    Paisley Park is the second largest landmark in MN. Prince owned multiple properties in Chanhassen which made him the City's biggest real estate owner. 54 year old Robin bought his childhood home and as a child she would come and watch him practice playing guitar; on the fateful day she reports people coming to take photos and drop off a flower outside the home which she still lives in today.

    0:54 Interesting that the reporter gravitated towards that Musicology poster on the wall, That was the exact spot where the elevator entrance was where Prince was found. They did a good job covering it up.

    Prince's STUDIOS. How it turned into an 'estate' is rather baffling. It's as if the media and yes-fams all agreed, it's an estate. Prince may have lived there but it wasn't a home mansion estate estate. It was a recording and rehearsal studio complex with living accommodations where Prince had a bedroom, etc. so that he didn't have to drive over to another home. His first home recording studio was IN his home basement in the early 80s. A rare look inside Prince's STUIDO COMPLEX. .::Modernaire

      wendileona - Thank you! Finally somebody realizes that. I was telling everybody Prince actually had another true residential house, but the media seemed so convinced it was Paisley Park, I though he may have sold the other home and just lived at Paisley. The other home I was aware of can be seen in the video short "Gansta Glam" shot for the GET OFF multi extended versions. In that video, everybody's around the pool of his house (painted yellow w/ purple trim) and shots of them all hanging around and inside Paisley.

      1banbaru Yes he did. I remember seeing it a long time ago. He move out and gave it to his father John L. who stayed there until his death. I assume Prince moved to the home you say was on Lake Lucy Rd when he left the purple home.

      Treval...I believe there were tours of Paisley while Prince was alive....it just wasn’t set up as a “museum” yet. He WANTED paisley park to eventually be a place where his fans could come and see his legacy and listen to his music. Thanks why he was collecting and keeping all of the items from his life. He himself had already started the set up when he died. He had begun writing his autobiography too. So sad that we’ll never get to read his words in book form. Well, at least we have his treasure trove of beautiful brilliant music forever 💜💜💜.

      @@Bogeyman19Was4BraindeadPeople …… Prince specifically WANTED his beloved Paisley Park to be a museum. He is the one who laid the plans out for the museum and he mapped out where exactly the showrooms would be and he had all of his beautiful designer outfits and shoes/boots carefully boxed up & catalogued after he was done wearing them (out). This is what he desired would happen after he left this earth. All the wonderful people who work there right now are helping to make Prince’s dream a reality and they are so dedicated to his vision. Yes, I went there and I loved it. It brings you closer to Prince and if u try, u can even imagine him walking down one of the many hallways that the PP Guide takes the tour group down. It’s a magical place. All who loved him should try to go there once in their lifetime. It’s pure Prince….what could be better than that!?!💜

    3/19/2017 I am an RN,BS, also in CA & I agree with the other RN's - cher s - comment below. In CA, opiate RX fear by GPs & Internal Med docs has become so overblown that they now turf all their chronic pain patients to "pain management specialists." Most pain management specialists are former anesthesiologists. Why that is, I don't know. In CA, only pain management specialists are allowed to prescribe opiate narcotics to patients in pain. Ive read a lot of possible rumors on RUclips that the Prince was getting his opiates illegally. I'm still trying to find out if that is true or not. So sad. RIP, sweet Prince.

      Rex Spencer ... Yes they are. His ashes are inside of Paisley Park in the atrium when you first walk in. It was Prince's favorite room in the mansion. It's also where he kept his two white pet Doves in cages. Think they are still there too. His sister Tyka helped design the replica Paisley Park urn his ashes are in. They first placed the urn in the middle of the huge room but decided to hang it somehow on the wall inside of a clear plastic covering of some sorts thinking all could see it a lot better when you walk into the room. I live in Minnesota about 20 minutes from his "estate" (which Paisley is not where he lived he has a separate home and Paisley was his studio that he had rooms in due to late night, early mornings, or even simply his parties), have toured Paisley Park before, and have known and listened to the Legend that is Prince my entire life, and I can say it was basically the entire goal when building Paisley Park to have it open for tours. Unless you have lived in Minnesota you really don't fully understand how integrated he was with the public. He would repeatedly go to Chanhassen public school performances and watch the local high school perform. Or he would go to First Avenue in downtown Minneapolis where most of Purple Rain's concert scenes were filmed. Prince can be quoted on numerous occasions publicizing his relationship with Minnesota and how much he loved the people and the state. For me, a Minnesotan that grew up with Prince being the soundtrack to my life, I couldn't imagine a better tribute for Prince as well as a healing ground for those that mourn him.

      @user-gi6ee8vj1y 6 лет назад +3

      Sophie Lind, after Purple Rain, Prince could have lived anywhere in the world, but he always came home to Minnesota. At his core, he was a true blue midwesterner with a stereotypical midwestern work ethic. While some may argue that he didn't have strong biological family ties, Prince had a strong sense of community.

    Surprised Visit for my April birthday from my family. More rooms opened up late March featuring later-lesser appreciated works. Even the guides have never gone to basement where the vault lies! Feels very private and solemn in the atrium memorial.
