I spent the whole trailer trying to work out what the song was. It is so familiar but I still can't place it?
Them is one of the scariest things I've seen on TV in a while. That "Cat in a Bag" scene from the first season never left me.

I’m only on episode 2 so far, and just paused it to come here and comment about that scene where the son comes downstairs and the clip of the late Rodney King getting brutalized by cops is playing and rewinding over and over. The joker grin on his moms face as she’s laying there watching creeped me the f out, then he turns on the light and she’s it even really there. The makers of this show and the actors are masters at their craft. That shit was chilling.

I'm torn because i'm a big fan of horror, but that 1st season was traumatizing. Nothing good happened to that family.

It was very traumatic and while it was very graphic, what more can you expect from a black family living in that time period? Not having a happy ending is something a lot of us endured at that time

I didn't like it. She finds out she has the power to set shit on fire and doesn't set all those demons outside her house on fire? That's my big issue with series that focus on racism - there is never a satisfying retaliation.

@@jp_jdn that's why it should play out in movies. why introduce ghosts and time travel and supernatural powers, then decide at the end to reflect realism and not do anything with those powers?
The only modern movie I know of that ended "correctly" was Django. The last 20 minutes was worth the price of admission alone.

Cautiously optimistic for this. The first season of Them was one of the most perfect bingewatching streaming series i ever experienced. Even better than most American Horror Story seasons. Hoping they can continue with that level of quality.
Them S1 was so shocking and addictive. Apparently a lot people found it too upsetting to watch. I personally think it should be shown in schools, maybe then we could start to eradicate systemic racism while their minds are still malleable.
I have to say that season two is a totally different vibe, but it’s still very high-quality, and genuinely scary !

Season 1 was absolutely terrible. Great cast. Great concept. Bad execution. So now that the bar is so low, Season 2 can only be better.

😳 They did Shanice dirty by turning her beautiful one-hit song into a deadly horror theme, but she couldn’t say no because she needs the money after her husband destroyed all their family’s income into really stupid spending.
I know. I remember that. They even did a reality tv show to make some money. That was messed up.
So glad they decided to bring this show back. That first season was so compelling and thought provoking. Really want to see how they approach this new season. I thought it would be a continuation of the prior season but whole new storyline. So glad to see a lot of people watched this series.
They are doing it as an anthology series. I really enjoy the absolute quality and writing of season 1 but couldn't finish because of how brutal it was. This looks equally fantastic but hopefully a tiny bit easier of a watch

I just finished watching it and I liked it. It was very creepy and disturbing. Luke James was so unsettling in the role of Edmund. He was brilliant.
This series is phenomenal and Luke James’ character took me on an emotional roller coaster. If you haven’t seen it, you better get ready to binge watch it.

That’s what I was referring to when I said “getting into the acting bag.” I didn’t recognize him at first so he’s taking this craft to the next tier with going into a method era.

Man . . . I just got thru from watching season 2. And it was worth every second. Luke James deserves to be nominated because his performance was truly remarkable, and Deborah Ayorinde is an actress that needs to be recognized. It was well-casted and acted from each character and the storyline was put together beautifully in an era that's well loved and missed. People, please check out this series!

@77Creation to be honest AHS is inconsistent and poorly written. It's a few seasons in there they are well done. But AHS just hasn't been good its simply overrated. That's why I said I don't know if comparing the 2 is a good thing.

Not one single bad actor! This show gave me the chills. I related to alot of it growing up in poverty in a latin home where domestic violence was big in the home to also trauma throughout my teen years. Amazing show and creativity

Oh no. We get it. Anybody who has watched both seasons and has a brain gets it. There is so much going on. Especially in season 1. Season 1 even ventures outside of problems in the black community and touches on feminism amongst white women and the “male feminists”(the milkman) who use them.

The first season was awesome! So excited for this!
After having watched the first three episodes I find this series horrifying. It makes me feel terrible and sad and scared while at the same time hopeful that somehow things will work out for the family, though I have a desperate dread that it won't. Some reviews say the producers took racism too far. Unfortunately, I think, in actuality, it was much much worse.
