Awww ... we briefly saw your grandchildren grown as early teens, when you made your mille-feuille birthday cake. Wonderful. Great instructions & method of how to make frames. Thank you 💜
Amazing as always! Every time I watch your videos I always learn something new, even if it's something I already knew how to do. Thank you for sharing your priceless talents, which are so very much appreciated.
you have god an awesome talent. i just started baking during this covid 19 lockdown... your videos are really helpful and you are my master.. thank you.. God Bless you too..
I did a frame for my 3 year old but made entirely from white chocolate and painted in the middle photo also in the chocolate a lion...it's came out awesome....I wish I can send u the picture...
Chef thank you so much for sharing all your creative and talented work! Your grandchildren are adorable! May I ask you something, please?: 1) the chocolate must be compound chocolate, as I understand should be thick and mixed with water? And how much water? 2)what type of colour is the silver and is mixed with pure alcohol?3) if i wanted to make "modern style" frames, what colour you suggest I use and colour the frame always after or colouring directly the pastillage?4) the pastillage can only be warmed in the microwave or is there another method to soften it? Thank you soooo much and sorry for the many questions
I don't think anyone eats the picture. Pastillage is too hard to chew, at least for me. What happens then with the picture? Do people save decorations like that? Do they last? Do they attract bugs? What about in your kitchen, do you make cake toppers for future cakes or do you always make fresh toppers?
Pastillage toppers are 100 % edible but as you said they are quite solid. They can be sprayed with confectioners glaze and kept for years as table ornaments. I always do and keep basic preparations in designated boxes like these frames and many others like shells , brunches, plugs, hears and stars e,t,c
It is called pastillage and there is no substitute that I know. You have to make it your self. Here is the recipe...www.yenersway.com/recipes/pastillage-recipe/

How does the dough dry quickly? It only dries if I leave it for days exposed to the air
Amazing!
The best video ever
Wow wow!
Another masterpiece! I wonder, could I use royal icing at the "glue" consistency to assemble it? I am not very confident with chocolate.
It will work but chocolate is instant hold. Royal has to be dry in time.
Oh I see, I actually bought chocolate today, since I trust immensely with your art work. Thank you very much.
What icing is this Sir royal or butter icing for piping
So lovely

Hello Yener and thanks for this great video. How and how long can i store your Pastillage recipe?
If you not use preservative . Keep it in the fridge in a bag and a box. few months. In the freezer for ever.

Is that fondant you are using
Its pastilliage, he has a recipe on his page if you would like it. More like gumpaste but goes harder faster.
I usually mix tylose powder in my fondant n leave it for a day as fondant comes cheap.U can do so if u are beginner and just wann to try things
What’s pastiche. I am from Botswana we cannot get that here. What is the substitute of it.
It is called pastillage and there is no substitute that I know. You have to make it your self. Here is the recipe...www.yenersway.com/recipes/pastillage-recipe/
