How to Transit at Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Airport - Connecting Flight

    Flights on separate PNR/ ticket itinerary
    After disembarking your aircraft, follow the signs to Arrivals. Make sure you comply with Philippine entry requirements and safety protocols. Register for eTravel and get a QR code. you will have to clear immigration to collect your baggage and go through customs.
    Proceed to Departures, check in again, go through the immigration and security check before heading to your boarding gate.
    To board a connecting flight, you should refer to the gate information printed on your boarding pass or on the flight information display system, which will direct you to the designated gate for your flight. Make sure you are in the correct terminal.

    If both of your flights are with Philippine Airlines or part of a single-ticket itinerary with another airline, Free shuttle services between terminals 1 and 2 are provided, airside.
    For transfers involving different airline under a separate ticket,
    other terminals, Terminal 3 and 4, Manila International Airport Authority, MIAA offers free shuttle services, landside. Depending on your luggage and who you are travelling with, you can opt for a taxi or e-hailing service to get to another terminal for added convenience.

    it is important to note that even if your bags are checked through, you may still need to collect your luggage, have them cleared by customs, and then drop them off at the domestic transfer desk. The bags will then be transported and loaded onto your connecting domestic flight.
    If the connecting flight is at another terminal, you can take the shuttle bus to get there. For a domestic flight booked on a different ticket or PNR, proceed to the Departure Area. Check in and get your boarding pass. Enter through the domestic entrance, undergo security screening, proceed to the boarding gate, and await the boarding call.

    If your checked bags are checked-through and you are not traveling to Australia, your bags will be automatically transferred to your departing flight.
    Passengers with connecting flights to Australia, even if baggage are checked through, must claim their baggage and undergo additional security checks upon arrival in Manila at the Baggage Screening Area. These are additional government requirements.
    Exit the Domestic Arrival Area. Proceed to the International Departure Area and Undergo Security Screening. Head to Immigration Gate before boarding your international connecting flight.

    Hi! Travelling to Philippines Xmas time, just wondering if I arrive from an international flight in Manila terminal 1, then I board a domestic flight with a different ticket from a different airline, is a 4 hour layover enough? And which route in the video do I follow?

    If we flight with the same airlines, do we need claim baggage when we transit? And then check in again, or the baggage will be automatically transfer to the next flight?

      Hi, usually if your flights on a single PNR, you don't need to claim your baggage and check in again, and will be sent to the final destination.
