Lmao my man at the start of the vid was getting extra comfortable on the flight. Nothing wrong with that, just remember to tighten the 'ol belt off before you re-enter the "real world"
Thanks for uploding this video. It's nice knowing what the experience will be like.
dude in the beginning of the vid needs a better belt
Awesome vid, def gonna make use of those showers. Thanks for the vid man!
Perfect video. My in-laws need to go this exact route in an upcoming flight and this helps them immensely. Thank you for this.
I'm so glad to find this video. I'm flying Toronto Bangkok with a 3 hour layover but just got an e-mail saying my Toronto flight is going to be delayed 2 hours. I was really worried about only having a 1 hour layover but from your video, I'm feeling much better about it! Thank you!
Since I'm assuming you're flying Eva to Eva I think you'll be ok, also they have several flights a day to Bangkok so as long as your connecting one isn't the last one I wouldn't worry about that 2 hour delay. They tend to make up for lost time on these long haul flights as well. Good luck and enjoy Thailand!
@@JohnnyStrides Yeah, it's all on one ticket with EVA. There are other connecting flights ten minutes and an hour later but I won't be able to adjust my airport pickup at Bangkok so I'd obviously prefer my original flights work. I haven't been able to check in online, it tells me to contact customer service (I think because the notice of the delay happened within a couple days of departure?), except I've called Toronto, Taiwan, Chicago, Vancouver and Hong Kong and not once have I gotten through. So I have my fingers crossed that I can just check in at the airport and everything will be fine.
Hey Johnny! Awesome tour around Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport! And happy Friday as well! Hope everyone has a great day!
I will have a connecting flight here from MNL to YVR next week and this has been really really helpful. Thank you
Thank you for this video! Flying in couple months and this gave me the idea on what to expect…
I'm so happy to found your video. I was a little bit skeptical about having a 5 hours layover to Taiwan, now that i watched your video, I'm not worried anymore co'z they have beautiful ,clean airport. and it's easy to navigate. good for those who have a problem walking long distance. thank you.
I have a 5 hour layover there too coming up soon, any recommendations on what to do? Thanks
Thank you for introducing Taoyuan Airport, ROC
I love this video! This makes me feel a lot better, knowing now what to expect when transfer to airline to Jakarta, in January! HAPPY TRAVELS TO ALL!
Have a great trip!
Thank you! I had one of the best trips, when I went to Indonesia....I apologize to you that I forgot to come back to say so, hehe. Anyhow, just makes me curious why we have to go through security screening again when transferring....I guess because making sure it is not just anyone coming to the airplane of transfer. Still, better to be safe! 😊
Thanks for the tour iL be flying soon and have a 7hr lay over here!😂😂 cheers! Happy holiday
I appreciate this vid big time.. will be transiting enroute to Cebu, and have an hour layover.. was worried it could be a time issue, but doesnt look like it should be.
About to do this in a couple of months, thanks for posting!!
It’s difficult to know the situation “on the ground” as it were post pandemic. I wouldn’t have even been concerned pre-pandemic “she’ll be right” would have been fine 😂
I greatly enjoyed watching this video. The last week of October and the first week of November, in 2019, I traveled to Thailand from the USA on EVA Air (LAX-TPE-BKK and BKK-TPE-LAX). I found Taipei Taoyuan Int'l Airport to be a very pleasant transit experience. Even though the airport was busy with many traveling passengers, the lines in the security screening area moved very quickly. The airport was very clean and all the staff were polite and helpful.
Wonderful video, I’ll be next to travel to Taiwan 2023 on mid February to Tai Pei to Taichung
Passing through there next week from YVR. It will be my third time at that airport. You are right to say that the pandemic took its toll on that nice airport. I hope things get better soon. Thanks for the tour.
Have a great trip!
Thank you so much
Thank you for the video. I was scared about buying a ticket with a layover in taipei bc I wasnt sure if the seven day quarantine applied to everyone arriving or just people who planned on staying
Interesting review 😊
amazing video
I'm glad I ran into this video. This will guide me for my trip in about a month. Thanks. So the showers are free? Nice. After a long flight I can quickly shower to smell good for my destination 😂
Hello thankyou for the video, it helps me enough. Im gonna transit for 10 hours , and spend overnight there, is there any capsule hotel in the airport?
Your video is a great help for me. This will be my first time traveling to Canada with layover in Taipei. May I know about the check in luggage if you have to get it yourself or it will be transfered to the plane by the staff during the lay over? TIA
good morning everyone
HEY! Falcom and Dylan 👋🏻
Was that first guy a plumber?...geeze 🤣
lol
It would help me to transfer flight to YYZ from TPE on my coming trip. Many thanks for your video
Hello everyone from warm Greece, super friend!!
Love it
I've been there many times and I really like the airport. ❤
Interesting. So Taoyuan has internal security checkpoints even inside the same terminal for transit passengers. Also, that looked like quite a walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
May you share what camera are you using for this particular video and how do you set it up on your body? Was it clip on Camera setup or are you holding on Gimbal?
I have oncoming trip to Asia next month and would like to help other travelers by providing videos making it like yours.
You got Very smooth shot video and very informative explanation. Thanks for the content. Looking forward for your response 🙏
did you need a per test to transfer at Taipei? or vaccination card? awesome video btw!
I remember this place!
Thanks for the video. I’ll be flying EVA LAX to CNX 3 weeks from today. The connection time going is 70 minutes but a little over 3 hours coming home. I feel better about the 70 minute connection now. I flew the same itinerary in August, although it was on Singapore Airlines. I bought my ticket in March and was afraid that Taipei’s airport would be a bit dicey with Covid Big mistake. The connection at Changing Airport was14.5 hours and pretty boring. I had some problems with the return portion of my trip. Enough problems with Singapore Airlines that I’ll never fly them again. EVA seems much more convenient to Chiangmai.
Good luck with the trip!
09:31 👍Excellent useful tip: "Free shower at the Taipei Airport". For a long flight to or from Canada, I need one. Save me the entrance fee to a 1st class lounge.
I'm excited for this!! 8hr layover ugh!
Good video, very helpful since I'll be in transit enroute to Bangkok from Toronto.
Did they have free hot and cold water stations at the Taipei airport?
I can't remember... cold water won't be an issue I think.
@@JohnnyStrides Hi sir ever waiting room or gate contain hot & cold water staion plz watch 16:58 video
Thanks for this ! Will be flying EVA from Toronto to Manila with stopover in Taipei at Christmas - I will be on that BR036 eventually . How was the Wifi on the flight/s ?… cheers
It worked surprisingly well... but probably not worth it for the steep cost.
Thank you for the video. I’m flying to Bali and my flight arrive at terminal 1 with transfer at terminal 2…. Did you know if I need a Taiwan visa for this? 🙏🏻
I like this airport. Been there 3 times going to and from Manila
This is helpful thank you! I wonder if you guys need to get tested prior for covid
According to the smart traveler website all pcr and rat tests for covid have been removed.
0:28 - so... Why some people don`t use their pant belts as they are actually for? 🤦♂
lol
I’m flying from USA to Taiwan to Cambodia, is there anything I need to do when entering taiwans airport, do I need a visa? Please give me a description because I have a connecting flight in Taiwan
Hi Johnny, do you need to transfer your luggages on your own during the layover or EVA will automatically transfer it to the next plane? My flight is in April (Clark-TPE-LAX)
I have no idea, I'd check with EVA (I never check bags). Cheers
Great video- would be classy if you would edit out or blur the gentleman ahead of you on the jetway.
There are no domestic flights at TPE. All domestic flights are done at TSA, another airport downtown.
I didn't need to see that moon so early on. haha
lol
So transfers at TPE require another security screening? Will be flying from LAX to BKK next month and just wondering so I can prepare myself. Thanks
@onehitwonder763 hi! I will be doing this as well - did you have another security screening?
Thanks so much Johnny for this video, I have a connecting flight in Taipei going to Los Angeles this March 17, do I need to get and re check in my luggage or is it all the way to final destination?
I'd check with your airline, I never check bags so I wouldn't know but I think EVA checks it through (providing your flight is all on one ticket) here.
@@JohnnyStrides thank you so much
I’ve got an 8hr layover on my way to Cambodia. Do you think it’s worth it to leave and explore Taipei or should I stay at the airport and explore?
8 hours is tight only because as soon as you arrive in Taipei you're going to be on the clock and planning your return to get there 3 hours before your flight. You'll effectively have 2-3 hours or so in Taipei once you factor in clearing immigration and traveling to the city via train. That said, as long as this wasn't the middle of the night I'd probably say do it.
@@JohnnyStrides I’m scheduled to arrive at 5am in Taipei. 3hrs should be enough time to grab some breakfast and explore. Thanks for the suggestion!
would you need a long layover there if coming from the USA to be able to catch a connecting flight to another country? I am coming from the USA on my way to the phillipines. I progbably won't have any luggage just one CARRY ON BAG (but I would be flying out of taipei on the same airline I came in on (EVA)). most the layovers I am seeing on the flights I am considering are 2-2 1/2 hours in taipei. my flight will probably be in dec or jan. this will be my first international flight ever.
Hi, I have a bunch of questions hope you help me out. I'm going to join an internship at Changhuaua University on May 10, whether I have to go through the process or is there any exception? For a student visa holder? If not can you mention which check-in I got a go through and about the sim card how can I approach it? For a sim card is there any better company? Do I need to get an arrival card? And finally how much cash i can have physically
any test or apps needed for transferring in Taipei?
Hi! Question, I’m gonna travel from lax to Shanghai but have a 5ht layover in Taipei, so they ask for visa? Or just do the security screening?
It should be just security!
I leave for Hong Kong soon, I have a 2 hour stop over in Taiwan, do you know if we will be required to quarantine for 7 days or any all all?
I got a 10 hr layover there. Anything to do?
Are you transferring from one terminal to another?
Thanks for this video, I wanna ask if there’s any airport hotel there ? I wanna go to Japan by EVA but transit for a night in Taipei
Same here, from indonesia?
I also looking for that. From indonesia. Any one have information?
@@hyperione have you flight?
@@bestierfina9922 yup ,kalo punya visa jepang apply online saja kak visa taiwan.
How many hours have you lay over in taipei 🇹🇼
Is there public baby stroller that can use by the passenger?
0:29 i c but crac
How many hours is your layover?
i want go in thailand but i don"t know change airline
Si I’m guessing you don’t need any visa just to transit
My upcoming flight by China Airlines involves an hour and a half transfer at Taipei Airport with a change of terminal T2->T1. Can I do this without a Taiwan visa?
I believe you can but I'd ask the airline.
Hi @tatianlebedeva1911, I have this same issue coming up - do you mind sharing if you had to go through immigration / get a visa? Thank you so much, any insight is greatly appreciated ❤️
hey johnny
hope you notice my comment
do the security still checking the covid vaccination card, or a negative pcr test?
if they still checking the vax status, do u need to show them the booster shot??
tnx
Nobody checked anything on this trip. Cheers
what airline did u fly??
I'm flying eva airlines from Toronto to the Philippines and have only 1:45 minutes layover in Taipei. Connecting flight is also with eva airlines. I hope I have enough time. Arriving at terminal 2 and my connecting flight is also in terminal 2.Any feedback would be great.
I think you'll be fine, it's pretty straight forward. Cheers
Thank you.
Were you able to make it? Was it a long time
@@cinnamorollLFJPM. All my flights were changed while I was waiting at the boarding gate. Because of the first flight was late. So totally different route and one extra stop.
I'm planning to travel back home...layover in taiwan is only 1 and 30 mins...im worried its not enough time... How was your experience?
If your flight is on time you should be fine IMO
Did you make it? I will have the same experience too as you. Just wondering will that enough time
Toronto must 15 hours
Do we need visa when transfer process in taiwan?
I didn't...
7:33 - the third character is something in the middle, between man and woman 😄😅 They foresaw everything... 🤫
that guys ass crack was a funny way to start this video
I experienced taking the free shower in Taiwan Taoyuan Airport after I took a layover tour in Taipei.
Two weeks from now, I'll be flying to the US. Not on EVA AIR or China Airlines.
8:45 - Massage "Center"... With heart... ❤ Hhuuh?.... What? ... 🤔 😗 😋

I will never fly into Taipei ever again. In Feb.-March 2023 My wife and I went through from Seattle to Manila with a layover in Taipei. Since my wife has mobility issues when I made the reservations for these flights I requested that she have a wheelchair. NO issues at Seattle or Manila but both times coming or going. Get to Taipei and both times she was denied wheelchair assistance. On the first layover I ended up getting a baggage cart and pushed her to the security checkpoint. Then getting another baggage cart from the checkpoint to the gate. On the 2nd layover I found a wheelchair and put her in it and wheeled my wife down to the checkpoint where this rude airport staff person accused us of stealing the wheelchair. How could I steal a wheelchair that was found abandoned in an airport where we never would be leaving but on a jet airplane. After the worst seats I have ever sat in an aircraft forget ever seeing me ever make another reservation again with that airline. It is back to Korean Airline and Incheon airport for us.
😳Huh! China?
? It's Taiwan...
China Taiwan 🇹🇼
They still believe in there masks!!!
VERY DISTURBING (TAO YUAN IN MANDARIN) & CONFUSING AIRPORT WAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHA
