To have an early performance with Maynard front and center, Freese who is a great drummer there, Danny who is a great musician and character, to have Paz there, a great musician playing violin, those little things that aren't very regular are special I think. All in all, a great performance.

When you put this song on repeat, you create a flawless shape that smoothly brings you back to where you started. It's like some kinda, dare I say, perfect circle.
Better than the studio recording? To me it's a toss up, I like the louder violin in this version, the louder/heavier guitar in the studio version. But both versions are great. But as far as a live performance of the song goes, I couldn't ask for any better. Both are certainly better than the god awful remix they've been playing live for years now.
That cameraman has to be a fan of this song! Notice how right on cue they kept switching between Maynard and the drummer at the perfect drumming and vocal point in the beginning of the song.
April Davalos you must not know much about tv production. these shows are taped and aired later in the evening (they have to edit things out all the time). most all musical acts will have rehearsal time. each camera is assigned a number. oh just go watch a video on behind the scenes stuff. not trying to be rude, just informative.
