I adore the revoltech figures because they have always come across as incredibly fun to me. The figures donot look like human beings would in figure form, that is there, but what they do offer fits in well with my taste.
Nice and really informative review, Anthony. Revoltech is most definitely not my thing, but I can see why people like them. By the way, the pictures at the end are the reason I don't completely hate the line, when people pose them properly without their balls exposed (nobody wants to see some exposed balls) those figures look great, kudos on the pics, my dude.
I'd argue that Harley and some of their mha figs are also one of their bests. It's nice to see that they finally get their groove with making stylized figs with amazing articulation and mostly seamless joints nowadays. For price and quality, I'd say they're turning to one of the best toy lines now imo.
I like how the more the review goes, the less is left of the figure. I'm at 17min in and the poor Gambit has lost his face, his coat along with both his arms and one leg. Almost at the point of being a tronc guy. Looking forward to the end of the review. Great job from a review standard point. Anthony definitely speaks his mind and it's refreshing and highly useful for use collectors. So thank you. Note : my personal best revoltech figure so far is Carnage. It works beautyfully with this character.
I thought mine was a bootleg when it started coming apart so easily, compared to the other figures. Is there any way to get the bits to stay on? Anything you can put on the ball joins to keep them in place?
I am a super huge revoltech fan but i 100% agree with the final rating ( 7/10 ). The overall joints on this figure seem a step down after batman and deathstroke ( batman's cape was divisive and cumbersome but the body itself was pretty good apart from the kneecaps ) and my main issue would be the falling faceplate and the neck joint. Still not a bad figure at all but i will be replacing him with mezco gambit as soon as i can ( unless they fuck that up ). Or maybe mafex suddenly surprises us with their rendition of Gambit. ( No ML, ty very much )
I received mines today, Unfortunately the left side of his jacket came broken from factory. It wouldn't even pop back into place. I own 6 figures so far from Yamaguchi Revoltech & this is the 1st one I've received damaged. I really like them & hope they make An Omega Red, Sabertooth or Mister Sinister.
I am a big Gambit fan also. Was looking forward to this figure. Probably not gonna get it for the price point. Will be happy with the Marvel Legends version. Heard there will be a Mezco Gambit. Let's see how that comes out.
revoltech does exactly what im looking on an action figue, if they managed to make their shoulder joints better that would make them the perfect company for me torso and legs are easily the best there is
So glad I watched your review of this guy. I don't mind the stylizing, as long as you can tell who it is, and it looks great with him. But...nah. I only have the Revoltech Alien Warrior, and I love him, but his joints annoy me. This guy looks great, but I'm going to go with Mezco's One:12 Collective version. Some of the decisions Kaiyodo makes are just...weird. I may still get their Psylocke, just because the Marvel Legends versions just...suck.
I’m having a super hard time posing this model. Trying to put in in those super dynamic poses but Gambit’s thighs are not moving so well for me. Could you make a video how you got such great poses from the figure?
I picked up the Deathstroke, Carnage, Venom and have this guy coming in.... I’m still on the fence as to if I want to continue collecting more Revoltech or not but I am super impressed with Deathstroke.

Anthony! I have a question! Where’d you get that awesome rotating figure stand? As for Gambit: He’s my fav X-Men char too. I just had to pre-order and get him... He looks amazing in this style. Revoltech issues aside, it’s a great looking figure.
In Japan there are Revoltech shops where you can buy replacement joints. But yeah, the joints really look horrendous. That being said, I would pick this over the other Gambit figures.
I can understand the frustration but I’ve never had a revoltech figure break on me. Granted I didn’t get venom or a couple others but to me I think they’re great
This figure looks like it might possibly be fun to play with, some of the poses I've seen online make this figure look very fun, and, like you, I really love Gambits aesthetic overall, always loved the character and because of this, this figure was really hard to turn down. But man, $80+ depending on where you live and the quality of this figure, by what I've seen, from most reviews , is absolutely atrocious! In almost every review I've watched those face plates have been really loose, the quality of the plastic appears to be like Anthony said, "made of dogshit" and some of the joints are not even functional. $80+... let that sink in.. Even as a die hard Gambit fan girl, I am happy to say that I still have enough intelligence to avoid this figure.. Overall I like the stylized look of this guy, definitely not as bad as some Revoltech's.. $40 maybe, $50 at a push, but it's never worth $80! Thats just madness to me. Hopefully Mezco will give us a good Gambit. They are expensive too but the quality is definitely a step up most of the time. Good review Anthony 🐱👤🔥💖🤘
Their mecha couldn't stand on their own back then, which also translated that movie revo lines with figures like trasnformer, warmachine and iron man suffered.
i have had gwen people from this company but i couldnt pose it with the arms, legs falling off on me all the time.. its nice but its way too frustrating to play with and I just sold it ... i love gambit but it looks like it has the same problem.. which is sad
I bought this figure on eBay and even though I avoided cheap chinese sellers and I made sure to buy from a listing that has a picture of the box that shows the Marvel logo, the figure coming off the box has a really strong chemical stench that kinda smells like moth balls. Anyone know if revoltech figs just naturally have that weird smell or is that a sign of a fake? I've heard some people try to scam others by replacing the actual fig with a cheap fake and I'm wondering if that's what's happening here.
I think it would be helpful if you mentioned the pricing of the figure. Because despite all of its ugly flaws, it looks pretty cool in certain poses. Personally, my buying decision would come down to the price.
It seems you really dont get why some of the joints were designed the way They are. Try play with It more. It helps to get the craziest pose done. No other figures can do that.
@@AnthonysCustoms You did Most of them but the joint on the lower leg you did not explain much. You just said you dont get why kaiyodo makes stupid decisions like this.
