Hey guys, if you didn't see my community post or are not subscribed, I recently changed my name from "nascarfan4888jj" to NFJJ. It looks better, is easier to remember, and is a bit more professional in my opinion. Thanks for the support!
Cant help but think of early from squidbillies when he said "oh cock johnson, there aint enough headache powder in the world to unscramble your brain after you done hit the wall at pocono". That joke probably went right over everyones head that doesnt watch nascar
Countless lives have been saved by that HANS device. It’s to bad NASCAR didn’t make it mandatory before the 01 season. 3 drivers died the year prior from the same neck injury as Dale Sr. It’s beyond me that NASCAR just ignored an obvious prevention for basal skull fractures.
Good video idea. However, you need to watch the consistency of the volumes of each Clip. From the second to the third wreck I had to mute down a lot Also, smooth transition from the two Keselowski trucks teammates crashing to Keselowski himself crashing lol
The accident between the 19 & 29 trucks happened to me. I was racing a pure stock car at our local dirt track. I came off turn 2 racing for 2nd and 3rd. Put my foot to the floor and when I did the car died ( manual fuel pump lever pin broke).I mediately start moving from the middle of the track to the infield to get out of the way. When I turned down I was hit on the driver door hard ( no spotters or radios). My at the time girlfriend also raced in the same class at the same track. She was the one that hit me. I hit her so hard that the steering wheel came off (she had a tight grip on it and pulling it to her) and knocked the wind out of her and the car went left and hit the wall so hard it took a chunk out of the wall and knocked her out. Thankfully she was ok. And yes I kissed a lot of ass to get back on her good side after that
From the wise words of Dr. Doofenschmirtz, "If I had a nickel for every time someone has landed on top of Ryan Newman's car, I'd have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's strange it's happened twice."
You missed Davy Allisons All star crash in 1992 and I know this is a freak thing but what about MW Bristol hit back in I n 1990 or Mike harmony i don't remember what year that was
You could an entire compilation on Pocono turn 1 brake failures alone and get a 12 minute video or better. Hell Pocono ended Bobby Allison career (can't remember if it was T1 or T2) but either way.
Some of these the commentators winse at and they don't look too bad to me, yet others they just say "oh trouble" and to me it looks super hard I must have my view on accidents backwards
In most cases (like turn 1 at Pocono) you're already committed to entering the corner. A driver's first reaction is always going to be keeping it off the wall if at all possible
It’s such a split second decision for the driver, that may have been the better option but going into the grass was the knee jerk reaction for bubba. Like the saying goes, hindsight’s 20/20
Gordon and Johnson both have said that in retrospect, that's exactly what they should have done. IIRC, after both of their accidents, Kasey Kahne had a similar issue and did just that.
Because by the time you realize the brakes are gone you’ve already set the car for the bottom of the corner. These are, for the most parts, tracks where the fastest line is the bottom of the corner so you’re aiming for that. It’s not like you touch the brakes down the straightaway and know going into the corner they’re toast. You have so much momentum you’re looking for anything to slow that momentum down.
This video must've been made by a newer NASCAR fan. Plenty of harder hits in the 90's and early 2000s. Because of that, this is not a good video IMO because it leaves out alot of NASCAR history. Learn NASCAR history.

All around a good choice
I was wondering who the hell this was lol
Mmm the first clip. Young Rick Allen from the early 00s was actually good at commentary
Yeah.... what happened
Interesting fact: Daniel Suarez and Justin Marks were involved in the crash at 6:09, and now Suarez is driving for Marks this season
You made me wreck...please work for me
I’ll give you a wild guess as to who is in the 4 car right behind them
@@lnolancreative yep, i noticed that a few months ago when that driver did the move of the century at Martinsville and i saw again this clip
7:08 I remember Dale JR on the radio saying "Help Me, Help Me, Hurry" it was sad because of the way he sounded when he said it.
I was at the race at 3:22 and when he hit the wall it sounded like a bomb went off.
Poor David Reutimann
man i love how hes super quick with the intro, none of that 3 to 5 minute long bullshit, KKB is the same as well
4:51 keselowski's like "where did this come from?"
5:15 im sorry what😅
Fun fact: Parker Kligerman was leading the truck series points standings before he had that hard hit at 2:55.
He was running part time was he not??
Part time actually.
4:11 andy petree oh crash big 4:12 oh 4:13 gosh that was a hard wreck
I imagine the early name for this video was David Reutimann crash montage featuring a few other drivers
2:10 this was a massive hit
Can we appreciate how cool a name Parker Klingerman is?
This man does the outro at the beginning of his videos, that's new.
The Reutimann wreck was eerily similar to the wreck at Texas a few years before that that killed Tony Roper.
Not as much as austin theriault.
@@supertornadogun1690 i just learned that if theriault's crash happened in the 90s he wouldve died
@@bentheswitchsportsfan06 Yeah it looked identical to tony ropers fatal crash, maybe even a worse angle.
Austin Theriault got knocked out when he wrecked
8:02 the crash that ended it all.
Great video! I do have a clip for you to include in Part 2: Danica Patrick in the 2017 Go Bowling 400
Is that the one where her steering wheel went the roof of the car
I'd add Ricky Carmichael's crash at Dover to the list as well, but nice video
*ayo the pizza here*
Oh
Ah- my knees burn
We didn’t make the playoffs bro :(
Leave it on the step. I'll be there in a minute
2:25 goes by the 21 of paul menard
I was watching live and thought for sure that Reutimann/Lester wreck someone wasn’t walking away from that.
Reutimann should've watched more of Smiley's wreck and learned to turn into a spin. Guy is lucky
1:48 damn…

You coulda done this with just Danica & David Reutimann alone.
Me: Expects mostly superspeedway crashes.
Video: Only 1.
1:49 oh hard ooh my gosh into the wall is the 43 bubba wallace slams the wall!

so exited
parker had a big hit wow!
McDowell’s 2008 Wreck?
I remember that Bill Lester crash...10 yrs earlier that crash would have had a different outcome for him.
That impact was scary looking.

Why did not pay any attention to David rutaman in the first one
Byron would've probably had a similar injury to almirola if he didn't land on Newman
Jeff Gordon 2006 Crash
What about juniors hit in 2002?
Not JJ😭😭
Pause at 4:07 You can see the 29's head is down.
Some of these the commentators winse at and they don't look too bad to me, yet others they just say "oh trouble" and to me it looks super hard I must have my view on accidents backwards
Pocono is the worst track for wall hits. A lot of vicious hits have been at Pocono. Jeff Gordon 2006, Jimmie Johnson obviously. Pocono is rough.
Bobby Allison as well
If your brakes don’t work, why not keep it along the wall so that it grinds to a stop?
In most cases (like turn 1 at Pocono) you're already committed to entering the corner. A driver's first reaction is always going to be keeping it off the wall if at all possible

@@davidappelgate320 Jamie’s wreck at the end of this video. His brakes failed too.
OUCH🤕
2:35 why is there a timer
That was the "caution clock" for the truck series. Once time ran out, a yellow would wave. It was REALLY stupid.
That sucked Bubba survived
1:35
The bubba wallace was the best

It’s a shame bubba walked....
