Thank you so much! This is by far the best 720e beginner guide video on RUclips I've seen so far! I totally understood everything and got confident while flying my drone, bcs of this video. Keep up the good work!
I spent 4 hrs today trying to get mine to fly and I wish I had watched this sooner. Thx so much this has saved me so much time and you just got your self another subscriber. Keep it up
That is awesome! Dont forget to do both compass and gyro calibration. See my recent video about completing gyro calibration from controller if you not sure.

Great video and informative, have subbed, and now need to study your other videos starting with unboxing etc. It's great that your in the uk also, and prepared to offer assistance, very kind so well done to you!👍 Regards, Tony.
Great video. Thank you my friend. I've had my HS720E for over a year and still haven't flown it. Your vid was perfectly understandable for a first time done pilot like me. Again thank you and keep up the great work!

Well you saying that, you will hopefully remember the video I did that battery went from full to zero in seconds, and went off flying around tilting to one side? Well about a week ago or so I was trying to get a sunrise shot and I callabrated the drone first and just wanted to make sure drone was OK and prime motors by just the sending it in the air about 30 meters and back. I took off and within 2 or 3 metres off floor it suddenly veered violently the the left. I took it up further in the air to avoid a nearby tree and took it to the other side of the tree in more open ground, but, as I fought with it to bring it down it crashed. It flipped over and I pressed and held kill switch but nothing happened. I tried again and nothing. I picked it up and tried once more and still nothing. I caught my knuckles on blades as you may see on my latest videos on my left hand. Unfortunately I was not recording at time as it was a test flight. I eventually pulled battery out to stop it. I then tried to take off again several times to try record it as proof for Holystone. Everytime I took off it pulled to to one side but not as bad as first flight. Then after about 30 seconds it righted it self and was fine. It did this every flight. So I contacted Holystone made a video on RUclips unlisted so they could view it and after few days they send me a new drone. If this happens again I will be sending it back for refund and try another drone. I feltblike the transmitter was the problem maybe. So frustrating.
@@2CatMedia this is exactly the same issue that happened to my Hs720e, upon pressing the auto takeoff button the drone suddenly drift from the left then i tried to control it back to its original position but it suddenly flew away reverse and I tried to control it back to me but the drone didn't respond, also the remote did not beep when I pressed the emergency stop button, luckily the drone hit a tall grass and fell down on the bushes.. I also reported this to Holy Stone and ask me to send video, unfortunately I don't have a video of it, i also asked for a replacement Hs720e unit but told me they are first sending a new remote control and propellers(to replaced the dented props during crash).. after that weird issue I tested it again, the other day, did all the pairing,Gyroscopic, compass calibrations, but this time I fly it on a very low 3ft altitude, then It fly's well.. But I'm still thinking maybe there's something wrong on the remote control that's why I did not fly it farther..

Please can you tell me when do you do a gyro calibration as I can find anything in tne Holy Stone HS720e operating manual but there is a button in the Ophelia go app to calibrate thanks Dave.
Hi David, i tend to do both the geo magnatism and gyro at the start of the first flight of the day. Just make sure it on level flat surface. The lights will flash dmfirvabout 10 seconds then stop and it done. I generally do the geo magnatism first then that one. Then fly from there. Hope that helps.
Great videos.. I love your channel... but I don´t love the 720e.... Its a beautifull dron, but the drifting things is a major odd. It was my first dron, and I was without experience, so my first crash i thought was my fault... I had to buy and repleace an arm.... Now I know its a factory problem, And In México the customer service is very bad. They not even answer.... so now i have a $300 dollar piece of junk... Then I bought the DJI Mini 2, its simply amazing.... So this is beautifull gut I really recomend you to buy other like de DJI MINI SE, best cámera, a little more money, but it is stable as a rock, and the customer service is amazing.
Hello how are you my brother.? I have a problem with my drone . When i fly it and record the videos but all the videos shake . You think it’s because of the wind or do I have fix it in the app? I need some help please. Take care my brother
Explain more? Are they fixed in the storage position? Have they worked before? Sometimes when first opening them they can be quite atttatched to each other. But once open for first time they should be OK
The problem I have had with this drone and the HS720E is that both my original did a fly away, now having flown drones since 2018 I think I may have got the hang of it by now, each fly away did the same, after setting things up and then starting within minutes the drone decided to fly to its left so on pressing RH nothing happens, I then try to control the drone myself again nothing so in total I have lost the following 1xHS720E & HS720G being fair to Holy Stone they have replaced all the fly aways I've had, so far play to then. ~In my opinion there is something not quite right withe the drone / controller or both which needs sorting, I'm sure that Holy Stone can't keep replacing these fly aways. All that said I'm still of the option that these drones perform and look good despite the obvious. So for now I'll keep my fait hin Holy Stone.
I have had the same issues. Holystone did nothing for me as far as replacing my drone that flew away. I ended up buying another one and that one flew away from me as well. I don't understand why the drones do this because it will be fine for the first 5 minutes of flight then it just goes crazy. I will not be buying another drone from Holystone.
Hey all, is there a beginners mode in the app that you can turn off? I have been through that app numerous times but I can’t seem to find any beginner mode option. What should my max meters distance and height be in the app? Thanks in advance. Loving my 720e so far!
Hi there is a beginners mode in the settings nearby the top of that menu. I have not tried the new app with drone yet as app keeps closing but my only issue with it is if you put the beginners mode off! Then you have to adjust the other meters and the one that bothers me most is the thought that max distance is only 200m. My question is when beginners mode is switched on then what are restrictions? As you can't select individual settings if it is on. But in old app you you'd switch on or off each individual setting.
Great video but you didn’t calibrate the joysticks. I believe you just pull them down to the left bottom corner after calibrating drone, but I’m no expert! Happy flying.
I have a holystone HS720 and when I power it on it just flashes red lthe drone is brand new and the battery is fully charged and when I connect the drone to the controller the drone just still flashes red and it won’t let me calibrate it. Any idea why this is ?
If you look in the manual, it should state what the different colours mean. If it continues just contact Holy Stone customer service and they will talk you through it and send you out another if there some error. But read the manual.
Help.....a crash broke an arm....need to order a new one..what is left or right on a drone? Should I look from the front or the back to determine left or right? I’d be grateful for any help thanks
Hi Steve, expecting my hr720e in a day or two very excited. Two things 1. The ophelia go app is crashing on me when im trying to familiarise myself with it and 2. What was the name or could you link the 3rd party improved charge time charger. Thankyou 🙂
Hi, link to charger via UK amaxon is www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08JQBWMK2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_4lr6FbYM688X7 Also the same happens to me with crashing app. Holystone told me to do the following: Kindly try the steps below and do let me know if the same issue persists. - Turn on your drone and remote control - Turn on the airplane mode of your phone because there might be Indoor WIFI interference. Kindly also try it outside, since your home's wifi might interfere with the drone's wifi signal. - Kindly make sure that there are no applications that could block the WIFI signal coming from the drone. - Kindly connect to the drone's wifi "HolyStoneEIS_*****" and make sure it says connected before opening the app "OPHELIA GO" - Then tap the control buttons Airplane mode does help with crashing
Hi jerry, only to view the camera live from your mobile while you fly as that is the connection between the drone and the mobile devicre. You can just fly it line of sight if your phone does not gave 5.8 ghz but most modern phones in lsst 5 years should have.
I was flying this drone for the 1st time the other day and everything was going smooth. When the battery got down to about 3mins left the drone stopped responding and landed but did not return to home first as the instructions said it would. Any ideas? Thanks!
@@2CatMedia maybe. But I had just got the 1st warning and never the 2nd which the manual says triggers RTH. And it said 3 minutes left which seems early to trigger an immediate landing which could have been someplace I couldn't have received it.
The calibration of the drone battery and the remote control battery is WAY off, and I have heard others state the same observation. On my HS 720E, once the drone battery is at two bars it is no longer reliable reporting the flight time remaining. Once the battery reaches two bars, I bring the drone down in altitude and distance immediately.
Hi! I just got my HS720E from Amazon and i cant set it up with the WiFi. It Says that is conected but without Internet. And I the app, its says that is not conected either. Any idea of what its wrong and what can I do? I havent been able to fly it :'(
Hi Laia, firstly that particular connection will not have internet as the drones WiFi is not a router. Make sure your phone is 5ghz WiFi compatible. Most new phones are but some older phones or really cheap phones may not. It's not 5 G internet you need but 5 GHz WiFi. Look up you phones WiFi specs. It should say 802.11 the a letter mostly AC after it. But just type in your phone model and if it 5ghz compatible. All phones will be 2.4ghz but not all will be 5ghz WiFi
If the phone is connected to the drones WiFi, you should be able to see the camera view within the app. It should also say connected on the top of the app
I have the Holy Stone 720E. And the highest the drone goes is 15m. The max altitude says 120m. I have taken it off beginner mode and it still doesn’t go above 15m. How do I make it go higher please?
Hi Sam, that is strange if it taken off beginners mode. Once you have taken it off beginners mode are you then moving the distance to 120 or at least higher than 15m? If not do so.
@@2CatMedia hi bro, I have set all the limits on the app settings to the max distances. I am using the app on my phone connected to the drones Wi-Fi. I’ve emailed HS but no response. Do you know any methods? I can send you screenshots of the messages coming on my app if you can provide a contact email or instagram/twitter.
Just a comment on the best and safest way to shut the drone down when it keeps running and the kill switch does not work never reach the top of an drone still running you will get hurt. The first time I had that happened it crashed upside down I removed the battery before turning it over. The second time it crashed and was still running I flipped the drone over and safely removed the battery that way. Keep your hands and fingers clear of the blades. It still started up afterwards it wont damage it but your safer
Great advice Tassilo, yes I did it wrong and paid the price, but in a situation you can panic and I did kind of. But I learnt and hopefully others can learn from our experiences.
Igot this 720e from amazon recently and while it fly very well and held up in the wind nicely, the camera just wasn't there for me. it may be 4k @30fps and look good, but i ended up getting a Mavic Air 2 and it's 4K @30fps looks so much better. It's insane, night and day difference. So if you only worried about photos, this drone is cheap and very well made, but for video...go with something else.
I totally agree that the 4k at times is not comparable to say DJI but like you said it cheap in comparison. It is indeed 4k in resolution but just because somthing is 4k does not mean it will be a crisp picture. The sensor inside will play a huge difference as to the quality. Thank you for you input kevin
Hi weilding. Some phones do not support 5ghz WiFi. Especially older phones or sometimes those in a more budget side imif the market. They all support 2.4ghz WiFi. I looked at the Samsung a20 and from what I see it does not support 5.8ghz WiFi. You will still be able to connect to 2.4ghz to Home WiFi but not 5.8 ghz which is what you need for the phone to connect for live feed. Double check your phones specs and WiFi settings to see if it has it or not.
Hi Andy. Make sure you calibrate it fully with both the gyro and geo magnetic calibration in the app. Also just in case, fkybitbon airplane mode. If it still not flying right then contact Holystone
The manual doesn't address how to calibrate the gyro? Must you do that before every flight? The manual doesn't tell you that you only have to hold the LOCK and move the power button ONLY on the first flight?? You'd think that you have to do that for every flight?
Hi have just purchased the 720e on the first flight I could connect to the drone via WiFi now every time I try and connect to the WiFi I cannot find the drone. So frustrating, any help would be appreciated, I’ve tried several different phones.

Then I bought the DJI Mini 2, its simply amazing.... So this is beautifull gut I really recomend you to buy other like de DJI MINI SE, best cámera, a little more money, but it is stable as a rock, and the customer service is amazing.
Thankyou mark , much appreciated
Hello how are you my brother.? I have a problem with my drone . When i fly it and record the videos but all the videos shake . You think it’s because of the wind or do I have fix it in the app? I need some help please. Take care my brother
Hi, not sure how bad it shakes but i know in windy conditions it can struggle as the eis trys to work
@@2CatMedia Oh ok that’s for your help
When I got my hs720e the camera was facing down, is that normal or ok? I turned it on for a second and it didn't change.
I think when you connect it to the app it should reset
I can’t get my antennas to move, do you know how I can fix this?
Excellent video! Thanks for explaining everything in plain English. The documentation that came with the drone isn't helping me, and you did! Kudos!
I'm glad it helped, enjoy the drone
I am. In contact with Holystone, so when they give me clear guidance I'll post a video or comment
Keep look out for new video with possible solution
Great video but you didn’t calibrate the joysticks. I believe you just pull them down to the left bottom corner after calibrating drone, but I’m no expert! Happy flying.
No the bottom left is to complete compass calibration and bottom right is the gyro calibration
Hi gunter, you always place drone so the head or front is away from you. Then the left will be left and right will be right.
@@2CatMedia thank you so much !!!
Your welcome
Hi Steve, expecting my hr720e in a day or two very excited. Two things 1. The ophelia go app is crashing on me when im trying to familiarise myself with it and 2. What was the name or could you link the 3rd party improved charge time charger. Thankyou 🙂
Hi, link to charger via UK amaxon is
www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08JQBWMK2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_4lr6FbYM688X7
Also the same happens to me with crashing app. Holystone told me to do the following:
Kindly try the steps below and do let me know if the same issue persists.
- Turn on your drone and remote control
- Turn on the airplane mode of your phone because there might be Indoor WIFI interference. Kindly also try it outside, since your home's wifi might interfere with the drone's wifi signal.
- Kindly make sure that there are no applications that could block the WIFI signal coming from the drone.
- Kindly connect to the drone's wifi "HolyStoneEIS_*****" and make sure it says connected before opening the app "OPHELIA GO"
- Then tap the control buttons
Airplane mode does help with crashing
Hope you enjoy your drone, please let me know how you get on.
Cheers Steve wil give all that a go and let you know, much appreciated 👍
Hello! I can’t seem to make a GPS lock onto any satellites. Please advice! Happy Xmas!
Hi John, make sure there no interference near by or that your indoors.
@@2CatMedia How do you check for interference?
I mean obvious interference from power lines or WiFi signals etc
l have a 720e,do l need 5.8 g h z wi fi on my phone to operate my drone
Hi jerry, only to view the camera live from your mobile while you fly as that is the connection between the drone and the mobile devicre. You can just fly it line of sight if your phone does not gave 5.8 ghz but most modern phones in lsst 5 years should have.
hello how do get sound in video? there is no sound
There is no sound on the drone. Sd card footage is silent.
I was flying this drone for the 1st time the other day and everything was going smooth. When the battery got down to about 3mins left the drone stopped responding and landed but did not return to home first as the instructions said it would. Any ideas? Thanks!
Hi Gideon, it may just be that the battery just went too low so it just had to land.
@@2CatMedia maybe. But I had just got the 1st warning and never the 2nd which the manual says triggers RTH. And it said 3 minutes left which seems early to trigger an immediate landing which could have been someplace I couldn't have received it.
Yes maybe. You will just have to try again. Maybe it just a one off thing.
@@2CatMedia I'd like to add to this, I can't get my app to show connected but the phone/drone wifi is showing as connected. Any Ideas?
If the phone is connected to the drones WiFi, you should be able to see the camera view within the app. It should also say connected on the top of the app
I flown my hs720 today and for some reason on the bottom of my drone i see all redlights. What does that indicate?
Are they flashing?
@@2CatMedia no flash at all but i do not see no more green its all red. Could it be that the gps lost signal?
Take a look in manual, it tells you the colour coding there. I would check for you but I'm at work at present
Send them to my channel email.
2catmedia@gmail.com
@@2CatMedia I have sent an email over. Thank you mate!
Is it better to calibrate in a clockwise or anti clockwise direction ?
Hi gaston, it's makes no difference
What could cause a Samsung Galaxy a20 to not pick up the drone wifi??
Come join my new facebook group I created called "Budget & Fun Drone Community" @ facebook.com/groups/2catmedia and say hi and share your journey.
@@2CatMedia ok no prob
Can anyone tell me how to uncalibrated my holystone 720e
Why does my hs 720 always lose contact within 200 meters
Don you have the new updated app? If so thurn off beginners mode and don't move the max distance at all. Try that
What to do if your phone won't connect to to drones wifi? There's no wifi to recognize
Depends if this a new issue and it connected before or not. Could be your phone does not support 5.8 ghz wifi. Especially if it an older phone.
@@2CatMedia no...it never connected...I just got it Monday
@@2CatMedia it's the galaxy s21
Have you tried a different phone just to rule it out
@@2CatMedianope... I'll try my s9+
It shows up on a LG phone but not mine
Hi weilding. Some phones do not support 5ghz WiFi. Especially older phones or sometimes those in a more budget side imif the market. They all support 2.4ghz WiFi.
I looked at the Samsung a20 and from what I see it does not support 5.8ghz WiFi. You will still be able to connect to 2.4ghz to Home WiFi but not 5.8 ghz which is what you need for the phone to connect for live feed. Double check your phones specs and WiFi settings to see if it has it or not.
@@2CatMedia ok thank you
Help my drone keeps flying to right and flying weird
Hi Andy. Make sure you calibrate it fully with both the gyro and geo magnetic calibration in the app. Also just in case, fkybitbon airplane mode. If it still not flying right then contact Holystone
Go to the halfway point of the video for actual set up part
Setup encompasses lots of things depending on previous knowledge or experiences of the user. Some people need that extra instruction for the basics.
It's a shame that he left out the gyro calibration setting. He also forgot to mention that you need a minimum of seven satellites before you can fly
Yes you are right Clifford.
How can I set it up with the satellites?
One it's all turned on it will search for satellite's and display in the app and also transmitter.
Will the holy stone hs 720e keep flying a flight plan that you set up in the app after it loses the app signal? Or stop and return home?
If it loses signal it should just return home. But worth a try!!
I have been brave enough to try it once. It went to the first way point and just stoped. Had to call it home. Haven’t tried it again.
And thank you for your vids. They’ve been a lot of help.
Thankyou very much. I am planning on doing a touch to flight path video at some point as not used it yet. Could be interesting
Bonjour, si vous pouvez me faire une version française svp. Je suis en RDC et je ne comprends pas anglais please
Sorry, English?
@@2CatMedia I think he or she is asking for a version in French as they don't speak English lol.
My drone keeps flying away
Msje sure you are fully calibrating it and there as little interference as possible. Also try using MRC Pro.
The manual doesn't address how to calibrate the gyro? Must you do that before every flight? The manual doesn't tell you that you only have to hold the LOCK and move the power button ONLY on the first flight?? You'd think that you have to do that for every flight?
I fully calibrate prior to every flight. It don't take long and is just in case
Great video, but in the app of itself what are the default settings?
Hi have just purchased the 720e on the first flight I could connect to the drone via WiFi now every time I try and connect to the WiFi I cannot find the drone. So frustrating, any help would be appreciated, I’ve tried several different phones.
If it connected the first time it should mean your phone is able too. Can you see the WiFi connection on the WiFi settings?
@@2CatMedia have found the problem , the memory card that I had put in had cracked. Once I took the memory card out. WiFi could be seen. Great videos keep up the great work !!
Fantastic news, glad it was only somthing small. Thankyou for watching
