- Ashley and I took a walk through Berlin Maryland checking out what's new and what has changed. This awesome small town is only minutes away from Ocean City Maryland and is well worth a trip to check it out for an afternoon after the beach. Shoping, dining and Burley Oak Brewing Company....you can't go wrong!

Hey guy's thanks for the walking tour of Berlin brings back memories from the early 90's when I lived in OP. The movie Runaway Bride was filmed there and the only thing I saw that was in the movie was the Atlantic Hotel. The hair salon they used was my barber shop that was about ware the Made in Berlin store was. On the point across from the Atlantic was a dinner they used. Berlin was a neat town but it is way different today but still cool with all the restuants. It's amazing how that area has changed, even OC has changed, same buildings but just different names. Thanks again.

I took my wife there a few years ago. Very nice town and we both liked the shops.
If you like sour beers, then Burley Oak is a must visit. In my 15ish days a year I get to spend in the OCMD area, I make at least 2-3 stops there. Sinepuxent Brewing is another great spot that is a wonderful visit on a nice day.
We LOVE Sinepuxent! I did some clamming videos at Assateague and on the way back we would stop there.
Nice video Jay. I could tell it was cold. There was no one on the street. Usually there are people walking through town.

Have you ever gone to , or taken the kids to , Jeffrey Auxer Studio ? LOVE his shop, and you can blow your own glass ornaments. I have a couple of his pieces, and his glass work at the Art League is amazing. I could spend a whole day just browsing all the fun shops in Berlin. Another fun video .

Mandala's Pies in Berlin has an excellent Key Lime Pie called The Floridian.
X2 on Burley Oak. My son makes me stop there and goes in and buys a few 4packs. We like Tiki Tim's, great place to stop in for a drink. Hours are spotty and change without notice.

Berlin is awesome. We just did the yearly parade there yesterday for opening day of baseball. The town offers a whole lot!

We tried Pops Kitchen and its a great place- food was very good- The Mandala Pie shop IS AMAZING-
The Christmas Tree Lighting/Block Party is worth it for anyone who thought about going-
Jay - the World of Toys shop, for some reason that toy store in Snow Hill reminds me of the toy store that was in the World of Toys shop- could it be a spin off of the old Berlin store?
You have that NY blood HAHA At 50 degrees the winter hats come out here! I think there is a spin off of the toy store- Toy Town used to be there before they moved to Snow Hill. When they moved World Of Toys took over the space.
Oh I really like the Uptown Emporium as well. A lot of interesting and unique items.
Yeah! It's a very fun place to shop! Both old and new things.

The Sotheby's folks are real nice, Grace was our realtor there. You might just pop in and ask if they know about where the gas station was, many of them are locals or have been visiting OC for a long time. Definitely looks like it could have had pumps with that awning in front.

lol,Jay, I’ve told you a couple times how good that Capts. Slice is 😂😂😂. Fun video, but you guys are crazy walking around in that weather🥶🥶🥶 BTW Mandala makes killer pies. I especially love their key lime. Pretty much the best I ever had. 👍👍
We tried Mandalas just after the shutdowns were ending, but we tried the Vienna location. It was, quite honestly, awful. Completely unedible. We bought an apple pie that was so stale you couldnt cut into it. It was literally a rock. We haven't been back since, but maybe we'll try to Berlin shop. We never brought up our experience on video because we're pretty sure reopening after the shutdown was a lot to adjust to. I remember you saying about the pizza place, I guess I never put 2 and 2 together! HAHA
AReelJayB Wow. That a drag. But I do think you would find a different experience now. Never have had anything that wasn't great and like I was saying, the key lime (if you like that) is fantastic. And yeah, I don't expect you to remember everything that gets posted in the comments lol. One comment about Captains Slice, the pizza is kind of an artisan thing, so I don't know if that is up your or your kids alley. They do have a regular cheese pizza though IIRC. Good stuff for sure!

Ah, the little town of Berlin! I used to roam those streets for years going to the antique stores, the bakery which I liked the cream puffs, the festivals, car shows, parades! It was fun. Wainwrights is where I took my car at. I actually went into the Mermaid Museum and did a video about it. lol Did you guys ever go there? That is a cool Toy Store. So I know one of the stores which I think was the pizza place was a train store and the other store next to the Tea Shop was a weird hippie store. lol From 2007-2022 I never saw a gas station there. Finally how can you forget about the movie that was filmed there, Runaway Bride which I did 2 videos about it. One was my filming location vlog and the other was the tour I did.
We never made it to the Mermaid Museum, is it any good? We usually only go to Berlin a few times a year- Halloween and Christmas....my kids have the Berlin little league baseball parade there too. For some reason I always forget about Runaway Bride. Now that you mention the hippie store I definitely remember it there!

Reeljay, have you been to the Sterling Tavern in Berlin? If not, put it on your list. Food is excellent as well as the atmosphere and drinks.
We'll have to give it a shot sometime, thanks for the tip! When they were Fins Alehouse we ate there a few times and really enjoyed it.
I was just checking the comments to be sure someone mentioned the Sterling Tavern, it's a must! The owners are great people! My niece has a drawing on display at the foot of the stairs. It's one of my favorite places to go when we get to spend time at home at the shore!

You went to fast .didn't tell store names in order to see the town also no rout numbers or street names you should just drive around for as fast as you went.I will be going to ocean city for spring fest and watched your video for info but got none. Slowdown? So we are able to enjoy your videos have in the past watched them but I am sorry I didn't learn much
Sorry, it was only meant to be a quick tour. I try to keep my videos within a certain time length. Showing every store would be pretty difficult.
