    Thanks for continuing on to convert to inheritance. That was helpful to understand difference and it helped me understand why I did not get external merge relationship when I first tried your steps. On my system "Add bodies" was selected by default, not "add material" as I see in your video. Once I selected "add material" button, I get the External Merge relation.

    Once again your video helped me. But these functions (copy geometry & merge inheritance) is available only in advanced Creo licese. Is there any other options available for Creo basic license version? Thanks for your contribution always.

      Hi, sorry... It is only in AAX license.. No basic functionality

      @@4kside general practice for basic license : casting will be done in part model, machining 3d will be done is assembly (we can only remove Material in assembly mode). I would like to know if there is any other option for doing the same.
      To be frank, above method is bit weird and lot of the times reference failed after a change in part model. 🙂.
