Hi Josh. Your videos are super informative, which is why I always come to this channel. Not sure if you got a chance to read my comment last week. I was wondering if you could do a video about how to wire/install a door-bell. There are many types of doorbells, both video, and just a regular push button so if you did, could you show how to wire both?
Great video I'm gonna put a short section up for my uncle who is sick and this video helped a lot.Do you have a video showing the install of an inside corner also?
1 Always install gutter behind the edge metal . 2 slam 1 end and pitch appropriately or if 2 downspouts slam the middle and pitch to downspout locations. As someone who has been hanging gutter for over 50 years to much to say so I won't. Best of luck with your projects. 😊
The inside of that gutter hole looks better than the outside because the flange cover the cutout. I wonder if they sell better kits that hide the cut metal on the outside. Or is there another step coming up later to hide it? Another great tutorial.
Here's a Hack for ya! Place a level in the gutter and you won't need to snap a line and you know the water will flow in the direction you want. What if your fascia isn't level? or the foundation has heaved?? Your gutter will hold water and become a breeding ground for mosquitos at best, at worst it'll leak into the house and cause major damage. With B elbow's measure the soffit overhang back to the house that's length of pipe you want to cut. With 3 x 4 A elbows subtract 8 inches from your measurement. (6" if you're using 2x3) In a climate with snow, you absolutely want to have the gutter behind the drip edge, or you'll have water/ ice running between the gutter and fascia. If it's a shingled roof you want the gutter behind the drip edge if you don't have at least a 1/2" of shingle past the drip edge the water WILL run between the gutter and fascia. PRO TIP: big box store products (1 star would not recommend) are very flimsy compared to the products a professional seamless gutter installer will be using and no warranty. With gutter you absolutely get what you pay for.
Hey Josh another great video! Can you cover the slanted facia type installation My carpenter didn’t let me know he wasn’t going to make the facia plumb ( very frustrating) he said they make gutters for this type!
Lowes or Home Depot carries the material. Whichever one you prefer will be fine. I placed links and description if you’re interested in getting it from Lowe’s. Hope that helps!
Constructive criticism. If possible, I'd have used seamless gutter and crimped the endcaps. Would be stronger, nicer looking, and have less of a likelihood of leaking over time.
When the water is coming off the edge of the roof, it’s going to go into the guttering. Any water that splashes onto the drip edge will still not come in contact with any wood. I hope that helps!
Hi, nice video! I’d love to sponsor you a smart irrigation controller that can handle all your watering tasks via an app. Would you be interested? Just provide honest feedback.
Thank you. I followed your video almost step by step and was successful.
Josh, you're a very good teacher. Thanks.
Good to watch and learn! Thanks for sharing! And keep up the great content! 👌👍
Thanks for stopping by again! You are welcome. I plan on releasing several videos this month so stay tuned. Good luck with your projects as well!

Hey! Yes, I did see that comment and I’m actually trying to figure out the best approach to make that video. Stay tuned!
Thank you Sir for the great video, it help me a lot when doing the down spout.

Very informative information I will be doing that myself as soon as I can get me a good ladder and I will try not to fall off the thing 😂
Glad you found it helpful! Make sure you use a safe ladder and I’m sure you’ll do a fine job. Thanks for watching!
another awesome video!
I appreciate that! Thank you 🙏
By joining your “community” (not sure what to call it), are we able to ask you questions about our build? Your channel is great and very helpful
Thank you my man
Sure, I’m glad I can help!

Nice job, still you need to do video installing Mr steam for shower steam and shluther ditra heat floor,
Thanks
Great video. Did you have a drip edge there and did your gutters go below or on the drip edge?
Thank u 🙏
Do you recommend 6 inch or 5 inch for 1800 sqft house?
And where do you recommend getting materials from?
Lowes or Home Depot carries the material. Whichever one you prefer will be fine. I placed links and description if you’re interested in getting it from Lowe’s. Hope that helps!
Pretty simple when it’s a ranch style straight shot.
You are correct! That is part of the reason why I like to build ranch style houses, they are usually pretty straightforward. Thanks for stopping by!
My ranch house has lots of turns in and out, meaning, LOTS of cuts of small pieces. It may be easier, but it sure is tedious!
Are you not supposed to slide it under the drip edge?
How are you see please can you show basement bathroom plaming thanks
I need gutters….and I need to save $$$ ❤
Great! Doing the gutters yourself will definitely save you a lot of money. Good luck with your project!
@@TheExcellentLaborer thanks to your video I will, Sir!

Oh yes! Seamless is much better than making joints. Thanks for watching!
🤝
Thanks for watching!
Why wouldn’t you install the gutter behind the drip edge off the roof?
When the water is coming off the edge of the roof, it’s going to go into the guttering. Any water that splashes onto the drip edge will still not come in contact with any wood. I hope that helps!
