In the Uk I’ve heard flower paste being referred to as modelling paste but I’ve not heard of plasteryash. Is it the same thing? Thanks for another great tutorial.

Is the whole shoe made from pastillage? Your pastillage is so much more flexible than mine. I use your recipe and am super careful with the quantities and following instructions. Can you suggest where I am going wrong? Thanks so much.
When you reheat pastillage you lose moisture, that will cause quick drying/ add few drop water and knead.
When you reheat you have to knead till cold then start shaping.
Dear chef, thank you very much for the tutorial! I would like to ask you, in high temperatures as it is in Greece now, between 33-40 C, what do you suggest me to use to glue a pastillage shoe with many straps that I want to assemple? I think that chocolate will not secure all the parts. Ant it has parts that have to stay vertically by themselves. Than you in advance for the answer! You are awesome!!!! Respect!!!!
Also I would like to ask one more question. Since we put the pastillage shoe on the top of the cake and put it in the fridge, will it stay safe or it's going to get dry and crumble? So, how long does it stay safe in the fridge? Thank you again and forgive me for all those questions
Royal icing please, small parts eggwhite will do a clean job.
Fridge and pastillage is not a good friend. you have to use confectioners glaze to increase the time but no guarantee. Best advice is keep the topper out and place last minute after the cake out of the fridge.

How do you work out the correct shape for the sole?
great tutorila, one question what did you use to color your pastillage? I tried gel paste and it made to crumbly.
For deep colours I use powder colours. Place the powder on a plate add very minimum moisture and mix to a saucy paste form till the granules can not feel any more . Mix with your paste and wait till next day and you will see some dots and mix again and you ready to use.Thanks.

I made some pastillage last week and tried to make flowers with it they have been drying for 4 days now and still have soft spots any tips to help it dry faster? It's my first time making a wedding cake and I have a month to get it done.
