Top video mate. I love looking at different player’s actions. Some very methodical players in this video. That and the fact it’s doubles equals me being all over the shop in that tournament. That format is a good test of skill.
Doubles is growing on me as a format. You do have the backup of a partner, but the format means you only get half the throws you would normally, so the importance of good, or just solid visits is huge. Glad you enjoyed it. Most of the players in this video are very methodical players tbf, just the way it went on the night as there are a couple of rapid players in our league that are top players too
That was a really nice watch. I've only recently got a darts board and I'm currently averaging around 25 or so and hating those pesky doubles! So it's really nice seeing the level of play in pub leagues and seeing the next level of progression I can hopefully get to. Keep the videos up! :)
Thank you for watching. Go for it and put yourself out there to join a league / enter competitions etc. You'll see your level improve by getting used to match nerves and competing. Plus its a great social too!
Cheers Neil. It's always a struggle getting good footage for these as we get our boards called out as soon as they're available with no notice, so it's hard to prepare, hopefully it still gave a flavour of the evening though 👍🎯
Congrats on the win. That was an entertaining watch, and I had to giggle at the slightly sloshed wrap up at the end! i don't blame you though, if I'd played anywhere near that well I'd definitely be getting some drinks down me after : D
Haha thank you for watching, glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, didnt want to leave that ending out - that's the reality for 99% of darts players, play well and drink well!
How did I miss this vlog? Great to see you back on the oche and with the win. Always love these videos and looking forward to seeing more in 2022. By the way, was this win using the Red Dragon Milano or the old faithfuls? 🎯👍🏽
Hi Shannon, in between, halfway between the tip and first knuckle / crease - i have done a video on how to hold darts that might help - Peter wright is a great visual example on where on the finger and thumb to hold the dart if you watch any footage of him
Random question, how common is it for people to get dartitis, have you noticed it at all around the players you are surrounded by, just started playing and really enjoy it but just heard about it, looks frustrating.

Do you grip your darts right at the finger tips or do you have the darts in the crease of your thump and pointer finger

I always play with a drink in me , a few halves of vodka before i go , thne a few pints , then up for work at 5.30 the next day
Yeah I have to play it carefully as I have a 2 year old who doesn't care if I'm hungover the next morning 🤣🤣
