    Love the tissue paper technique to hold the nut in the socket. Genius! I’m going to have to start using that.

      And if you are eco-friendly, you can use a leaf! Lol! Use whatever is available on the spot, even a piece of newspaper. As long as you don’t forget to remove it from the battery area. We don’t want it starting a fire. Thank you for watching and subscribing! -Rjeff H2H

    Removing the main battery is a struggle because of the obvious limited space & the weight of that bad boy. Easier way is first to push main battery slightly towards back (after removing all the terminal cables of course) for front angle clearance. Then, slightly lift it up at an angle to pull out & immediately insert a long enough crowbar right underneath it to help slide & pull up the battery. Can also be used to slide the new one down when installing it. It'll make things go more smoothly.

      Hello. The 2019-2020 GLB 250 auxiliary battery is located inside/under the center console. Front base of the shifter lever.
      But I think you car is too young to have a bad aux battery. Check for blown fuses and/or wiring first. These batteries should last minimum of 6 years. Hope that helps. Thank you for watching! -Rjeff H2H

    I undo the front passenger seat four screws and push it forward. It gives you unrestricted access to the battery(ies) bay.

    Did you run into any issues after disconnecting and reconnecting both battery beyond radio codes. Anything you have to reset or re-program after re-installation with a OBD reader or computer. Or is it just plug-in play like most cars. I know for the S-class you have to re-calibrate some stuff.

      Hello. I was asked just to replace the aux battery, and the owner never mentioned anything he needed reprogrammed/recalibrated afterwards. Sorry, I could not give you a better answer. Thanks-Rjeff H2H

      Hello. My opinion is just replace which one is bad. They operate independent from each other, so no sense in replacing if the other battery is still good. Hope that makes sense. Thank you for watching - Rjeff H2H

    Do you lose the codes (radio) when you replace the main battery or the auxiliary battery, is there a way to save the codes. I don’t have the codes and the local dealer won’t work with me. Thank you

    • @How2Helen
      @How2Helen  Год назад

      Hello. On our experience, we did not lose the radio codes. As you saw on the video, we had to remove the main battery, to get to the auxiliary battery. But I cannot guarantee if will have the same luck as we did. Sorry if that wasn’t much of a help. All I can do is wish you luck. I hope you have the same results as we did. Keep us posted! How long does the original auxiliary battery suppose to last?

    • @How2Helen
      @How2Helen  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hello. This was the original battery on the vehicle. And we replaced it in 2023. So from the owner’s experience, it lasted 13 years. But we don’t know if that is the average lifespan as this is the only one I have worked on so far. Thank you for watching! -Rjeff
