I've been trying to align this direct clutch housing for hours. You can't rotate it more than a few degrees to align it with the teeth on the forward clutch. This is easily the most frustrating part of this entire build. He puts it in at 42:00 but there is a cut while he is aligning it. 😑

No thrust washer between direct and forward drum after 2000. No slots on the direct drum to hold it.
I wish I would have seen this 🤦♂️ i freaked out and bought one and then it didn't fit 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ oh well lol

When installing clutch plates into trans make sure gaps in plates are at the 6 and 12 o'clock position

isnt there a tool used on that sunshell to drop it in as assembly with forward drum?

My Guess is they can't be installed incorrectly because the gapped section will prevent it from seating? So he doesn't mention it I guess
My foward clutch drum only has 3 steel and 3 friction only i have 95 e4od... but good endplay ...

Test Pressure for Air?? will to much pressure damage it? shop air 120 psi
I don't know if you already had an answer, but the hydraulic line pressure in an E4OD is about that to double that number.
