  • 0:04 - Airside Transfer (Single PNR)
Upon arriving at Changi Airport, Transit passengers can follow the directional signs to Transfer. Passengers are required to go through security screening before heading to the boarding gate of the onward flight.
To qualify as a Transit Passenger and transfer to your connecting flight airside without having to go through immigration, traveller must:
-Have yours flights booked on the same PNR. PNR or the Passenger Name Record is the booking code with 6 alphanumeric characters.
-Have your check-in luggage tagged-through from the origin airport to the final destination
Head to the transfer desk area to obtain the boarding pass for your onward flight, if it has not been provided earlier. After security check, you will be at the departure area. Check the boarding gate info on the flight information display system, refer to the airport terminal map for directions or enquire at the information desk if you need assistance.
1:18 - Transit Shuttle Bus to other terminal
If your connecting flight is at another terminal, take the airside shuttle bus. The journey between terminals at the transit area takes between 10 to 18 minutes. The shuttle bus service operates all day, running every 13 minutes between T1 Gate C21, T3 Arrival Immigration Hall A, and T4 Transfer Lounge.
1:46 - Landside Transfer (Separate PNR)
If your flights booked on the separate PNR, your check-in luggage will not be tagged-through to the final destination. You are required to clear arrival immigration to collect baggage, check-in again and get your boarding pass for the connecting flight.
You will need to fulfil all public health and entry requirements to ensure a smooth journey into Singapore.
-Submit the SG Arrival card within 3 days before arrival. Get a visa, if required.
-You are not required to be vaccinated or take a Covid-19 test.
2:34 - Things to do during Layover
Jewel offers exciting attractions like the Canopy Park. Inside the park, visitors can enjoy the Discovery Slides, Foggy Bowls, Walking, Bouncing Net, and many more activities.
Marvel at the breathtaking sight of water cascading down seven stories at the heart of Jewel! The Jewel rain vortex is the world's tallest indoor waterfall.
3:07 - Relax at a Lounge and enjoy a variety of food and beverages while waiting for your flight. You can gain entry through certain airline tickets, use a credit card that offers complimentary access, utilize a Priority Pass or purchase a lounge access.
We were at Plaza Premium Lounge T4. There are private cubicle seats. Have to try the Singapore Laksa, it's really good.
3:32 - If you are transiting through Singapore, you have the option to explore the country’s attractions on your own or take advantage of the Free Singapore Tour (www.changiairp...)
    3:40 - Night Safari
If you find yourself transiting at night and are unsure of what to do, consider visiting the Night Safari. This unique experience offers a glimpse into the secret life of animals after dark. You can explore the park on foot via four walking trails or by tram.
4:06 - National Museum of Singapore
Galleries at the National Museum of Singapore showcase the story of Singapore's development over more than 700 years. "Story of the Forest" is an immersive digital installation by Japanese Art Collective TeamLab that brings to life the 19th-century natural history drawings from the William Farquhar Collection to showcase Southeast Asia's biodiversity.

I have a flight from Melbourne Australia to Singapore (with a 2 hour layover) and then from Singapore to Japan, both flights with Singapore Airlines. If I check through my luggage from Melbourne, do I at any point have to go through customs and immigration? Or can I just go through security and then go to my next gate. I’m just worried now because the layover is short, if I’ll have enough time. I haven’t flown internationally since I was younger so I can’t exactly remember the process. Your video was clear but I’m just still confused! 😂

Hi, if both flights booked in the same booking itinerary/ PNR and check-in luggage tagged-through to their final destination, you don't have to go through immigration and customs, can just proceed to security, then board your flight.
with the same PNR, usually the airline will ensure that you have enough time to transfer to your connecting flight. Especially in Singapore's Changi airport which is very efficient.

You are welcome! If you plan to visit Jewel and the attractions that are located at the public area, then you have to clear immigration. Otherwise you can stay airside (transit area). You can check out all the attractions in the public and transit area here: www.changiairport.com/en/discover/attractions.html#/filter?tab=all, so you know how to plan your visit.

I’m coming from India on T2, have a layover of 4.5hrs and have connecting flight at T4. My PNR is different but have same ticket number and both airlines are partner airlines (air India and jetstar Asia). Do I need to re check in my baggage at Singapore? Can I go to T4 directly from T2?

      @theresearchfiles  6 дней назад

@@sasawy80 Hi if you book the flights together in one booking, usually it is one PNR number, for example on the official airline website. Usually they will tell you if you need to self transfer/ collect your baggage (not single PNR), for example when the connecting flight is on a different/ non-partner airline.
However if you book the tickets on third party site like Kiwi, passengers had issues before the flights weren't on the same booking number sometimes.
They may be some indications before booking, but unfortunately not always.
PNR is the 6 alphanumeric booking code.
