Mitsubishi is offering the top of the range Mitsubishi Outlander GT in US and Canada. The GT comes with a 3000 c.c Mivec V6 engine (224hp) and an ordinary 6 speed automatic gearbox. It also received Mitsu sophisticated S-AWC 4 wheel drive system. :)
Hi, thanks for sharing this video. I am in the midst of deciding between this 7 seater Mitsubishi Outlander and Subaru Forester 2.0s Eyesight. Admittedly, i am a car noob. Currently drivng the Subaru Levorg, but am itching to change to a SUV. What'd be your take - Outlander or Forester? Also, from your video, it appears that the sound from the drive/road is quite loud, is it because of the high rev?
i would like to see you taking the new preve refinement 2018 turbo up to the gohtong jaya . i might be getting one (the refienement version) very2 soon so i wanna hear your opinion about the car .
Just wondering bro did you drive in Ds mode or D? I found the Ds provides respectable power to keep the driving spirited. I was thinkng of installing the safety bar initially just as in my Xtrail but I realized the outlander does not need it as it is really composed round any bend.
How is the power? On what gear u r running?Petrol consumption?U r on full acclectration.Petrol sure high. What is yr advused if a customer asked whether can go up to genting
Power is nothing to shout about. CVT was running on DS mode. Petrol consumption was in the region of 11-12 l/100km according to trip computer. This car will go up Genting la, no issues, just need to work it hard enough, and exploit the chassis' stability around corners.
the 2.4 Litre mivec would be better than the 2.0 2.0 engine seems to be underpower to move such a heavy suv outlander, also having the paddle shifter also would help :D
Test drove the 2.0 Outlander before the GST-free period, and while the chassis is really above average for a 7-seater SUV (in fact much composed over the compact ASX which I remember had a more jiggly setup), there is the undeniable lack of power and is more suited to be driven 'like a Japanese', similar to the Sienta clip by Bobby.
My dad owns a Forester and we use it to go up Getting quite often. Even under full load it isn't terribly underpowered, but the engine will be constantly revving at about 3.6k rpm and yet it's still able to pick up some speed easily. I think thats not too bad considering that the Outlander does the same (or requires more power) even with just 1 person on board.
And the handling is pretty great thanks to the Boxer-configurated engine which gives a lower centre of gravity and Subaru's superb symmetrical AWD. Easily one of the best handling SUVs in its class.
I agree with you on this as for long journey Subaru not really good as compared with the Outlander. The AWC All wheel control is also better than others 4wd in the market not to mention the sawc super all wheel control which from the Evo.
When u select ds means drive speed so the engine will be a bit noisy if you select the normal D then should be fine as the cabin has a fine levels of nvh.

Too bad a 3.0-litre engine is disadvantaged in our market by its road tax. 224hp sounds like just about right performance for the Outlander.
US Canada is different market

Proton did not register any media test cars, so Genting Run may not be likely, but can do walkabout with showroom car lah.

Must be struggling if all 7 people inside this car climbing genting?
Just my inner thought. Did like to see a battle between the Outlander 2.0 and Iriz 1.3 CVT up Genting. Curious of which one would fare better.
Interesting thought experiment. Both fine-handling but underpowered cars, but I think Iriz will fare better la
@@KonWaiLuen haha lotus handling hidup ✌️
Bullshit. Iris is suv?

The CVT actually masks the power deficit from standstill, but at highway speeds, you can feel it la.
The engine sound can get depression along the run..huhu

Yeah, hence my stand that this car needs a diesel engine.
How does it compare with the Forester in terms of performance and handling? Both are priced around the same after discounts.
I grew up as a Lancer Evo fan, but I think in this instance, the Forester is a superior option. Haha.

The CVT whine is mental
And the engine sound wasn't entirely inspiring.
kon, is it worth to get a 2.4 instead of 2.0, what's your opinion?
2.4 is worth it if you have the budget.
@@KonWaiLuen the engine noise seems loud in this video, or it is 2.0 issue only?

Still waiting your review for The 5008
Ok, hang in there.
Using Eco or 4WD auto mode?
4WD Auto in this instance
wa...drive like this way...cvt got overheat??
No, thankfully.
I drive prrve cvt. From kl to jb top floor pedal non stop break. So far not bad
Engine seems struggling at high rpm... no good..agree with you if its a diesel turbo
Needs to be worked hard.
What ia the requirements for being a car media
A willingness to start from the bottom, and to stick around long enough to be recognized.
