3:02 to 3:04 - Villeneuve did drop from 42 MPH entering the grass to 28 MPH at the time of the collision. Did the grass prevent him from slowing down completely?
The interview with LePage after the wreck was priceless. AFTER sitting through drivers meeting with explicit instructions on how to blend back onto the track after a green flag pitstop, he says " I guess they couldn't see that bright colored car. ." NEVER go full LePage while racing a stock car.

Ron Hornaday said in an interview last year hes still waiting on Kyle Busch to apologize for that incident which pretty much ended Hornaday's driving career.
Exactly, there's no way for NASCAR to fairly address that without having to go outside its official rules (although they have done so before). The most fair thing to do is strike the points from that race IMO. Similarly with the Kenseth/Logono incident the most fair thing is to give Logono a pass to the next round. I mean they expanded the playoffs due to race manipulation with MWR. Why not put an extra spot in for the next round in the championship?
If there is a part 2, I recall that there was one or two crashes that occurred within thirty seconds of the caution clock expiring as drivers came down to pit road to "beat the clock" and caused the caution themselves.
Was an honor for 8 year old me to see the lepage crash in person. Was really scary especially since i was a kid seeing a car just pull up in front of the field
Idk...in regards to the wreck with Danica in it...she had been so used to driving INDY cars that it is really 2 different things between INDY car and the size and weight differential between the 2 that can be hard to get used to...Jimmie Johnson is going through that now after all his years in NASCAR with Chip Gannassi...
Lepage gave the worst ever explanation for the Talladega crash, too. Sounded like a youtuber apology video. Blamed everyone else for his own stupidity!
Kevin... Freaking... LePage...
His excuse was actually "I have a bright red and yellow car, its their fault if they couldn't see me."
and his wife was his spotter and for whatever reason she cleared him. He should have had his NASCAR liscence revoked right then.

If there was an award for dumbest NASCAR crash in history, Lepage would win by a landslide
I dont that clash big one from this year was pretty dumb might be a close second
Landslide? You mean pileup lol
Lepage took out the whole damn field that day. I thought "there's no way he moved up the track" while watching the replay.
Honestly, what in the fuck was he thinking?
That's where the term, "getting Lepaged" came from, something I'd always wondered
“He drove straight across the damn race track!”

Pretty sure the video would be longer if it was just Danica wrecks.

You got "Lepaged"
