I'm not sure why people "hate" on Nickelback so much. They are a very tight band. I started to seriously get into music in the 80's, and we had some great music back then. One of the first albums I owned (Christmas gift) was a Hall and Oates greatest hits album. Sure...some people may laugh at that, but I loved that album. Those two guys are amazing! I own Nickelback albums as well as Creed albums. I know both bands get a lot of "hate," but it's usually from non-musicians. Most musicians I know have respect for both bands.
I've heard it mainly came down to overexposure, at least for Canada. Canadian radio has to play a certain amount of canadian music, and for a long while Nickelback was basically the only major canadian rock band active, so their music got played way too much on radio and people got sick of hearing it.
There's nothing with the Band, it was just over exposure that got Way beyond their control on the radio, etc......there was also lots of arrogance from people Hyping the band up, that DIDN'T even listen to Rock or Metal in the first place(hence all the radio play)......so that made the rock community Turn on them....probably more to annoy "fan boys" than anything.
I agree. They are a very tight in the pocket band. Let also add. Im from Dallas Tx. You would see them in Vinnie Pauls strip club every time they were in town hanging out with Vinnie and Dime when they were alive. So if they liked Nickelback that should tell you something.
