of my childhood Christmases, his voice just brings happiness with it. Like hearing from an old long lost friend
This is so perfect to listen to while carving pumpkins in candlelight!
punky the pumpkin = frosty the snowman
@Frizzurd You could say its.... candy corny... heheh.
It must be creepy being a snowman. I mean your made of snow therefore snow is your flesh and there is snow falling all around you.
was just gonna say the same thing
@Chris Carson pumpkin pie beverages are the best 🌟
Huey,, Dewey and Louie.
Thanks for labeling the songs as they came up. Sometimes it's hard to track down one song in one of these videos.
Its not officially October/Halloween until i hear Headless Horseman by Crosby.
Right!? I have to kick off the season with The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow!
Happy spooktober everybody ^^
👻
🎃
🐺
Thank you 👻
Happy Fall-o-Ween.
When I was 4, I saw "the old mill" for the first time.
It was most responsible for me accepting the goth lifestyle when I got into my teens.
Now here I am, 55 and still a goth.
Pretty good cartoon.
Punky Punkin has such a big Christmas feel
What a beautiful smile Nat King Cole had-and he could sing a little too.
The autumn equinox has passed, which means it's time for me to start listening to these Halloween playlists. Yay!
not excited for the winter solstice :( wish it could stay fall longer
Happy equinox and blessed harvest. 🌟 🌟
It’s 23F ha ha yep cold AF and 2 months early even for Minneapolis! Yet I’m in high spirits as we’re going to a real speakeasy and haunted history tour! 👻👻 where we swing dance for years and first time I get to do the full tour.
What you doing for autumn 🍂 or Halloween 🎃 crafts, projects?
@@Timetravel1111 We're in St Paul, haha, It has been very cold very early this year! Happy Autumn, almost winter. :)
Me: has volume at 100% with earbuds in
Beginning of video: want a break from hearing? *loud ass lightning noise*
I love the bittersweet autumn ballads from the 40s. So nice on a cool late October day.
These playlists are devilishly delightful 💀
loved the headless horse man animation, pretty cool
It's a whole Disney movie if you're interested!
Haley Pickett Well, half of one… 😉
That's been one of my favorite Halloween stories. Along with "Something Wicked This Way Comes"
Don’t make ‘em like that anymore!
Wow.. Rosemary Clooney got me all teary-eyed
I use to sing Punky Punkin when I was a kid!!! Man I was so happy to find this. Thank you! " he's a jack-o-lantern instead of being a pumpkin pie." HAHHA
This was an excellent collection of songs and video clips that fit perfectly. Even the addition of Hitchcock's "The Trouble with Harry" was a nice touch.
My grandparents came to America at the right time cause this was the kind of music you could listen to.
I'm listening to this in June and all of these songs are still banging
Happy pride month!!! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
I feel like the only millenial who grew up on this stuff. It's so nostalgic and nice. It reminds me of my grandpa turning on the radio in his old station wagon. You know, those huge boat-size ones from the 1970s with the beige colors. And we would just go on errands or visit pumpkin patches or drive around to see the Christmas lights. This playlist just took me down a really nice trip down memory lane. Thanks for the upload! I'm going to go call my grandpa now 😄
Actually, you're not the only one! I remember catching old songs on the Disney Channel during the fall/Halloween season and old movies watched on the AMC channel and rented back when video stores were a thing. I remember the 1st time I heard the "Monster Mash"!! Loved it. I grew up on a ton of old movies and retro music because that's what my family loved. In turn, I became a fan! I'm an 80s born millennial and have become a tremendous fan of all these vintage treasures. We're a small group but I feel we help keep the appreciation of this content alive. :)
I grew up with it to my grandparents would sit in living room and listen to it.
Thanks for uploading this👍 The Headless Horseman is definitely my favorite. Loved that version of Ichabod Crane as a kid. Have it on blu-ray, and watch it with my daughters every year.
This is amazing ! Thank you
Rosemary had such a unique voice.
She had a lovely voice!
I love the fact that you give us the dates when these tunes were recorded/first time broadcasted. Thanks!
I am all but alone on Holloween night, but now I can view these great videis with these wonderful songs along with some spooky and romantic ghostly guests on this night.
This is a terrific compilation of music and film clips. Thanks! "Who's Yehoodi?" -- Cab Calloway and orchestra
Ahhh...Nat King Cole 💓. He has such an amazing voice.
His voice amazes me!
Nat Cole is my favorite singer. I love his gorgeous, distinctive voice.
OMG I love Halloween & autumn and vintage music and this is EXACTLY my jam, best recommendation in a while 🧡🦇
Halloween and Autumn are the best time of year! ;-)
Another great vintage spooky song is “She’s my Witch” by Kip Tyler ! One of my favs I listen to every October 🍁 🎃
Didn t he have another " witch" or spooky type hit ?
Jim Fritz not for sure ! Have to look into it :)
@@alexandriageiler687 He had something called " THE GOBLIN TROT" .
Nice! Thanks for the recommendation!
What a great bonus you got fun, movies, and videos that you found in the background to go with the music that’s a lot of work. And I really appreciate it… so funny with the scary ways that they had back in the 1930s 40s
I wasn't expecting the cartoon accompanying the Yodling Ghost song. That was pretty cool.
This is perfect! Thank-you for some wonderful entertainment on this first day of autumn 2019.
Love this video. The music is fantastic. Love Bob hope. Those were special days music and movies.
I LOVE THE CLASSIC 🍃🎃👻🍂 THANK YOU FOR HAVING SHARED BEAUTIFUL MUSIC ❤
Just putting myself in that Halloween feeling you know ☺️🎃
Visualized playlist is a real blast.
Loved the vintage movie clips and much younger versions of Bob Hope and Shirley McClain. The vintage cartoons were great, too. Takes me back to my childhood!
This is the best halloween Playlist because of the added visuals! 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃

I'm in love with this playlist!
Absolutely love the music and videos. Thank you for putting this playlist together ❤ 🍁🎃
I love this era of music for Halloween
Yes!!! The spooky, jazzy Halloween tunes from the 1920s and 30s are another gem of a vintage era. There are some great 20s/30s playlists you should check out, they're abundant on YT! 😀
That loud thunder at the end jump scared me
This is amazing 👏 🙌
These songs are gorgeous and the accompanying videos are precious.
I love the song/video combo! As always, great job!
This is perfect to listen/watch while making Halloween props! :-)
This is an awesome compilation of videos and songs. My compliments to you!
There were other songs that can fit Halloween such as The Monster Mash by Bobby Boris 1961, Jim Stanford had Swamp With in 1971, Redbone has The Witch Queen of New Orleans 1971, there’s Thriller by Michael Jackson 1983 which late Vincent Price speaking words it it, Vincent Price was to me Mr. Halloween himself.
Songs are great, but the videos are just as good. Thank you.
Why did you say but? You only say that in a sentence, mostly when the other thing isn't as good.
@@jezzbeary fr
he could've just said "and" the videos are just as good
Oh hell yass two things I love most are Halloween, gothic and history, vintage. That's technically 4 things but I don't care
Yassss
Those are all fantastic things!
Love the visuals from "The Trouble with Harry". One of my all time favorites! Thanks for the playlist. Listening to your playlists while putting together a Halloween themed jigsaw puzzle with my special needs brother-in-law has been enjoyable for the both of us!
Great mix! Thank you so much. 😊👍🏽 🎃
Thank you for the compilation.

Why thank you!
Lindsay Koski No really this seems very time consuming to do for all these decades so I commend you
They are a labor of love and it makes it all worth it to know they are appreciated!
Great playlist and video. I was also listening to this around Samhain/Halloween.
Perfect Halloween
This is so damn cool!
Great!
An awesome mix. I’m in bed listening to this at 6:30 am. Thank you.
Some of these songs don't sound scary. Most of them sound like Beautiful old songs.
Right
Sometimes, it's all about the atmosphere and not scary music.
Maybe it would help if you listen to the lyrics.
The first thing that’s scary is that guys eyebrows I mean honestly he’s got the biggest unibrow I’ve ever seen. I think he was supposed to be like very handsome and a lot of people thought he was good looking maybe they thought the one unibrow would make him look scarier?! Lol
She sings about a potion 🧪 in first song.
16 people gave it a thumbs down. 16 are just wrong. That is all.
🎯
Artemis Moon no it’s just that there evil and hate classic songs
They accidentally clicked the wrong button because of all the dancing spooks.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Thanks for this playlist
I watched this before bed once and I didn't get any sleep because the songs were playing in my head for the whole night.
Haunted Heart is my favorite. It's a sweet little love song.
I absolutely adore this playlist! It's so fun😄👻
thank you for this
