I just put two strips of packing tape on the other side that had no circuitry or gears on it to ensure that it would lightly push down on the gears to prevent the rattling sound from the tape. It works very well.

Hi, so I have lubricated the cassette player in the noise reduction is gone just like you said. But when I played in my car it’s still makes the rattling noise in my car. Is there any way to get rid of that sound?

Why not just remove the two small gears?
