Ngl I can't get enough of this content. Ever since he stopped worrying about what we think and started doing what he finds fun, I just can't click on a new video fast enough. I also love that I have no idea what's going to happen in a video and I need to watch to find out... Honestly, your content is getting better and better as the days go on! As an older person who is only just beginning to do art, I appreciate how relatable you are, you're making me feel better about myself! So often I'm intimidated by professional artists because they come across SO serious, but you make art FUN again, Anthony! Thank you! Appreciate your channel so much.
I do wanna say that you keeping your stuttering and lil funny bits in does help with the charm of your channel. I feel like a lot of videos try to be perfect all the time, and then everything starts to blend together, poorly.

Edit: WOW that art block advice is surprisingly something I've never heard, yet might be the realest advice I've heard.
I agree with some of it, sometimes it is hard to create or get inspired, so yeah just go do something else, play a game, go exercise, try something new. However, if the art block is going on for longer periods of time, it could be other issues. I once went 2 years without touching a pencil, art block to depression, change of situations in life and playing Shantae rekindled my love for drawing again.
Loving the new style, it's bringing out a different side as it's easy to see how much more relaxed you are. Also love watching you get your exercise in walking the long way around your desk, something I often do!
Your content is not getting worse at all. It’s been changing because you let yourself be you. We get to see more of the real you and that’s awesome!
Vlog style all the way! Love you as an artist and your opinions and commentary opposed to just cutting it out and only doing art. These are way better and you can tell you truly enjoy the process!!
when I don't want to draw I also use colouring books. its still a way to practice. I thank you for that idea from the old artist vs kids books videos
I love art so much, but ever since I've gone through a tough time in life I cannot get myself to be creative. I get so excited when your videos launch because I get to follow a creative process that doesn't feel staged.
I absolutely needed this video today as my anxiety is up for whatever reason. I especially needed to hear the part about if you don’t feel like drawing or are not enjoying it- walk away. I know to do that as a writer but I always feel guilty if I don’t sketch something a day. So, thank you for saying that.

Totally agree with your points about less pressure in colourong books, as well as just wanting to colour. I also just want to colour sometimes! Im making a conscious effort to learn to draw anatomy and character design as well, but sometimes i just want to colour!

I've been iffy with double sided books, but I always HATE it when it bleeds through, I've legit have not touched my manga coloring book cuz of the fact that it not only bleeds thru, but BECAUSE of it bleeding through, I have to decide which page I want to draw on, and some of the artwork take up BOTH pages, not to mention that it has some pages where certain areas glow in the dark, and turns out you can't color over them (learned that the hard way), which made me disappointed cuz I REALLY liked the coloring book, but cuz of all these factors, I haven't touched it since I bought it

A lot of people with art block say they don’t know what to draw but want to draw. No one is saying you have to create a masterpiece, just do some doodles if you want to get the juices flowing!

I am an intermediate artist, it’s just a hobby for me I never did any learning on the subject, and I stopped for the longest time. So I probably had an art block of some sort, but I agree if you can’t find inspiration or feel like you’re blocked stop, take a step back it’s probably to much pressure and work on it later. My obstacles where looking at other artists and being stunned that I couldn’t do that, I got over it and just decided to draw and stop being afraid… that’s how I regained my art hobby 😂 sorry long story.
I would really love to see the finished artwork in the coloring book :)

Tip for Art block, just color in a coloring book or do the reverse coloring book. You don't have to draw to be creative.
I actually think these temu products are okay if you are on a budget but for a few dollars more to invest in yourself get ohuhu. Though one experiment would be if you can replace the nibs with a brush tip from ohuhu. That would make it worth the cost as can just buy the replacement nibs

I love the fact your just being yourself and it’s like we get a peek at your inner monologue, so similar to how I sit and do my art, I’m always talking to myself 😅also enjoy the fact I feel I’m just enjoying a personal wee art session with you, you’re so relatable and it’s nice seeing that we all have struggles but you just tackle them as we can and not to be so hard on ourselves. The ADHD was strong with this video, and I'm not complaining. LOL! Makes me see that my approach to art (coloring, buying supplies ive never used, etc) isn't 'lazy' or weird, it's just.. me.. and it's normal.
ADHDCArtAttack, lol, I do the same thing, start one drawing, then another, leave one half coloured for months, buy new supplies, don't use new supplies, start multiple new sketchbooks without finishing one. hahaha

I'm sure some of their products are good, but I wouldn't trust them with my information.
It takes real courage to embrace "that" part of you on camera .. If it means anything.. You do it well.. not obnoxiously loud.. If you get what I'm talking about..
I like some of the Meeden accessories (ceramic pallets) but the oil paints were weirdly cut with something that prevents them from drying even when using things to make it dry faster. It's been 3 months and my oil painting with it is still very wet. They also don't mix with other oil paints and linseed oil makes them separate.
I do adore the Maries Watercolor/Gouache paint. It's apparently cut with a type of chalk which gives it a very nice thickness and finish. Almost like jelly gouache.They blend well and take a few passes to reactivate so you can go over the top of them once to keep sharp colors or multiple times to blend with whats already on the paper. They dilute with water beautifully and dry without sharp lines. The whites and blacks are very strong.
Paper is very hit and miss. Some watercolor paper is incredibly nice and others are just trash from the $1 store.
Brushes are very nice if you pay for them. Still cheaper than in store here. I have gotten some very beautiful watercolor brushes that hold water very well. Brushes seem consistent in quality.
I love using JinHao fountain pens for inking but there is a lot of fakes on Temu so I use Aliexpress for them. Ink has been very miss for non-waterproof ink and there isn't any waterproof acrylic inks available for me. The alcohol inks were very nice and cheap as well although they have a strange, overpowering smell.
Markers are nice but they run out very fast. Refillable inks are a little expensive but at least you can see how much you are getting. The refillable black ink I got was more purple than black so quality isn't the best or consistent.

Hullo Anthony, I would offer this idea, I believe you have thought of this but just in case, I got into the "habit" of scanning my coloring books before I or anyone started coloring in them! My nephews like to color the same thing over and over again. SO I just scanned the pages so they can be colored more than once! I have also used graphite paper to make copies of the same image when they both wanted to color the same image! This works great when teaching them how to work with an image with basic outlines and filling in details! Keep doing what your doing! I wonder if they put the paper in the pad backwards? You might try the "backside" of the pad just to see if they messed up!
art and alcohol never go well together 😜and nothing wrong with using a colouring book to colour at any age and skill, stress relief and sometimes you just want to make a pretty picture!

No harm on testing grey, but why not make a spotlight colourbackground? Like in anime moving/action style? Just a thought, maybe?
I'm not sure if you would or if you can get them where you live but
I recently started using Nassau fine art markers and paper (they have mixed media paper) and while they are both really inexpensive they have left me petty happy
the markers come in different set sizes (smallest set is a set of 3 in different colors) and the paper comes in different sizes too

Maybe by non-staining they mean marks won't bleed through or that the paper doesn't yellow. Stay true might mean they're claiming the colors won't fade easily. Just my guesses.

The paper sounds like those 90s velvetty "art" things you know the ones that were like disney outlines in velvet/felty stuff had like 5 felt tips. Tbf those marker tips sound like those types of felt tip nibs 😂

Put a thick paper behind the page you're coloring so it only ruins the other side. That's what I do with my cheap coloring books.

Putting an extra sheet of paper that’s thicker under the page your gunna color on can help your markers not bleed through half your coloring book.

I got a question:
Why don't you scan and print the picture you want to color instead of it bleeding through to the other side and ruining the coloring book?
You could put a blank piece of paper behind the page you are coloring and then only the back of the page you’re coloring will have bleed through
I add paper in between the pages so I don't bleed through so many pages in the coloring book
Like i said in the last one temu sucks i bought some just to start out and it falls apart every time I sharping it / them.
